Opinion: It is a lens that immediately captured me: at the moment I have used it mainly for photographs of flowers and nature. I really like its dreamlike, pictorial rendering and its bubble blur at full aperture begins to take on a very marked hexagonal shape already closing one stop. It has a minimum focusing distance of around 30 centimeters, so as to make it a lens suitable for very close shots. And it is here that in my opinion it gives its best and brings out all its particular character. Closing the diaphragm you gain sharpness, but compared to other vintage lenses (such as the Zeiss Tessar 50mm f2.8) it does not hold a candle either on microcontrast or on color rendering, becoming a lens that is not very versatile, despite the focal length of 50mm. Knowing its strengths, however, it becomes a lens with a nice character, to be used for targeted and particular situations.

Pros: Bokeh, price, color rendition ' vintage ' and excellent sharpness if closed

Cons: For the price paid no one

Opinion: Paid €28 + S.S. and only disassembled the lenses for a slight dust cleaning. All iron and glass as from customary years 60. Bought to see the famous blurry bubbles without any other pretensions, it amazed me how sharpness if closed already at F4. A F 1.8 poor sharpness that becomes indecent going to the corners (but who buys it to take that kind of photo knows that sharpness is not a problem). The bubbles effect depends very much on the distance between the subject and the light points in the background. Used on Sony A7II, it protrudes and weighs the right giving a good feeling in the use, it returns colors quite warm but not excessively. I recommend a lens hood to improve flare resistance and contrast with non-favorable light. Around €40 a whim to get through.
