![]() | Nikon AF-S 28mm f/1.8 G Pros: Lightweight, bright autofocus great on Nikon Z, price Cons: nobody Opinion: the 28 mm is my favorite focal length, and I find this version an excellent compromise between quality, weight and price, waiting for Nikon to produce a 28 mm of a higher level than the current 2.8. I have used it both on Z6I and II, D610, and in film on F5 and it works very well with all systems (and that's no small thing!). I'm not talking about microcontrast, hyperdetail and chromatic aberrations, just one click is enough to fix everything in post. But the real plus of this lens in my opinion is the rendering of colors in any light condition, the three-dimensionality is really high it has a very nice cinematic bokeh for a wide angle. Even in low light in the shadows it is excellent, it records everything. I have used it a lot in reportage, it is an excellent all-rounder, for quality, price and weight ratio 10. sent on November 04, 2024 |
![]() | Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG HSM Pros: Economical, interesting focal range, can also be used on film cameras Cons: does not work on Nikon Z Opinion: This lens is 20 years old and when you look in the used you have to keep in mind a few things, it is an old lens, and super wide angle if it has taken shots can have problems are delicate, just a micro shift of a lens and it's a mess. It is as soft as all the lenses of 20 years ago. It's a 12mm on FF you have to know how to use a super wide angle is easy to have flares, and know how to use flares. It is not very bright but you know but I use it for interior photos with the tripod, or freehand cityscape is more than enough. It must absolutely be tried before buying (like all the lenses used after all) if it has problems you can see immediately that is at 12 mm the corners are out of focus I tried several before finding the right one I can understand who was disappointed, but the lenses must also be checked in the physical store just take 2 shots and you understand if it works or not. The use on Nikon D600 with 24mpx is great, and on Nikon F5 film is perfect. The autofocus is fast enough. For 3 years it has been giving me a lot of satisfaction. Unfortunately it does not work on system Z. To whom I recommend it: to those who want a super wide angle without spending a capital and also the weight is contained 600 gr. sent on July 18, 2023 |
![]() | Nikon F5 Pros: Absolutely current and performing, it is not afraid of current digital Cons: Not having it Opinion: Last Nikon Super Pro film, yes there is also the F6 ... But the F5 has another charm and similar performance, plus it's a tank. The advantages of this camera in 2023 are still many: 1) it is fast despite its 27 years makes many new MLs pale. 2) Possibility to mount optics is infinite as long as it has the F mount only excluding the latest optics " E " with the electronic control of the diaphragm everything else works very well even the VR, and all third-party optics. 3) Autofocus with "only" 5 points, but it is a sniper does not make mistakes unlike more modern cameras (unfortunately). 4) the viewfinder is spectacular at the highest levels is a work of art, accustomed with ML ... Looking in here is an experience. It continues to be a high-performance camera I recommend it to everyone, and returning to photograph on film is priceless is a unique experience is pure photography, without the menate of megapixels hypersuper autofocus that do what they want etc. I use it for a year and every time is a pleasure. Many are rediscovering it and in a year prices have almost doubled ...... Vote 10 sent on July 04, 2023 |
![]() | Nikon AF-P DX 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Pros: Best value for money, very sharp and very light stabilized Excellent on Z50. Cons: not having it Opinion: Used on Nikon Z50 with FTZ, it has incredible value for money and size and weight. The fact of being in resin on such a point of view I see it as an advantage: the weight in the bag is not felt. The files with the z50 are excellent and very sharp from decidedly superior optics, I also had the very expensive 10-24 Dx there is no difference the 10-20 from its is less bright ... but it is stabilized very well. For skeptics consult the tests of Ken Rockwell: https://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/10-20mm.htm Straconsigliato on z50 with FTZ (waiting for a native optic z) excellent focus, also works the eye detect, for such an optics for 350 euros, 230 gr around I do not think there is better in any brand vote 10! sent on April 29, 2022 |
![]() | Nikon AF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 D Pros: Price in the second-hand market, focal range, excellent colors, weight and macro function, very little diffraction with closed diaphrammo Cons: None, it's an AF-D is from 1999 and it would be stupid to make comparisons with current optics Opinion: ....you can define the Swiss army knife of Nikon's all-round lenses. It does everything and also well given the age of the project. I have been using it since 2000 with the D1, now I continue to use it on the D600, and in manual focus on the Z. An absolutely not famous and noble optics, but those who know it and have understood its potential keep it tight. Until recently it was just a few euros away... now it is a little more expensive. Compact, light, excellent focal range, from 50mm to 105 macro, (not comparable to a real Nikon Micro, but its job does it well). It is a 20-year optics, the auto focus is not a missile (but it is precise, after verification and calibration in the Machine) it clearly does not have the sharpness of the new Z, but it has its own character, a good three-dimensionality and a blurred of other times, very soft and cinematic. One of its greatest merits, (I used it a lot in the studio for stil life and ADV) almost does not suffer from diffraction, excellent at f22. I recommend it to everyone, given what it costs and what it offers ..... as long as you want to understand it, and do not think you have the performance of hyper sharpness and super contrast of today's lenses. ![]() | Nikon Z50 Pros: Exceptional in many respects, latest generation processor held high iso incredible for an Apsc, beautiful and very workable files both in the lights and shadows, Face/Eye Detection possibility to use all the infinite optical park of Nikon with ftz Cons: ... don't have it, ... maybe some native optics dedicated to both Nikon and third parties Opinion: I think it's the best APSC on the market as value for money, and perhaps the least capita camera in Nikon's history. Many have not tried it and speak badly about it, it is compared to an entry level, but this is absolutely not the case. I have been using it for one year for work alongside the Z6, D750, D600 and D7200. It is a machine that if you come from the world of dsrl must be studied and happens, it has incredible possibilities churns out files higher than all nikon DSRL apsc, including the D500. It keeps isos as well as a FF reflex. the Video Compartment is really great look on the Tube and see what it can do. It has eye detect, with focus peaking you can easily use the old Nikon Ais and have a surgical focus. The 2 optics of the Kit even if they are made of plastic have an impressive quality. The high quality of the sensor coupled to the new processor allows with the new features of Camera RAW "Super Resolution" to get a file of more than 80 MB! In conclusion a machine body that I recommend to everyone to the Pros and enthusiasts is very light tropicalized and above all very robust I fall several times without reporting any damage. vote 10 sent on March 11, 2021 |
![]() | Nikon D600 Pros: Used value for money, file quality sometimes higher than some current cameras Cons: Don't have it in your bag Opinion: Nikonista for 38 years..... I think I've had and tried everything from analog, digital SLLRs to Mirrorles all at Nikon's house. But the Nikon D600 has remained in my heart I think perhaps among the best SLRs churned out by Nikon. Many complain, but find me a camera from 8 years ago that has this value for money (of the used) you have at your disposal an infinite optical park works everything at very affordable prices! A pure photo reflex suitable for everyone, including professionals still in 2020, does not have the autofocus and buffer and live View of the Z6, D500 etc... but if you need a better performing body there are other rooms, it is useless to criticize this. The tall Iso holds them very well, if you are a little awake in the post (with RAW Room or Lightroom) you can easily exceed 6400 without much trouble. Used with Nikkor G 1.8 lenses, it churns out spectacular files that are still perfectly current today, perfect in the wedding and for years that I have been using it together with many other professionals without problems. I recommend it especially to those who need a second level body without fainting, or for those who start instead of overpaying entry level of dubious quality with useless gadgets. With this you start great and maybe you also start learning to photograph. sent on October 22, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 G ED Pros: Great shooting angle ratio, brightness and weight excellent colors Cons: ... maybe the price but you know the nikon optics the nice ones even if DX doesn't cost cheap Opinion: I've been using it for 8 years on D3200,D7000,D7200 and now on Z50 with FTZ I still find it a great optics, for interiors, landscapes, reportage and especially for travel. I have read bad reviews about this optics, sincerely I feel great, I often use it for Work without problems. The files can work very well. In the wedding services it is a great everything to do, and also in the video. Mine has a metal bayonet, maybe it looks a bit plastic but I've been working on it for 8 years and it's okay it doesn't lose the pieces like other third-party optics or cheaper nikon models. The price for some is high but it is not an entry level, for me it is more for a Pro market than for the Consumer market. Just get to know it and it will always be in your bag. sent on July 22, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4 E ED VR Pros: Very fast and perfect Autofocus, excellent engraving and colors and three-dimensionality, a loyal companion! Cons: none, It is a optics for professionals the high price is adequate to the Performance. Opinion: Tested with the d7200, compared with the younger brother 16-85 that I use for years for work every day, the 16-80 is another planet, it is the optics that saves the Professional. It's a vision that makes you take your job Home. I read plague and horns on this lens, I tested it thoroughly and I realized that those who criticize... maybe do another job. The 16 -80 is a professional goal, and only those who use it for work can understand the very high quality of this optics. The price is to a professional optics, even if it looks like a plasticone... With this optics (in my Opinion) Nikon a brought the DX format to levels of the FX. Just look and compare the files...;) sent on October 07, 2018 |
