![]() | Samyang AF 45mm f/1.8 FE Pros: Global Yield, Weight and Size and Cost Cons: Few... DMF, Lampshed and Materials Opinion: I come from M43, where the 25(50mm on FF) focal was my favorite... moving on to FF I looked for something that could give me the same sensations as surrender but above all as weight / size! I looked a little, discarding all the monsters f1,4 Sigma, Samyoung and Sony because despite having switched to FF, the Compactness of the kit for me remains an indispensable prerogative ... then the choice and Fallout either on the Zeiss 55 (which I would like to try) or on qs Sammy, for the price difference I took the Sammy! In hand it is more or less like a 25mm for M43, very light and small... of course the Materials are not the Maximum, plastic and little else ... not to mention the lampsho at the edge of ridicule, but I care little about the important thing is the surrender ... well after almost a year of use, I can only speak well of qs 45 "proletarian"! Excellent yield even at 1.8, very sharp and contrasted... on M43 I used Pana 25 1.4 and Oly 25 1.8 Sigma 30 1.4 all SUPER very sharp already from TA (clearly we talk about an f2.8 and 3.6mm on FF)... well on the same diaphragm I did not notice differences, but I repeat already from TA the lens has a spectacular yield ... I'm going to recommend it for super generic use... you really do everything, portraits, streets, landscapes, and with excellent results... clearly I would be curious to try the Zeiss 55, but given the difference in cost I don't think it is the most valid double/triple... sent on March 06, 2021 |
![]() | Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN C Pros: Global yield, build quality, weight, size, costs... Cons: Nobody Opinion: I can say that with this I tried all the mid-wings of the M43 panorama, including the Nocricron and the 45 1.2! The last before this was the 45 1.2, of which you can not say that well, but costs is clutter are really at the limit... pushed by a friend I decided, and I tried qs 56...Well guys, impressed, made equivalent to 45! Even the detachment and blurring, thanks to the slightly longer focus, are equivalent... Indeed, well, the global yield may well be a superior hair, but let's just say that they are the same as... At the end of the day, the average mile is for M43! I keep out of this "race" two optics: the Nocticron that for me remains the only one that has a truly "his" yield, the 56 comes very close to him, but the shots at TA in the Nocricron in my opinion have no equal nep panorama M43. And the 75, which is definitely longer than the optics examined, has a yield very similar to the 56 (indeed perhaps a hair better than 56) but the focal length places it in a different category, and with different uses... it remains an exceptional optic, which integrates perfectly with all the mediums mentioned above. In conclusion, considering: performance, clutter and costs qs 56 blows up the bench, the first option average them in the M43 panorama! sent on September 14, 2019 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro Pros: Everything, perfect optics, with the good iesof the excellent MDF of 70 cm, which with the MC 14 still decreases... Cons: a little big and heavy for the M43 proposal, in certain blurry situations a nervous hair Opinion: I took this amazing optics with a lot of hesitation, I switched to the M43 especially for the small footprints... and here we say that we are at the limit! My first choice for the Telezoom M43 fell on Pana 35 100 2.8, spectacular, did not make me regret at all the 70 200 Nikkor from which I came! The 40 150 seemed too big and heavy, but then I started to hear opinions, look at shots and attracted by the spectacular reduced United yield DMF (very comfortable for my Close Ups) I decided to try it! Well guys a show, my favorite optics, and I'm not just talking about the M43... it's pretty much perfect with a spectacular TA yield (common to almost all M43 lenses) THE treat is the use as a Close UP optic, wrapped when I do shooting sessions with 40 150 and 60 macro, if I do not look at the metadata I do not understand if I took the photo with one or the other! Impressive.... Even the use for views is spectacular, sharpened impressed, thanks to the Stabilization Oly, practically the easel is almost no longer used. It is also great for portrait, even if wrapped has a fuzzy nervous hair, if one takes it for that the 35 100 pana maybe it's a better hair! It doesn't bother me, since I do the portraits with Sigma 56 and with the 75... In conclusion, it is a recommended optics, an optic that is worth the whole system! Wrapped I try to make comparisons with the other systems, but on the 40 150 I always block... there's not any for any! p.s. last update, now with MC 20 you get to 600mm equivalent.... Amazing! sent on September 13, 2019 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M1 II Pros: Compactness, ergonomics, battery life, speed, menu completeness (although a bit messy), build quality, great system size compromise/image quality Cons: AF not at the level of the latest competitors, Sensor... Opinion: After using Nikon FF for years (D700 and D610) I came across an Em5mk2 and fell in love with the M43! Slowly I sold all the Nikon kit and I went totally to the M43, I had so many bodies and dozens of optics, and I can say that the Em1mk2 is the best M43 ever! I've never tried the G9 and I keep out the Em1x... but I think even feeling my feeling stays the same... It's an exceptional machine, ready responsive, with the battery that really lasts an infinity... the controls are perfect, all in their place and the dials are spectacular... The dimensions are perfect, nor too small as the Em10/Em5 and too big as the old reflexes... Perfect! The yield is the best of all the machines I have tried to date (em5mk2, em10mk2, g80, gx9, gx7, Pen F) the sensor holds up to 6400 iso and the recoveries are great! The AF is great, very responsive and fast in both afc and afs, the Traking works well, the eye facial recognition is not bad, although that Pana is another level... In my opinion, considering the release date, the car is perfect... certainly today in 2019, with the latest releases of Sony and Fuji, it takes Olympus to give a jolt to two fundamental factors: the AF that must absolutely improve especially in eye/face recognition, and the sensor! The sensor of the M43 we know is not and will never be an FF, but it takes the next generation to take a decisive step forward, as made to high ISO and Dynamic Range! I repeat, I am not asking for a level of the A7III, but I would like to see a decisive leap forward, not the very small improvements that we propose every time... if they can play the game well the M43 can have its say for many years, otherwise I see it hard... the competition is now fierce... sent on September 13, 2019 |
![]() | Sigma SD Quattro Pros: File, Raw directly in BN, robustness, intuitive use, not exaggerated price.... Cons: Slowness, improbable AF, weight and clutter, zero functionalwill additional, heavy and bulky optics, difficult availability for both the used and the new... raw files managed only by the owner SW, which is not that great.... Indeed. Opinion: I am a user of M43, and eager for novelty I decided to try qs Machine that so new is not... At first I was scared, it seemed huge (compared to my M43) and very heavy, then the heaviness fell back to normal, but the stain is very cumbersome considering then that I used it with a 30mm... The menu is very simple and intuitive, in 20 minutes (without reading any manual) you master the medium perfectly, all this intuitiveness at the end you pay in extreme poverty at the level of settings and customizations... but the real sore notes I found in the AF and in the general slowness of the machine, really impossible even for a machine of 2016! The AF is bad, the facial recognition is unusable and the AF points are only 9, all this made me return to the good and old recomposition to be able to get something decent.... all this combined with the fact that it is a machine practically nowhere to be found, both on the new and on the used... last sore note the management of raw files(3xf) that are read only by the Sigma Software, which for a years-old Lightroom is truly impossible... probably with a frequent use everything improves, but at first impact you are baffled.... But all this is mitigated when you go home and open the files on your computer, show.... The files are beautiful, especially the RAW directly in BN: fabulous! To get the same results with FF and M43 I have to make minimal one step in Lr and one with SilverEfex, here download the File and it is already ready... Finished! Beautiful... even in colors are very beautiful and the Wb is really great... all this as long as you do not exceed 800iso (at least with color)! In conclusion, in my opinion it is a machine that requires several compromises, if one is willing to accept them all, the results will not disappoint him, otherwise better to move on! It's a shame, however, that qs sensor is not developed properly, in my opinion with a couple of extra stops of iso sensitivity and a machine body adapted to the current ML, could really be the ultimate camera.... I dream of seeing a Simil-Foveon as the next M43 sensor... Meanwhile we wait for the next Foveon FF even if for costs and clutter will not be available to everyone... greetings Stephen! sent on September 13, 2019 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 II ASPH Pros: Compactness, quality price! Cons: AF Nos lightning speciamente you Oly bodies Opinion: Bought very recently on the recommendation of an enthusiastic friend of optical qs, I'm very happy! A must in the world M4 / 3 .... tiny, bright, cheap, and crystal clear already at room temperature (say the old man is sharper ... qs it is safe), all the features that an optical M4 / 3 should have! I took it instead of PanaLeica, too big and a little too long for generic use! For now it can only cosigliarlo ... even the focal length is great for people like me nn loves very wide angles (already with 28 of FF I am wrong) could be the panacea for all ills ... Updates will follow .. . sent on March 25, 2016 |
![]() | Nikon 105mm f/2.5 Ai-S Pros: construction, optical quality absolute comfort in specialmodoro hood integrated ... Cons: It for anyone, MAF manual excluded ... Opinion: What, rndopo have had and resold the Sigma 105 macro and took 85 1,4g, I realized that I was missing lunchezza focal 105! RnAllora after evaluating all the 100/105 in trade I decided to dare (also convinced by Cost really excellent) with qs historical lens! RNLA first impression is excellent, as all the old optical cortruite with parameters now abandoned, all metal, very solid and surprise, rnil built-in hood, amazingly comfortable !!! rnAlla practice test is astonishing open for portraiture is the top but also as lens pesaggio nn be underestimated! rnPer me, having started taking pictures with digital and then with the autofocus, the MAF manual is a bit difficult (I hope soon abiturmi) especially Ta or close to it, but when he gets the exact MAF is a real lust .... if you want to take pictures of children (as in my case) is recommended a massive dose ddi drugs or wait until you get sick;); ) .... chiaremente joke, nnYou never know;) sent on April 27, 2015 |
