![]() | Panasonic Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 Macro OIS Pros: stabilization, tropicalization, excellent image rendering, excellent macro for beginners like me. Cons: I would have put the zoom lock, in the various focal lengths and not only at 24 mm. Opinion: I state that I am a lover of fixed focal lengths. I was a happy owner of a 35mm and an 85mm, both Lumix. For needs, however, I could not always change lenses between one shot and another. Through my trusted dealer, Foto Orlando, I found the 24-105mm f/4 zoom used and decided to switch from still to zoom. In the first photographic outing with the new lens, love did not take place. I was used to the performance of my fixed lenses and I had to learn how to use this lens. The photos were nice, but they didn't fascinate me that much, and I almost regretted the change. Then, learning to use the lens well with my Lumix S1R, I changed my mind: excellent photos in any light condition. In addition, the stabilization of the camera together with the lens is a bomb. I also approached macro photography, with acceptable results. Before I couldn't take macro photos with my fixed lenses. So I fully recommend this lens to those who are undecided and still don't know which photograph is right for them. sent on March 31, 2025 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix S 26mm f/8 Pros: Lightweight, manual focus. Cons: Delicate Opinion: I bought this lens out of curiosity, I didn't expect who knows what image quality, but I must say that with my Panasonic Lumix s1r I had excellent results with daylight, a nice detail, and a great image, even enlarging it is very sharp as you can see from the test photos I uploaded. I specify that for manual focus it has never been a problem for me, since I always focus manually with any lens. sent on March 31, 2025 |
![]() | Panasonic S1R Pros: Well built, great key handling, gorgeous viewfinder. Cons: I come from an Olympus this the weight is felt (but after a while the habit is no longer noticeable), the non-compatibility to 100x100 with the old Sigma lenses with l mount maunt Opinion: The machine gives the feeling of a real tank, well made and solid, it gives confidence in handling it. Combined with the original lenses and close to perfect it returns splendid images immediately, if well set up (almost) it does not require hole retouching. I've been using a Micro 4/3 system for years, so my first approach was a bit disorienting, I had to get the hang of it with the FF system, but once I got the hang of it I fell in love with it, it has an infinite menu, even with various effects used just to try how they came, (they only work jpg), the keys were put in the right places at least I get to all the keys and levers quietly. The manual focus is very smooth and precise, you have to be careful because being so fluid it takes very little to move it inadvertently. The optical viewfinder is a really excellent thing, a top quality. for me and passed with flying colors sent on July 01, 2024 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix S 35mm f/1.8 Pros: Very good lens like the sisters. Cons: material Opinion: I bought this lens, to replace the Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 (great lens, but not compatible at 100x100 with my Lumix S1R, the focus motor flickered, so the ratings sometimes came out of focus). The lens on the camera is as perfect as its sisters, the color and image rendition is perfect, the image rendition is really sharp. Almost at the levels of the Sigma 35 it replaced. I also use the Lumix s 85mm f1.8 lens, both of which have a beautiful bokeh effect. I recommend both lenses. sent on July 01, 2024 |
![]() | Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Image Quality, True Colors Cons: weight, problem of continuous fire coupled to the Lumix s1r (solved after various and varied sieves). Opinion: I bought this lens with L mount mount for my Lumix s1r camera, because I switched from the micro4/3 system to the FF, so the focal lengths I use for my photography are 85 mm ( I took 85 mm f1.8 Lumix), I was missing the 35 mm, so given the opportunity to take the Sigma 35 mm art. f1.4 DG HSM, and intrigued by the excellent reviews I opted for this lens instead of the Lumix one. The first impression you perceive, holding it in your hand is THE WEIGHT, undeniable, due to the 1.4 aperture, the materials used and the optical group. Then mounted on a tank like my Lumix S1R, together they reach a considerable weight, but gives the feeling of sturdiness. This lens together with the Lumix gives a frightening image quality even in terms of colors, I do very little to post/produce photos, I just have to apply the lens correction, then the image is already good like this. The sore point for that has a Lumix s1 doing the various tests, I realized that the 35 mm Art F1.4 continuous focus did not lock on to the subject, the focus motor flickered, while with the single or manual focus excellent. Given the problem I start to see various comments, where I notice that other people have had the same problem, but I have not found how to fix it. So I did a thousand tests, a thousand attempts, until I was almost exhausted and to the point of giving away a lens that I had fallen in love with, by pure chance in the settings of the Lumix I come across the zoom option in the focus, I activate that option and 'the problem solved, now I'm very happy to have this lens in my kit. (Clarification all sigma HSM lenses give this problem on the LUMIX S1, but with this resolution they are all fine.) sent on April 24, 2024 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix S 85mm f/1.8 Pros: aperture, image quality/ Cons: Nothing so far. Opinion: I recently switched from the micro 4/3 system, to the FF system, as my first lens I bought the Panasonic Lumix s 85 mm f1.8, at the beginning I could not get the images I wanted, since there was a clear difference to capture with micro 4/3 to the FF, once I get the hang of it I find this lens spectacular makes an image quality, Truly exceptional as a portrait optic. At full aperture it has a really beautiful and pleasant bokeh effect, it has a detachment from the drone to the out-of-focus with the right fade. sent on April 24, 2024 |
![]() | OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4 PRO Pros: Excellent construction, lightness. Cons: currently not found. Opinion: Premise, I wanted to buy out of curiosity is the low cost of 40/150 mm f4 -5.6, once purchased used that lens, I fell in love with the lens, so I put in the photographic backpack my 15/45 f.4 pro, almost forgetting about him, to use it I had to force myself to do it, because, focal lengths used from 35 to 40. So I started to inquire about the 40/150 mm f.4 pro, after reading various reviews and some videos of that lens, I decided to buy it. found an opportunity I gave myself the 40/150 mm F4 pro, and I was immediately enchanted by the high quality of the images it returns. I use this lens with my Olympus OM-D 5 MII, which makes the camera well balanced. (I tested my car with the 12/100 f4 of a Friend, and I felt the car unbalanced forward, which I do not perceive with this lens). I read various reviews that preferred that OM System, produced it duplicable, but it would have conflicted with the older sister 40/150 f2.8, so drop in sales of that lens, already lose many estimators because this lens weighs much less and what in my opinion is a very advantageous fact. Who will evaluate the purchase of the 40/150 f2.8 or the 40/150mm f4, will evaluate the difference in cost and weight. I can say that I am fully satisfied with this perspective, in everything is for everything. A praise to OM System, for the choice of care yet another 40/150 mm lens, which satisfies everyone who wants to save money and those who want an excellent yield, all at a reasonable price when compared to the quality is at the focal length 80/300 if compared to FF. sent on June 11, 2023 |
![]() | OM System M.Zuiko Digital ED 20mm f/1.4 PRO Pros: build quality, tropicalization, weight. Cons: For now, none. Opinion: I bought, the 20 mm f1.4 lens used, to replace my 17 mm f1.8, because I wanted a tropicalized all-rounder lens. The 20 mm in fact compared to an FF format corresponds to a 40 mm, thanks to the atypical format, it is placed among the most used lenses such as 35 mm and 50 mm in FF format, so thanks to its field of view of 40 mm in FF format, it is an all-rounder lens that allows you to make excellent portraits and landscapes with a single Pro optic. Already from the first shots, you can see the huge difference in image quality, compared with the 17 mm f1.8, in addition to a greater sharpness, returns excellent colors and a nice blurred effect. I use the 20 mmf1.4 lens paired with my Olympus OM-D 5 MIII. sent on May 23, 2023 |
