![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 Pro Pros: Quality, compactness, lightness Cons: Nothing Opinion: Purchased in kit with an M5 mark III. It covers almost all photo situations, weighs little and is convenient to carry around. Of course F4 as a maximum aperture is a bit high, but how many photos are taken at full opening. Portraits, I don't make many and anyway I'm thinking of buying at about 20 euros an adapter that allows me to use an old one at full opening (!) F.Zuiko 50 f1.8. Let's not forget that it focuss at 12 cm, it is not a macro but allows you to take great photos at close range. Great purchase. sent on November 07, 2020 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M5 III Pros: Quality, compactness, transportability. Cons: Plastic ignition lever. Nothing else. Opinion: Already a holder of an Olympus kit for about 35-40 years (OM1, OM2, various optics including the 21mm F/2, the small XA) I bought for about a month the M5 mark III combined with a 12-45 F4 PRO. The line is beautiful, it is very reminiscent of my OM1 and 2. A little too much plastic for my taste (the ignition lever is a lot out of the metal controls), more could be done on a machine body that costs more than 1000 euros. But the photos are of remarkable quality. After a first release I had the opportunity to view them on a 75" 4K TV monitor: beautiful for colors, contrast, resolution, sharpness. Obviously how you go up with ISOs the noise is noticed, but up to 6400 does not bother much and the details are very well seen. Then, going up again you notice. However, nothing to do with the photos taken with the previous Sony Alpha 100 (Sony's first SLR) purchased, if I remember correctly in 2006, with the noise already evident at 200 ISO. I notice no difference with other machines with APS-C sensors from my friends. Certainly with the FF it loses something, but what is the point of carrying expensive equipment that weighs several kilos to have a little less noise at high ISOs? Then stabilization. For someone like me who uses flash only in macros and who to avoid moving resorts to easel and monopid. It's something fantastic. In short, what more do you want to go around and take beautiful photos? sent on November 06, 2020 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4-5.6 R Pros: Cons: Nothing, given the cost Opinion: Bought new for 78 euros (miracle of a White box) he takes more than good photos. Not very bright, but with olympus bodies stabilized the move does not create many problems. Of course it makes an impression to hold something that looks like a plastic toy, but the results are impressive in relation to the price, nothing to envy to a 70-300 of my previous Sony kit paid about 10 times more. With little money I (at the moment) completed my newly purchased kit: M5 mark III with the 12-45 f4 pro (what optics). Even at full price you can not miss in an Olympus kit. sent on October 29, 2020 |
