![]() | Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Image quality, size, sharpness, blurred Cons: None on Canon mirrorless Opinion: I admit that I have almost never used wide angles. Before leaving for a trip they convinced me to try it and I took it. Used on Canon Eos R mirrorless. Simply amazing. Well balanced, af performing, amazing image quality, I did not expect it. I used it for both set portraits and narrow portraits and I am very satisfied. Absolutely pleasant blur and precise focus. Reading some reviews I can not express opinions on the yield on traditional SLRs and on any problems of back / front focus, but on the Eos R has not missed a beat. The only images not perfectly in focus are due to my mistakes in shooting. The lack of stabilization I do not think is a problem, especially on a 24 f 1.4 sent on November 13, 2022 |
![]() | Fujifilm X100F Pros: File quality, aesthetics, portability Cons: ISO tightness Opinion: What can I say... I'm a big lover of Fuji's x100 series, I've had them all since the first one. An aesthetically wonderful object, always carrying it with you is a real pleasure, it weighs nothing and gives you emotions in using it. I don't have big hands so I hold it well. I use it for everything, street, reportage, travel, portrait and every time it amazes me. Thanks to the wide customization possibilities, I created my favorite profiles and I always shoot in jpeg + raf, to have a security file if I want to change settings. The baked files are wonderful and the raf well modeled with Capure One, even in the free version. Af not lightning, but suitable for the use that must be done with this camera, for a photograph designed. The fixed 23 (35 mm equivalent in ff) is perfect for everything. The dials of times and apertures require you to do "photography" reasoning. Good dynamic range with ample recovery possibilities on highlights. What amazed me most is the quality in print, because I am still very attached to printing which is fundamental in photography. I expected more, if I have to find a defect, from the iso seal, not exceptional. I spend the last two words for the digital teleconverter integrated into the machine: usable only for jpeg shots, it allows you to have a crop at 50 mm and 75 mm. I tried it numerous times at 50 mm, the camera automatically processes the image, applies a "smart" sharpness producing a file of about 16 mp still perfectly usable for images printed up to 30X45 without excessive loss of quality. sent on November 06, 2022 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-PRO1 Pros: Aesthetic beauty, practicality, files Cons: I don't know but better to read in opinion Opinion: I wanted to specifically buy this machine in 2019. Obsolete? Undoubtedly if you look at modern machines with 20000 mp and hyper-performing autofocus. But I took it on purpose. I tried almost all the Fuji and then sold them because if you already have a full frame full set it makes no sense to recreate a new kit that, needless to hide, can not compete. Why did I choose to keep this? I am a convinced Canon user, the rendering of the canon ff sensor combined with the L-series optics can certainly not be in the least compared, useless to turn around. But there's a but. The Canon is the "safe harbor" when you need to do certain types of work, when you need a performance, a three-dimensionality and depth of level field and you have to take home the result. But photography is also emotion and feeling, and this machine takes you back in time and, for certain uses, takes you back to real pleasure. Your handbag (and not the heavy backpack), a little book note and the desire to have a fascinating medium, not flashy and invasive in your treks, trips or city visits... An absolutely exciting feeling Light, practical, aesthetically beautiful. A file that is sometimes imperfect but that brings you back a bit to the analogue and entices you to print, a fundamental aspect of photography. And speaking of analogue its "slowness" leads you to reason, to frame well and study the lights. It's no coincidence that she travels with my Nikon fm2. I use it with the 35 f 1.4 and the 16 f 1.4 and I don't need anything else. sent on October 04, 2019 |
![]() | Leica Elmarit-R 90mm f/2.8 Pros: Extraordinary, impeccable construction, sharpness and blurred Cons: Nobody Opinion: I took this medium tele to use on Sony A7 thanks to the ease of focusing with the manual optics.rnBefore deciding I compared it with the Summicron R 90 f 2 and I preferred this.rnMy specimen belongs to the first series. rnWhich say, excellent sharpness already at full aperture, if you close the diaphragm arrives at perfect levels; beautiful and gradual detachment of the floors that does not create the effect of "figurine outline", blurred not too creamy, slightly nervous and absolutely perfect in Leica style. The Summicron I found it more creamy and soft.rnAlso on digital it gives a slightly analogue effect to the file, certainly optics with character, far from the modern optics too perfect and anonymous.rnParaluce incorporated, the optics in hand gives a feeling of absolute robustness and solidity.rnSide fluids and perfect focus (thanks also to the peak of the sony) .rnIf you're fond of portrait, narrow or set, you would not cut it off more from the machine.rnA must-have to have sent on December 16, 2017 |
![]() | Pentax M SMC 28mm f/2.8 Pros: Dimensions and weight, compactness, sharpness, colors Cons: Distortion, flare Opinion: I took this optics because I found their own change on a bancarellarnI already happy owner of 50 f 1.7 smc me so I wanted to try on Sony A7.rnFor the cost is extraordinary, good sharpness, at the edges to have sharpness you have to close at least 5, 6. Defocused very special at full aperture, not soft but a bit '"whipped" rnMi also liked the colors rnAttention to flare, not recommended in backlighting; in case of strong lighting it is advisable to always use a paraluce.rnIndubly distorted, but what can be expected from an absolutely low cost 40 years ago? rnBarried with the Distagon 28 f 2.8 does not hold pace, but for those who want to spend little It is stra recommended. sent on December 16, 2017 |
![]() | Fujifilm X100s Pros: Design, size and portability, outstanding files Cons: Beware of shadows Opinion: I tried almost all fuji, and I was happy. But of this I innamorato.rnBella crazy, ultimate portability, gives little eye, the next to my 5d mark iii or even use it on my own and I'm never deluso.rnIl files that kind, perhaps for the optics which is less defined equivalent 23 interchangeable, it is less clear and sharp of other fuji, so for my taste is perfect. It looks like part of the film that I continue to utilizzare.rnOvviamente we are far from ff files, but you should know at the start and avoid inutii and sterile paragoni.rnMacchina perfect you always have in tow. For travel to carry with me along with tcl-x100 and I do not need anything else. It allows you to travel light and be happy to take pictures without having pounds of stuff on his back, knowing to bring home a result buono.rnLa battery does not last long, but with a little cash if they can be linked with other non-original but equally performing type patona.rnAutofocus compatible with a camera exposure because riflessivarnAttenzioneIt is to recover details in shadows is not agevole.rnUn must-have !! sent on September 14, 2016 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T1 Pros: Ergonomics, tropicalization, electronic viewfinder outstanding Cons: Battery life especially if you use electronic shutter. Opinion: Must have. I tried all fuji, x100, x-e1, e2-x, x-pro1. I have always been skeptical of t1 because I preferred the line leica style. Now I also have this and I'm fascinated. Light and tropical conditions, a viewfinder to excellence, never seen anything like this. In my opinion even surpasses that of Sony a7. With the latest update the af is great (at least for my kind of photography that includes sports and the like). Swingable rear screen high definition and, above all, all the essential commands to wheel as in analogue photography. The electronic shutter helps in bright light allowing you to take full aperture but beware, consumes a lot of battery. I noticed, also from happy owner of x-e2 that the battery is lower, so I suggest to have at least 3 if you need to do an output that makes you worry. Pleasant can customize the controls at your fingertips. The sensor is identical to that of the so mistreated x-e2 for which you do not expect miracoils. Speaking to staff Fuji, I reflected that it would be able to turn off the screen rear exceptional as in SLR. In fact you can do, but in this case the deactivation of the screen allows you to see the photos taken after if not through the viewfinder. It only needs a simple firmware update sent on September 20, 2015 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 23mm f/1.4 R Pros: Solid, gives the impression of having suffered serious perspective in his hands, crystal clear, well-designed Cons: Hood not adequate Opinion: Optics wonderful, a handyman must-have if you want to image quality in a small body mirrorless.rnIo that use X-E2, because compared to the XT1 prefer setting Leica around with this light "welded" to the car and I do everything: landscape, reportage, portrait ambientato.rnMolto crisp, blur nervous definitely not creamy, but with great carattere.rnMessa focus precise and relatively quick. Great performance both in color and in black and nero.rnUn bit of chromatic aberration and distortion especially at wide openings contenuta.rnCome said in contrast, the lens hood is huge and not adequate. I replaced it with a circular metal hood that is easily found on ebay or amazon for less than € 10rnFa kit alone, but if coupled to 14:56 makes complete equipment. sent on November 27, 2014 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Pros: Construction, color, focus, three-dimensional image Cons: Apart from the price, a little too soft to TA Opinion: I state that I am a fetishist of the optics so, having had various 50 (1.4 Canon, Sigma EX 1.4, 1.4 sigma art series), I decided to try to see the performance. 50 is the lens I use the most in assoluto.rnAlla I finally gave up and I'm loving it:) rnOttica exceptional for the type of photography that belongs to me (portrait and fashion), beautiful colors, beautiful rendering of the complexion, focus fast and accurate, three-dimensional. It is not a "blade" as is Sigma 50 f Article 1.4 series, but I took it on purpose because the softer and made especially the blurred, allow me to have images more easily lavorabili.rnE 'perspective that balance well with the machine body, very robust but not pesante.rnA f2 sharpness, taking account of course of the opening is very good, since f4 becomes outstanding. A f 1.2 and F1.4 not be expected clarity as that of the sigma art: if you shoot a full length and you go tolook eye enlarged to 100% is not fully defined, so if you are looking for a view "blade" typically digital, look elsewhere. But once "tamed" is a view with a smoothness and plasticity which is impossible to find in other lenti.rnCome it said by some, suffers from chromatic aberration, but is easily removed with a simple adjustment in ps.rnEccezionale also on film !! !! rnDetto this, I finally have found the right 50 and hardly I separerò.rn sent on October 30, 2014 |
![]() | Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Sharpness, Bokeh, Construction Cons: Weight Opinion: Just arrived in my park optic story first impressions. The lens is well built with good materials, supplied lens hood in confezione.rnGrande sized and heavy, about 810 grams, it is not just the classic cinquanta.rnAppena mounted am impressed by fast autofocus and the fact that the lens is not presents problems of front / back focus.rnAnche in focus with moving subjects, you will get excellent clarity risultati.rnLa is already outsmart f1, 4, departing from point a fire begins a gradual blurring that results in a soft and creamy bokeh very piacevole.rnChiudendo diaphragms increases the sharpness in a formidabile.rnDevo make extensive tests, but I noticed that suffers a bit 'backlight pronunciato.rnUltima very positive note for the colors that do not appear so cold and distant from the optical canon. sent on July 24, 2014 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R Pros: Lightweight, versatile, af precise sharpness wide open Cons: Aperture ring a little soft. Lens hood cap useless Opinion: I think it's a must-have in the kit lens Fuji x. Undoubtedly, my favorite being a lover of 50 mm. Excellent optical design, precision AF, pleasant to use, even in manual thanks to the bezel is not too small. I was impressed by the sharpness at full aperture and the pleasant blur especially in people photography. Also suitable environmental portrait, of course provided it is not too tight to avoid distortions. Beautiful color rendition. Not just lightning in focus, but is part of the first targets products. Use is discreet because the dimensions are contained. F 4 the yield is nothing short of stunning, and it tells one that is associated with the umbilical cords to the Canon L lenses. sent on May 17, 2014 |
