Pros: Small, light, quite affordable, decent bokeh quality for an ultra wide lens, good reproduction ratio, nice and sharp in the middle and most of the frame, works well against bright light and Sun

Cons: Soft edges, ridiculously small filter size, lens hood sold separately

Opinion: Well, for the price, this lens is a must-have. And it's rather unique, RF system only. I really enjoyed using it for close-ups, walkaround, landscapes, food, pets, cars, even portraits. It seems to be wider than 16mm when shot in RAW without lens corrections ON and the edge details look better when not stretched out by the lens geometry correction. Therefore it is better to keep the corrections OFF in many situations. Highly recommended!

Pros: Cost, size, f 2.8

Cons: Lack of AF/MF button, distortion

Opinion: I needed a wide-angle lens to use on the R6. I chose this lens and it was a great choice. Very compact, transportable in any small space of the backpack, excellent quality/price ratio. I use it both for the (few) landscapes that I photograph and for macro settings, mainly Butterflies and dragonflies. Really good, even if it doesn't have a high RR. One of the few drawbacks is the lack of a button to switch to manual fire, now it is a bit more inconvenient to always switch from the menu. For my use, the expense is worth everything!

Pros: Lightness, price, sharpness

Cons: Missing af/mf button, missing hood

Opinion: I deal with interior photography and related videos. I chose this lens to use it in videos by virtue of lightness but, of course, I tried to take some shots. I was absolutely impressed! True, the distortion is obvious, but LR fixes it automatically. For obvious reasons I hardly shoot less than f8 and the sharpness is impressive! I think soon I will sell the historic 16-35 f4... On the video side I have nothing to report, the optics behaves very well! Too bad for the absence of the focus switch! But just change in the car! Given the price and performance, really negligible as a thing. In conclusion, highly recommended, ache for a pro use, as long as you use it appropriately! I mean, if you take a freehand photo of the interior, at 2.8, then the problems are other and not of the optics!

Pros: Size, IQ, Close Focus

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Used on Canon R10, then APSC format. Phantom lens in my opinion. The image quality is all on APSC, cutting away the edges. The minimum focusing distance allows you to make really interesting close-ups. All in a very compact and lightweight body. I think that for the price at which it is sold you can not ask for much more.

Pros: Economical, bright and compact.

Cons: To have sharpness at the edges you must close the diaphragm by at least 2 stops.

Opinion: Some time ago I sold the 16-35 f/4 L IS because, in fact, I used it very little. A real best buy, unbeatable for quality / price ratio. With the 24-105 I did and I do almost everything and that's why I sold the 16-35. Either I brought him or I carried 24-105. Passed from the 6DII to the EOS R, I still felt the lack of a super wide-angle focal length that this fantastic 16mm has given me back and that given its compactness, now I always carry with me. It certainly does not shine like the 16-35, but it still gives good satisfaction, especially if you do not have professional and mounted needs, it is almost like not having given it its featherweight. Given its overall characteristics, including flaws, for me it deserves a nice 9 thanks to its portability. If it doesn't fit in my bag because maybe I put something else in it, then I put it in my pocket and it's always with me.
