Pros: Like everyone else: optical quality and reliability. Contrary to all: THE WEIGHT and the COST (and I would also add the DIMENSIONS)

Cons: If you start from the idea that you wanted to buy a zoom that covers you 24-82 with constant f/2.8: NONE

Opinion: I've been using it for several months and I'm totally satisfied, on the road it's not true that it's heavy (on the T-30II total 1070 grams real, on the X-PRO3 total 1192 grams real) as in the interiors (with 2.8 and a bit of ISO there are no limits). Tropicalized indeed, with top-notch optical quality and made almost to military specifications. But the reason why I felt the need to include this review is that what I read in many of the previous reviews does not seem well thought out, as the weight and cost are always indicated in the "cons", and here I explain: this lens costs about 1100 euros and weighs 655 g; But have you seen how much the similar Zoom of other brands cost and weigh? Ok, I'll save you the trouble and I'll tell you: CANON RF 24-70 f/2.8 2449 euros and 900 g: NIKON Z 24-70 f/2.8 2188 euros and 805 g; PANASONIC LUMIX S PRO 24-70 1989 euros and 935 g....... And I'll stop there. So, in the light of these data, if you still think about the cost and the weight.... well! Better to sell it and replace it with three f/2s. I personally am sorry that it is about to go out of production.

Pros: Good sharpness, zoom ring, aperture ring

Cons: Focus in less than perfect light conditions, lens hood to be used only as a bumper, WEIGHT

Opinion: It's definitely a premium lens, you'll see that when you try it. I've been working there for years and I feel great about it. The absence of stabilization, for what I have to do, is not a problem. In general for event and sports photography (when you need a wide-angle lens), it's a perfect lens. The only thing that has always made me turn up my nose is the high weight, especially if you don't use a BG the machine will have no ergonomics and will be difficult to hold.

Pros: Robust, sharp lens, perfect to hold attached to the machine as an all-rounder

Cons: Some specimens have problems with the diaphragm ring... read below

Opinion: Perfect lens to keep in the car, 2.8 sharp, not too bulky and gives a nice feeling of robustness. With this and a fixed 1.4 you can already safely cope with most situations. So far with regard to photos of events, weddings, portraits, family photos etc. I have not felt the need for a longer focal length. The only negative note that no one in the Italian forums says is that some specimens (perhaps especially in the second-hand market) have problems with the diaphragm ring at 2.8. Let me explain. Passing from any diaphragm to 2.8 the ring has a very light play that makes the apertures change the apertures totally at random. So it can happen that during a service in which you have to switch quickly for example from f4 to f2.8 you must necessarily be sure that the camera is shooting at 2.8 because a very light micro displacement of the ring is enough to have the apertures busted. A known and very reported problem in English language in various forums. It happened to me both with a specimen of the 16-55 and with a 50-140.

Pros: Excellent sharpness! accurate construction, No Flare, WR, Optics avowedly Professional. A masterpiece!

Cons: It is not stabilized, to have it you have to donate a kidney!

Opinion: If we want to talk about Fuji Zoom Lentics with attributes well.... this for me is definitely the "all-rounder" Zoom lens par excellence! Installed on our Fuji, I have an X-H2s, it is definitely a perfect combination from every point of view. The frames it returns are nothing short of stunning, at any focal length and already from f / 2.8 it is wonderfully sharp, if we then close a Stop and beyond the sharpness it becomes even exaggerated! The blur is nice creamy ideal for portraits, more than suitable for Street Photography and of course also suitable for landscapes, wedding photos, family, etc. etc., a versatile, reliable zoom and AF both fast and precise and silent. The diaphragm ring is very precise with the right Click, that of the focal range and MF are frictioned at the right point! It is made with first-rate material, even that bit of plastic material used and first-rate, NO plasticaccia! Put simply, this Fuji Zoom lens is simply a C A P O L A V O R O! Although this Zoom has been in production since 2015, it remains cmq always current, valid and highly sought after for the Fuji kit, it is to have absolutely! Make some sacrifices but buy it is really worth all the money it costs and in my opinion even something more! Good shot to all!

Pros: Optical quality with capital Q, granite construction, great sharpness, 77mm filters, tropicalization, autofocus

Cons: Dimensions, WEIGHT WEIGHT WEIGHT WEIGHT WEIGHT.

Opinion: The best Fujinon lens I've had in stock: excellent optical quality, no intrusive flare, no AC, distortion and vignetting completely solvable. Silent and fast autofocus. Convenient filter size 77mm, common to the 24-70/24-105 f4 to which it is attributable, granite construction with very precise diaphragm ring and effective tropicalization. Compared to my fujinon 23 1.4 and 56 1.2, it is sharper and crisper at any aperture so, given this premise, I do not consider the cost a defect. Defect instead the weight and dimensions almost from Full Frame. They are already felt on X-T4 so imagine on all the other smaller bodies ... A professional perspective in all respects that brings home any job, but that in my opinion has little to do with the philosophy of use Fujifilm and the idea of aps-c.
