![]() | Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 Macro G OSS II Pros: Sharpness, fast focusing, portability Cons: Nobody Opinion: Comfortable, lightweight, space-saving lens. Fun for macro though not 1:1. Very fast and sharp. I'm really enjoying it because I go out with a single lens and I photograph my kids or whatever, without having to change lenses. Chosen instead of the 2.8, superlative but much more expensive and a bit bulkier. Very nice bokeh; Especially at 200mm it detaches very well. Materials as always excellent, and paid an amount in my opinion appropriate (1750). It has the anti-stretch lock button and the 3 usual buttons on the barrel for focusing. Having had the 100-400 and the 70-200 2.8 first series in the past, I don't see any difference between these two GMs and the new signing that is G. sent on February 06, 2024 |
![]() | Sony FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA Sonnar T* Pros: Compactness, colors, image quality Cons: Only 2.8 Opinion: Very compact and structurally gives me a better feeling than the 35 2.8 samyang I tried a short time ago. Nice colors, beautiful blurred up close. I don't like wide lenses especially if voluminous, so for me this 35 is perfect. I would have preferred it to be 2 and not 2.8 but I do not make a portrait use of it, I do not look for bokeh in this focal. In focal 85/100/135/200 yes. On a 35 no. Very recommended. sent on April 02, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM II Pros: Color rendition, AF speed, image quality. Cons: Weight, and perhaps lack of stabilizer. Opinion: The best zoom in circulation in these focals. Weighs, and stretches zooming, so discrete is not compared to F/4. I had the F/4 and I liked it... I found it comfortable in the walkaround version. But this for portraiture makes it much better. Fire fast and precise, very beautiful colors. Blurred not exceptional but still nice. This is the lens that I often wondered whether to keep or replace with fixed but then I said: Gosh I should take at least a 35 + a 24 to make landscapes, and finally I keep it always tight. For me it's really a prime killer. sent on August 24, 2018 |
![]() | Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Pros: Bokeh, colors. Cons: Softness Opinion: Excellent quality lens, especially given the age. I haven't tried the series II so I can't tell the improvements of the current model. The first series is one of those lenses that give a very creamy and deep background effect: great blur. Honestly with the time I preferred the 24-70 2.8 II for versatility, but this is my personal choice. Too bad you face now hard to find it around put well because off the market. sent on August 24, 2018 |
![]() | Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM Pros: Reliability, speed, colors, fire, everything Cons: Weight Opinion: Super Lens, maybe the best of all or almost. I came from the homonymous smooth. This has an amazing stabilizer and colors if possible even better. Someone says the hike is little and is better a 100-400 zoom. Maybe... the ideal would be to have them both. An EPR portraiture and indoor sports and one for outdoor sports and birdlife. Weighs but is well balanced. sent on August 24, 2018 |
