fujifilm_100-400wrFujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR

Pros: Sharpness, focal range, quality, weight and is tropicalized

Cons: The tripod collar is a bit small

Opinion: I've been using it for a month and if necessary I'll update the review. Taken for landscapes, I don't do birdlife, because in the end I discovered that for this kind of photography I like the two extremes. In 70/300 I had the opportunity to try it and I was not satisfied at all so I chose to take the 100/400. This image compression lens gives me insights that I was missing and like. It has a very good build quality and between 100/300 an excellent image quality, at the upper end of the focal range it becomes a bit soft at the edges but nothing dramatic and if you know it composes accordingly. For the kind of photos for which I used it, autofocus and stabilization count for little, I wanted to test them to understand what I had in my hands and I must say that I am very satisfied with them. I imagine that with more performing cameras than the xs-10 it is even faster in tracking but that's fine with me. Coming from another brand in the past I had never dreamed of having a zoom like this for the type of photos I like to take, too heavy and bulky as well as costing an arm and an eye of the forehead. This is not a featherweight compared to the 55/200 but if you don't have to do very long routes it is always with me and the price is also affordable considering the quality of the optics. I also tried it with a 1.4x multiplier borrowed from a friend and I have to say it holds up well.

fujifilm_xf10-24wrFujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR

Pros: Dimensions, internal zomm, possibility of mounting screw filters, focal range

Cons: Edge sharpness above 20 mm

Opinion: I've been using it for two years and it has an excellent focal range. With just over 400 grams you are covered from 15 to 35 mm. It is inconspicuous and so even in the street it is inconspicuous. I didn't put among the cons the fact that it is f4 because if you want a zoom with this focal range and even light then you can't have a larger aperture, you buy it for what it is and it does its job. I preferred it to the sigma 10-18 precisely because of the greater focal range and because I use it at 24 for panoramas. At higher focal lengths it loses sharpness at the edges, it's just to pay a little attention in the composition and by playing it well you also save yourself the hassle of adding vignetting.

fujifilm_16-55_f2-8wrFujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR

Pros: Sharpness, solidity, materials used, focal range

Cons: For some the weight, for me this is not a con either

Opinion: I want to thank Fuji for making the II version of this lens, only in this way I was able to find a used one at human prices. I came from the 16-80 and I was fine with it as long as I didn't use it above 60/70 mm so in terms of focal range I didn't feel the difference. It has an exceptional quality of materials, solid and robust. It is a pleasure to assemble it and carry it around. It has nothing to envy to the CANON RF 24-70 f/2.8 I had and with the 10-24 I can take 90% of the landscape photos. The performance is already good at 2.8 but by aperturing by one stop it becomes excellent over the entire frame. It is not stabilized but the machine is. For me, 200 grams of difference compared to the old model are not discriminatory, with the difference in price I paid for two years of gym.

fujifilm_x-s10Fujifilm X-S10

Pros: Grip, image quality, stabilizer, weight

Cons: screen, is not tropicalized and does not have the selector that allows the transition from Manual to AF-S/AF-c

Opinion: I switched to Fuji a couple of years ago selling Canon camera and lenses, the budget allowed me this one and I decided to take it even if it does not offer the "typical feeling" of a Fujifilm. Not bad since I came from a brand where you had to do everything without training wheels. Setting those three/four essential commands and disabling the touchscreen for me would be perfect if it were tropicalized and with a non-video screen but still it does its job very well even if in the rain you have to be a little careful. The files it produces are good and workable, in landscaping I always do a bracketing of 5 exposures and recover lights and shadows, working on the single exposure does not allow you to stress the file much. The batteries are a bit of a hassle, you are forced to carry at least a spare couple every session. In two years I think I have used continuous af a couple of times so I don't express myself, the single one works well and is reliable. I don't use facial recognition, old school, I focus on the eye and recompose. The reasons why I would switch to an xt are mainly due to the cons I have highlighted and, having tried it, the xt5 files seem much more workable to me.
