![]() | Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Focal length, construction. Versatility. Very inviting price to date Cons: Zoom that loosens, very soft on focal lengths from 70 upwards, uncomfortable combined with an ML with adapter due to weight and imbalance. Opinion: Quality all-rounder from Canon. Purchased as an all-rounder and mounted on an RP. The first impression was immediately the imbalance between body and lens but compensated by the excellent quality and beautiful colors given by this lens even if used for portraits with focal lengths higher than 70 it returned soft and not incisive images but still very beautiful with a very pleasant blur. Combined with an R6mk2 the quality is improved. Over time the zoom tends to loosen and no longer allowed me to take long exposure shots on a tripod with an upward or downward angle. It is certainly an optic that gives its best combined with a reflex. Recommended with adapter for ML if your budget does not allow for a relative RF optics. sent on December 25, 2024 |
![]() | Canon EOS R6 Mark II Pros: Autofocus, burst, key customization, lightweight. Very good high highlights and shadows recovery. In good light conditions even at high ISO usable photos with little noise. Cons: As far as I'm concerned, this camera only lacks the possibility of being able to take photos on its own Opinion: I state that this review of mine is aimed at those like me who shoot for pure passion without any artistic pretense and is devoid of technical judgments given my little experience with other cameras. Switching to R6 mk2 was the big leap. After an Rp in my possession I finally have a tool suitable for my needs. I immediately noticed the possibility of working the raw in a much more satisfying way by recovering dark areas and highlights by far but the most exciting side is to exploit this camera in birdlife. After a few small settings combined with a sigma 150 600 the R6mk2 does not miss a shot, hallucinatory burst and never makes you miss the moment if you are able to seize it. The ability to customize the keys makes the machine versatile in any situation. The only drawback: the native RF optics are expensive, but alas it's part of the game and I like this game! Very high responsiveness when the machine is switched on and always ready for use. Like many other users, I can say that the build quality gives a low-quality feel, but my old RP, made of the same materials, I literally raped it for three years and sold it with no marks from use. The right feeling was triggered with me and I would probably buy it another time. sent on November 21, 2024 |
![]() | Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C Pros: Price, quality, weight ratio Cons: None if you are aware of what you are buying Opinion: I come from a tamron 70 300 and an ef 100 400 first series so my review is based on my previous experience. Before buying it I read many reviews about this lens, I read about poor sharpness at long focal lengths and problems related to auto focus especially pulsing effects related to the canon r6 mk2. Surely, looking at many photos taken with high-end lenses you can't expect the same performance but this Sigma amazed me. With Canon r6 mk2 no problem in front of back focus and once I adjusted the focus speed on the camera the Sigma did not miss a beat, keeping in focus, if not too far away, passerines and medium-sized animals. If at the right distance, you get remarkable sharpness even at the widest apertures while keeping the lens always bright. If found used and you want to approach birdlife, this Sigma gives great satisfaction with a very low expense compared to high-end lenses. P.S.: if anyone has doubts about the performance in combination with the r6 (it was a doubt that I had been trying to clarify for some time) I can assure you that together they are a high precision shotgun! ![]() | Canon EOS RP Pros: Lightweight, cheap (if used socket) and for what it's worth very versatile Cons: None if you are aware of what you are buying. Opinion: I'm an amateur photographer and I can't make great comparisons but coming from a 600D, alpha 65 and an alpha 6000 coming back to Canon with this RP was a return to loving photography. The leap was clear in terms of quality and I added to this little one a kit that starts from a 16 up to 400 pushing me to also make birdlife. As far as landscape, street and portraits are concerned, this RP is perfect and in good light conditions it gives much less satisfaction, however, if attached to a telephoto lens that is slow in the Maf and noisy in low light conditions. In conclusion, I would like to recommend this RP to all those who would like to switch to FF or start shooting with a quality above the entry level aps-c. I felt good enough to buy an r6 mk2 and make another leap. RP makes you love photography. sent on October 02, 2024 |
