![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M5 III Pros: Lightweight, excellent sensor, super customizable, excellent ergonomics. Cons: Batteries a bit scarce... Opinion: I replaced my "old" OM-D E-M5 II with this one, without finding any major changes (a few buttons moved, but in principle little or nothing). I liked the larger sensor, it works very well with my 12-100. Small and handy, it fits very well in the hand. I'm really satisfied: the only flaw (shared with the old one) are the batteries that could last longer. sent on April 15, 2025 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II Pros: Lightweight and remarkable focal range, useful for "monooptic" outings, without bags in tow. Cons: Not very sharp over 100 mm, usable, in my opinion, up to 120mm at most (maybe it depends on the sample in my possession, but from 120 upwards just so as not to miss the shot...) Opinion: Had on my OM5 II, discreet optics, practical and quite light. Wearing the camera around my neck the lens tends to stretch downwards, although perhaps a defect of my sample. Always perhaps linked to my specimen ... unusable over 100-120 mm, so I replaced it with the 12-100... There is no comparison (not even of price :-O ) sent on November 25, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm f/4.0 IS Pro Pros: Focal range, sharpness, constant aperture, minimum focusing distance... Cons: Pesicchia... Opinion: I have it for a few days, these are first impressions, but very favorable. From wide angle to 100 mm with a turn of the ring, almost macro photos a few cm from the subject at 12 mm, wonderful blur at 100 all open or almost ... A fairy tale. It weighs a little, but I'll get used to it. I guess I won't take it out of the car so many times! Happy to have it, finally! sent on June 30, 2023 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm f/3.5 Macro Pros: Lightweight, sharp from the whole aperture, bright colors, economical Cons: Maybe lack hood... but is it needed? Opinion: I have it recently, I wait for spring to try it intensely. For now I am very satisfied with the purchase. Purchased used by RCE made me really good first impression with the exits looking for the first blooms. It seems to me more than adequate even for general use, although it is not too open. I reserve a more articulate opinion when I have used it a little more. sent on January 30, 2022 |
![]() | Olympus OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.4 Pros: Compactness, weight, aperture, sharpness, minimum focusing distance... Cons: For now not detected Opinion: My dream when I owned the OM2, never been able to buy given the price (and the money available, above all! ;-) ) Purchased now, used on OM-d 5 II, nothing to complain! Beautiful photos, great sharpness, Olympus colors. It made me feel the pleasure of shooting in manual again. Great for macro, practically a 100 mm that focuses at less than 40 cm! I'm really glad I bought it! sent on October 17, 2021 |
![]() | Super Ozeck 135mm f/2.8 Pros: Aperture, minimum focus distance (1 meter!), overall sharpness Cons: Weight (compared to modern optics...) Opinion: Purchased almost 40 years ago and used for a long time on an Olympus OM2, stored in a drawer at her departure and forgotten until today, when, grafted on an Om-d 5, she took a ride in the countryside. I was stunned by the ease of focusing, the overall sharpness of the photos, and the great overall impression of use. I seem to have paid him a 50-70 thousand lire, at the time, but I think I will hold on to him. Next test attached to the Kenko duplicator, also found in the above drawer! sent on October 09, 2021 |
![]() | Olympus 50mm f/1.8 OM F.Zuiko Pros: Value for money, optical quality Cons: Nothing as far as I paid him Opinion: Bought on a market in the early 1990s, paid 20 000 lre (!), to complete my bizarre Olympus OM2 kit (I had the 35mm and a 135mm, plus I used for the macro an amazing 58mm screw lens of my old Zenit. Excellent lens, bright and engraved. Given all the film kit about twenty years ago, I bought back an Olympus kit (this time OM1) with this extraordinary goal. Very fun to use it! sent on November 27, 2019 |
![]() | Olympus Zuiko 35mm f/2.8 Pros: Overall dimensions, weight, sharpness Cons: Nobody Opinion: He has been my faithful companion for many years. He fought 1000 battles ;-) used upside down for macro, on extension tubes, focal duplicator ... a real fighter. Excellent engraving, beautiful colors, a lot of nostalgia. He will have taken thousands of photos, both negatives and slides. It was practically the only serious optics I had. Used on an Olympus OM2n. sent on December 29, 2017 |
![]() | Sony HX400V Pros: Versatility, weight, focal length, great macro, fantastic HDR, ability to add standard accessories (filters, lampshade...) Cons: Autofocus not very fast, image quality with little light Opinion: I went from a Canon bridge to this one, bought used for 250 euros. Definitely not repentant. In fairness, I expected more from the Zeiss lenses: with not great light enlarged to 100% always give the impression of grainy. Anyway a nice all-in-one machine. Makes you forget the reflex at home! Given the price paid, there's really no complaining! I have to update: suddenly the machine, which worked well for about 3 years, purchased used, began to communicate the infamous e:62.10, with its malfunction of the stabilizer especially on the long focal... Nothing happened that could have caused the accident: it did not fall on me, it did not take too cold or too hot... Since it's the second Sony that plants me for no apparent reason. I replaced it with a Panasonic... and let's hope for good! sent on August 24, 2017 |
