I find it an excellent lens in relation to cost (watch out for price fluctuations, also important on emblazoned sites). What I don't like: with strong and direct light it suffers from a few too many flares; above 100mm ISO rises quickly because of the aperture F / 5 and, wide side, I would have liked to start from 50mm, but ... It would have been another lens. Would I buy it again? Undoubtedly. Rating 9-9,5.

Pros: good lens, light and powerful and great value for money

Pros: Lightness and bulkiness

Cons: Slow autofocus also on Sony (Nex 7), not very suitable for avifauna in flight. Sharpness at high focal lengths not as I expected reading the reviews

Pros: Sharpness stabilized compact light.... It's a G-series

Cons: For the price and catheters you can't complain so much about the brightness....

I've been using it for a very short time on Sony at6000 and I tried it with in-flight raptor shots, it proved fast the autofocus in good light . Quite compact and performing. Obviously in low light conditions try a little .... but I normally use it during the day and I couldn't ask for more....

Cons: A few flares and moiré effect at very high ISO on a6600

Opinion: Taken in place of the 55-210, the lens is well built and exceptionally compact when compared with the new SIGMA 100-400mm with which it does not disfigure at all, but rather... The AF on a6600 is very responsive and accurate, the images are surprisingly sharp. Some flare effects in certain situations and a certain moirè effect, at very high iso have been found. For the rest a surprising lens, with AF/MF keys, On/OF Stabilizer and the programmable G key on the barrel that allow a light setup freeing the other programmable keys of the body. The stabilizer works very well, I managed to take freehand a photo of THURSDAY at 350mm with a time of 1/15s in which it was possible to solve the 4 Galilean satellites with a relatively firm image. I had also tried the Sigma 100-400mm, but on APS-C there is no history for usability (it weighs almost twice as much as it has a much more generous size) and for the quality shown on all comparable focal points.
