Oleander Sphinx...

FALENE

Oleander Sphinx sent on August 02, 2018 (20:30) by Lucchin Fabrizio. 25 comments, 1326 views. [retina]

, 1/6 f/13.0, ISO 320, tripod. Specie: Daphnis nerii

Hello Fiorenzo, I thank you for the compliment, photographing the moths is not difficult since during the day if not the disturbances do not fly, the difficult is to reproduce the beautiful effect of the wings of this butterfly that are not scales as the daytime. Thank you and I wish you a good weekend, Hello Fabrizio

Hello Franco, I thank you for the compliment, to see it is almost impossible, I raised a Caterpillar Portatomi by a friend. If you have oleanders always look if you see leaves eaten, if you, look for the caterpillars. The butterfly is migratory and puts eggs down from us too. I wish you a pleasant evening, Hello Fabrizio

Hello Pier, see it is really difficult, I have photographed two, one because I called my expert friend and collector of butterflies, found the caterpillars on his oleanders and this because an acquaintance of my partner has always found the caterpillar in his oleander and , knowing that I photograph the butterflies, sent me photos and message if I wanted to, so I answered him and I bred him.
Always check if you see oleanders with leaves eaten, if you, look for the caterpillars and then breed them.
Thank you and I wish you a good evening, Hello Fabrizio

Hi Alfredo, I'm glad you liked it, for me it is interesting because you see the grandeur of the body, the big eyes and the wing profile of the ALA similar to that of an airplane. Thank you, Hello Fabrizio
