![]() | Canon EOS R Pros: Iconic: the first R that defines a new CANON standard Cons: At today's prices nothing Opinion: The Canon EOS R is a camera that marked Canon's entry into this segment, it was a bet that CANON could not miss and recent history is proving it right. A project that starts from the RF lenses and its new mount that is able to transmit much more data to the camera than EF systems. In 2018 Canon decided to use the most advanced FF processor it had available without "risking" a dedicated sensor, the choice was to maintain at least one fixed point. This specificity means that the R is defined as a "hybrid" machine of transition between the REFLEX and MIRROLESS systems. For some, this is a limit that defines the R as an unfinished one. For me, however, after trying it I can say that you find yourself in your hands a little jewel, a splendid creature that mounts the sensor of the emblazoned 30 mb dual pixel 5DmkIV with a DIGIC 8 processor, so much quality. Super defined, three-dimensional and balanced files, amazing performance with RF STM lenses with the 35 1.8 in particular. Amazing that it manages to manage the EF L series and compatible with adapter, improving them in everything, incredible. I don't want to make comparisons with hyper PRO series such as R1 and R3, excluding these among all that remains in the CANON house, I believe that the R is overall second only to the R5 which, however, costs more than double. Among the criticisms of the R emerges a negative judgment on its use for sports or birdlife photos due to a "slow" gust. 8FPS is still a lot of stuff and for me, used to looking for the single shot, more than enough for sports and birdlife. Personally I shot in both contexts mounting a 100 - 400 EF L with adapter and did practically nothing wrong. I filmed the special World Cup slalom in Kitzbuhel under the snow mixed with rain and I was satisfied with the photographic quality that I found at home using a maximum of 4 shots in sequence per frame. If you need to systematically go further, in my opinion you leave the field of photography to enter that of video. All this said, if you are looking for a MIRRORLESS at CANON and you don't want to make a mute, the R will not disappoint you in anything. However, they remain owners of the first of a new series and the first ones you know always have something special. Have fun. sent on February 22, 2025 |
![]() | Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Pros: Defined, lightweight, wide focal range. Also excellent at full opening. Good stabilization. Cons: Nothing Opinion: Canon has really put effort into the creation of this lens to find the best compromise between quality, price, weight, size and in this it has succeeded very well. It is the classic zoom to have in your camera backpack, to use when we are not very busy looking for the perfect shot and we are thinking more about enjoying the day, the place and / or the people who are with us. It is not a bright lens, it could not be for what it costs but it can also be used with low light by raising the ISO, at 12,800 the file is still usable. The EOS R System is a big step forward. You can find it used just over 300 euros, difficult to have so much at this price. sent on February 18, 2025 |
![]() | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM Pros: Versatile, crisp and very practical Cons: Nothing at today's prices Opinion: Interesting focal, clutch pump zoom that allows very fast camera changes. It has two levels of stabilization I still prefer to raise the time and the iso. With the 1Ds and 7D mk1 returns excellent files to all apertures and focals. If you find it used put well take it, it almost always replaces the 70 - 200. Its small size for the focals it covers make it a great travel canvas. Paired with a basic zoom you have the complete kit in a FF. If you mount it on 7D you multiply X 1.6 you can go hunting. Target of 10 in 2020 sent on October 07, 2020 |
![]() | Canon 1Ds Mark II Pros: Series 1 Canon in its own right. A return to the origins of photography. Essential but more than sufficient automations. Great substance inside repaid with the RAW you'll see later in your PC. Cons: No one taking into account the year of construction must know first what you find. Opinion: Vintage sensor and processor deliver "almost" analog files. Landscapes, complexions, street, with natural colors. Outstanding in mid-tones. Ergonomic with PRO setting system, in a few minutes you learn then becomes intuitive. Complicated screen management but back then it was already a lot. When you start taking your hand, you only use the monitor to control the shot you just took, otherwise you know you'll still find a better file than you see. Anyone who approaches with passion and dedication to photography should pass a test with this machine, everything else will be easier, not necessarily better. sent on September 01, 2019 |
![]() | Canon 7D Pros: The only real professional in APSC format. Great machine. Cons: No one, not even the age that is indeed a value for you to find it at 300 euros put still well. Opinion: Use is I used series 1, series 5 and, on apsc, before the 7D a 60D. At today's price, the 7D is perfection. Professional machine you can do anything you want. If you work with canvases it becomes essential. I also used it with the 24 stm pancake and also in the landscapes says its. Read: "Give the best of itself with L-series canon optics", as well as being an obvious applies to any Canon reflex. If you find it used, buy it without delay whatever the optics in your possession. You won't be disappointed. Camera from 10! sent on August 30, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Brightness, sharpness, value for money Cons: I found none Opinion: Surprise, gave a new life to my 60D that the transition to the FF was hanging on a nail. The combination between the body of the average 60D with this small lens leave you in the hands of made a compact. Performance overall result, however, very good especially if you want to travel light but do not give to photograph almost everything and in all conditions at home bringing RAW that will not disappoint you. I did some tests with the housewives 20mm F2.8 which costs three times but that does not hold them for sharpness it for distortion in particular to 2.8. If you want to make the machi is not the lens for you but if you want to play it safe with no thoughts prendetelo.rn sent on July 30, 2016 |
![]() | Canon 60D Pros: Excellent value for money. Sensor as the 7D autofocus as the 5D MkII Cons: At this price range no Opinion: At a price around 800 € (body only) will take home a APS-C good quality. easy and intuitive with many functions. With the money you save compared to the 7D take a matter of good quality and enjoy. Wagon throwing money on the machine does not make much sense today, however, within 6 to 12 months have since passed through technologically superior models. sent on October 05, 2012 |
