![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 300mm f/4 IS Pro Pros: Sharpness, easy handling, autofocus, overall quality, colors, contrast. Cons: Bokeh in certain situations, but it's not that relevant. Opinion: It is my first fixed super-telephoto and from the first field test you can perceive the extreme general quality, the extraordinary sharpness (already looking into the viewfinder of the camera) and responsiveness. It is addictive, exceptional results. I was worried about having less versatility being a fixed lens but every time I bring it with me some satisfactory/excellent results I bring it home, and I would never go back to 100/400. sent on February 03, 2025 |
![]() | Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD Pros: Sharpness, versatility, lightness. Cons: The button to lock the zoom to 70mm is missing, not stabilized. Opinion: It is a lightweight lens, essential if you want to carry around little weight (with the A7C 1 kg total). Excellent for the landscape, pleasant blurred. If you walk with the camera around your neck the zoom extends by force of gravity, the lock button would have been comfortable. However, for that weight I can not complain about anything. sent on May 22, 2023 |
![]() | Voigtlander E 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical Nokton SE Pros: Sharpness at more closed apertures, colors, construction, bokeh. Low sharpness at full aperture that can be useful on some occasions. Cons: Low sharpness and chromatic aberrations at full aperture. Opinion: In love with this lens. At full aperture it allows me to make very "soft" portraits, accompanied by a beautiful bokeh. At more closed apertures for me it is stratospheric, I can not take it out of the machine. Colors, contrast, sharpness, very nice star effect. Very solid construction. Easy manual focusing thanks to automatic magnification in the viewfinder as soon as you turn the ring. sent on October 16, 2022 |
![]() | Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN C Pros: Sharpness, versatility, build quality. Cons: Nothing Opinion: One of my favorite lenses, many of my best photos I took with this one. Lightweight, versatile, great for both landscapes and portraits. Solid, top build quality. Inevitable in my outings. The fact that at full aperture presents decrease in contrast, but I maintain an excellent blurred for me is definitely a merit, it gives a vintage touch to the photos. sent on July 29, 2022 |
![]() | Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 II Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, built well apart from the hood Cons: The worst hood I have ever handled, hard to find other obvious flaws at this price. Opinion: Purchased on the fly given the cost. Excellent sharpness and bokeh. Having it in my hand gives me the feeling of a high-quality lens. Fast and reliable autofocus. I only tried it on an exit to the park but the sensations were very positive. The various vignetting and distortion defects present at maximum openings are easily corrected in post-production. sent on October 08, 2021 |
![]() | Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN C Pros: Sharpness, openness, price, lightness Cons: They say the not perfect autofocus Opinion: Unbeatable value for money, a practical lens that offers many satisfactions, in different areas. Really a lens that knows how to give great satisfaction, the sharpness is remarkable. I sold it with regret, because I preferred to switch to a zoom lens, certainly more versatile, leaves a big void. Many of my favorite photos I took with this lens sent on May 21, 2021 |
![]() | Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RX D Pros: Sharpness, colors, stabilization, flare resistance, versatility, minimum focus distance. Cons: 17mm distortion and not excellent sharpness at 70mm, heavier than the body of the a6400 but getting used to it. Opinion: After a year of fixed focal points (Samyang 12 and Sigma 30 1.4) I wanted a more versatile lens that maintained an acceptable/high quality. I got to try it only indoor and currently I fell in love with it, versatile, the colors are warm and pleasant, you can take decent macro shots, and the convenience of having a lens all done without having to change it continuously is priceless, and it is cheaper than rival Sony 16-55. Stabilization another qualitative leap, for photos with little light. I took freehand at 70 mm with times of 1/20 getting quite sharp shots, huge advantage. sent on May 20, 2021 |

![]() | Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS Pros: Sharpness. General image quality. Cons: Price and footprint (although there are much more expensive goals, but I speak as a non-professional) Opinion: I'm not a professional in the industry. They gave me this lens that took the place of the 50-210 that I used on my a6000. A little scared by the weight (over 600 gr) but you get used to it, of course, the previous one was definitely more practical, but as a quality it is totally of another level. Remarkable sharpness, which allowed me to make high quality shots on the a6000, even at 350 mm of focal (for animals etc). I can't wait to test it on the a6400. Overall, I didn't see any weaknesses. sent on December 19, 2019 |
