![]() | Panasonic Lumix G 45-200mm f/4-5.6 II OIS Pros: Good performance over almost the entire focal range Cons: It is recommended not to exceed in shots with low light Opinion: I had long cultivated the idea of having a focal length a bit... 'heavy'. Without exaggerating in every respect, yield, quality, price. So getting to a real 400 for me was more than satisfactory. Now out of production since '17, I found in the characteristics of this lens what I needed. Stabilized, tropicalized, compact, light. Found used... and there are few around. at a fair price from RCE with 2 year warranty. So immediately put under stress I can't complain at all and now... I get there where sometimes I wanted to get a detail, a moment. The real blur is good, the MAF without problems, stabilized twice as much on my Pana body I bring home sometimes unexpected results. It is a lens that I define... of support, which is used less proportionally but it is right to be able to have. With the Oly 9/18 and 12/40 Pro cousins I do everything with satisfaction. A piece of advice... if you are inclined, as already mentioned there are few... Adjust yourself! sent on March 08, 2025 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G Vario 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS Pros: much more than I expected... Cons: much less than I expected... Opinion: .. it was really a coincidence that I came across this lens, the story starts from the fact that I was looking for a second G 80 Pana body. that I found... I would say a real deal, little used, complete with box and booklet, just out of warranty, then 4 batteries, battery grip... and.. and.. the 12/60...all practically at the price of the camera body alone. I'll sell it immediately, I said to myself, I'll get something.... Stories... I started using it and I got a taste for it! I state that I already have the fantastic Oly 12/40...but those extra 20 mm, when you go out with only one lens... make the difference! In my review notes of the Oly in fact I denounced that the only 'flaw' was the short extension which was sometimes a limit. Well, now I'm keeping this and even if the performance comparison we know has no history, I'm unexpectedly reaping really pleasant satisfactions! Stabilized (double with the Pana body), tropicalized, really light, it will sometimes take the place of the legendary Pana 14/140 that I will never sell. For a kit lens I would say that it is more than satisfactory. vote above 9. sent on July 14, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Pros: quality and quality again Cons: for my use the 40 is a bit ... short 50/60 was better Opinion: the favorite one among the optical park in my possession (4 that are enough!) factotum although I admit a 60 was more flexible but ... quality breaks down.... only my little Oly forty-five.. precisely the fixed that at 45/1.8 is a .. razor can in some cases compete... but it's a fixed. Great on every occasion is respected in the results it offers me with any light... a war machine! sent on May 11, 2021 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6 Pros: there are still no similar optics around that in the quality/price/weight/footprint ratio, they compete with him Cons: you have to settle for an dated optics that then from various brands has been increased as performance but also as a price, size... and weight! Opinion: I make it short, read what Preben wrote that I share in full, in fact my purchase was only after reading his review ... and he believes me knows a lot! I use it relatively little but I lacked a 'large' and a real 18/36 covers everything I do.. at the bottom, remember its portableness, I with two optics go out and I can cover a range from 18 to 280 with discreet quality... and little sweat! sent on May 11, 2021 |
![]() | Panasonic G80 / G81 / G85 Pros: ... what I wanted Cons: as already said and specified by many before me only small things that remain marginal for my use Opinion: having to slowly try to find a machine body that had been more performing than the previous one (Pana G5) I came to the conclusion of buying the G80 (used certain and at a fair price..) in fact for four years now I have had it with great pleasure and satisfaction to use,... of course the G9 grants more but, for my needs I have something to sell! I have seen splendid results of people much more attentive and sophisticated than me who have whipped so to speak the characteristics of this machine body by scrambling it in situations of all kinds and taking home remarkable shots ... what to say, they were already the test that made me choose and buy. Being a Panadipendente for several years now I made this choice as having also the same batteries as the G5 (I have 4) I can go out with two cars not be afraid to stay on foot, I remember a carnival where the readiness of a shot was vital and with two machines ready with different focal points all... it was perfect. Of course you must like and almost love the m4/3 but for my use it is enough, I still recommend this step to those without too many frills want to bring home good results without ... kg backpacks in bodies and targets. ![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 Pros: Light, small, practical, effective, economical, what I wanted! Cons: Still not found problem (no hood and no filters but venial), the only flaw is in my car body that stops at 1/4000 and sometimes in TA in the sun are walking ... Opinion: If there was to be a reason not to abandon the system 4/3 well then this is the reason, light trip but I missed a focused lens for close-ups and details, found to be used at 180 euros, now makes me think about shots that before ' I would solve 'with Pana 14-140, inconsistent the result, (in addition to that I gave me an additional Macroprocessor P.01 lens) recommended to all fours, down with the cable with Oly 9-18 so now Just go ahead sent on June 05, 2017 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH OIS Pros: compactness, lightness, excellent construction, stabilized. Cons: you can't have 'great' results due to a just discreetly acceptable brightness' a focal amplitude that begins to limit performance. Opinion: for almost a year I have had this lens strongly,... desired to associate it with a Panasonic m4/3 body (DMC-G5). but also weighed down and bulky if I have to defend it a little, everything is what you are looking for. I shot using all its potentials and certainly even if it has limits, the brightness is acceptable, the discreet construction, compactness and lightness make him a good travel companion if you want to be light. I admit that Technically I can not give data to satisfy the 'gurus' of photography the very fact that I chose it makes me an anomalous photographer who is 'satisfied'... but I repeat everything is about what we want to do. In my opinion I add a 'gem'.... with the G5 I can digitally make a 2x that associated with the ratio of the sensor brings in case of zumata the value ... 140 x 4 = 560.. (a nice cannon!).. the fact is that I tried and the result (others tell me, those who understand it..) was good.. I would say that this too should not be underestimated, even if it is at the limit 'performance'. good light at all G. sent on March 01, 2015 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G5 Pros: Light weight, compact, technology, versatile Cons: tropicalization missing, a wheel controls in my opinion too sensitive that sometimes compromises the selection Opinion: avvicinatomi recently to photography after compact camera, bridge (Olympus and Pana) I landed in fact I chose this machine in the hope that would fit my needs '... the answer' .... si.Leggera, performance (limited to its Sensor) technology .... too, he would say everything, missing perhaps among the important things tropicalization but 'would have further increased the price, good viewfinder display versatile, ergonomic controls for me (I come from the FZ 48), except the selection wheel on the right ... and that 'too sensitive, I would say that for those who are not' fixed with the world SLR and 'a good, perhaps very good alternative, certainly if they were an APS-C ..... add that I coupled to a 14-140 lens with which I cover 90% of my scatti.non video but I do know that even here good quality 'G. sent on February 23, 2015 |
