![]() | Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW Pros: Flip opening, lightweight, comfortable. Cons: Perhaps the quality of the main hinge. Capacity of the non-photographic part not too abundant. Opinion: I have this backpack for 5 years now, even bought 3 times. The first time the hinge broke after 18 months and Lowepro changed it completely under warranty (I asked how to do it at Photokina). Then since the conditions were getting worse I bought another one and now I have 2. I use it a lot. For me it is the perfect backpack. If I have to make excursions only photographic I can bring 2 camera bodies with lens mounted and 2 other generous lenses, plus possibly the 70-200 (in its case) in the upper pocket. For hiking in the mountains port 1 camera body 3/4 objectives and the necessary for lunch + jacket. The shoulder straps are very comfortable, in the waist belt there are two pockets where I store handkerchiefs and snacks. The side pockets can carry 1 water bottle and tripod (or 2 water bottles) while on the front you can anchor a jacket and possibly blanket. There is the whistle and the rain cover in a convenient pocket (hidden, in which I also insert banknotes and documents). The internal dividers can be opened and become small pockets for accessories. In the front pocket you can insert different accessories, filters, a tablet. Convenient rotation system that allows you to open the backpack without placing it on the ground, the rear opening (flipside) guarantees good safety even in confused areas and with many people. For me it is the perfect backpack, maybe it would need more space for non-photographic equipment at the top, but it would become too bulky. sent on November 23, 2022 |
![]() | Canon RF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Pros: Sharpness, brightness, build quality Cons: Weight and price Opinion: I had all 50 Canon EF series and this new RF is three spans above. It is beautiful to see, with the EOS R it goes perfectly and leaves a feeling of incredible solidity. Compared to the EF 50 F/1.2, it has a resounding sharpness and a really impressive autofocus speed. The blurred TA is intense and leaves a beautiful feeling of three-dimensionality. The quality of the materials, the guineas, the plastics is at its highest, and fully respects the history of Canon's L series. You want to leave it fixed on the machine. I think if it's not perfection little we miss. Weight is a flaw, but up to a point, the (exorbitant) price is definitely a problem. sent on January 02, 2020 |
![]() | Samyang 12mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye Pros: Field angle, price, robustness Cons: All manual, the machine does not detect shooting data, limited fish-eye effect. Opinion: I've been trying this lens for about a week and I have to admit that the value for money is amazing. It is true, it is completely manual, but from such a perspective it matters relatively little. With the focus peaking of the EOS R does not miss a beat. Compared to the Fish-Eye 8-15 Canon the difference in vision is there but it is less important than it may seem by the numbers: with the Canon used at 14mm they are almost identical (in fact the angle of view is for both 180 degrees). Even the flare, compared to the 14 F/2.8 II of Canon, is minimal. If I have to find a flaw, indeed two, I can say that the fish-eye effect is less important than you might expect (but it can also be an advantage) and then, it may not be important but to the subscriber to annoy, this thing that the snap data is not recorded on the file is a small problem. sent on December 08, 2019 |
![]() | Canon 6D Mark II Pros: Very adjustable screen, price, weight Cons: Only 6.5 fps Opinion: I've gone from 6d Old to Mark II for over a year and in the past I think I've owned a good part of Canon (and non) DSLRs. This I think is simply exceptional: Maybe it is not at the level of the 5d Markiv as image quality (not very distant), but with this wins the comparison for lightness, adjustable screen (why is not implemented as standard on all SLR cameras?) and Price. For my use I can not find flaws: it is true that I do not use the video compartment, but from a photographic point of view is excellent. It has its limits and depends a lot on the use (If you photograph only sport think of another) but in 95% of the cases is simply perfect. sent on January 02, 2019 |
![]() | Sirui T-1204X Pros: Light weight, small, maximum height important, Arca Swiss system, excellent range Cons: Not perfect locking of the central collar, possibly excessive price Opinion: After a dozen tripod I finally found my favorite. Very light (weighs about 950gr), very versatile, robust with a good range (tested with Canon 6d and 70-200 F/2.8 IS). Excellent for both hiking in the mountains and in the city, fits easily in the backpack. Quick and practical opening. Equipped with bag and accessories. Absolutely recommended. sent on December 05, 2018 |
