Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: Low weight, small size, low cost, decent Af Cons: Poor sharpness, low price but worth the cost, not enough micro contrast Opinion: Unlike all the other RF lenses I've tried, it's not optimized for full-aperture use (not even in the center) and you need to close down to f2.8 for acceptable sharpness in the center and f5.6 for corners. It reminds me of the sharpness of the 50mm ef 1.4 but worse. It also suffers from backlighting. On the other hand, the very small weight and the space occupied in the bag, practically zero. Nice manual focus ring that can be customized like other RF lenses. sent on January 04, 2024 |
Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM Pros: sharpness, stabilization, excellent Q/P ratio, good blur Cons: Af not very fast and vignetting accentuated at f2 Opinion: First optics taken to test the R system and I was not disappointed. Of course it is not comparable to an L-series lens and now I have replaced it with the rf 70-200 2.8 which is of another level. For the price it has a very good sharpness even at f2 (but suffers from a little too much vignetting), a pleasant blur and is also half macro. From a comparison made it is superior to the old 85mmf1.8 almost in everything except for the AF sent on April 29, 2023 |
Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Pros: portability and weight, full-aperture sharpness, quality blur, stabilization, lightning-fast AF Cons: the high price like all Rf L lenses Opinion: I have never had the opportunity to try the previous 70-200 EF 2.8 and so I can not make a comparison with them but I can say that this new lens is a jewel and allows you to replace a whole series of fixed in an excellent way: 85mm f1.8 or the new rf 85mm f2 + 100mm f2 + 135 L f2 + 200mm L f2.8. It has a very low weight for a 2.8 and a portability from "closed" that easily fits in any photographic backpack; Only the hood is in my opinion a bit bulky and could be replaced with that of the 50mm F1.2 which is always 77mm. The sharpness is excellent already at 2.8 and in particular at 200mm the blur is from fixed optics of the highest level. The stabilizer then does the rest and makes it usable even in low light conditions, the AF is lightning fast. If you do not have higher brightness needs (eg 85mm f1.2 or 135mm f1.8 or 200mm f2) it is the lens for you. sent on April 28, 2023 |
Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: Size, weight, flare resistance, beautiful starry, stabilization, sharpness, those 14mm Cons: the high price like all Rf L lenses Opinion: It is attached to the R6 as if it were glued and has no weak points to report. Compared to the 16-35 f4 is that I had in the past improves almost in all an already very good lens and in addition gives those 2mm wide side that are so much stuff. Also closed to f11-f16 has an excellent star effect on the light points "from fixed optical level". It is already sharp at f4 and touches its max at f8 where even at the corners it is gorgeous. For me the perfect travel wide angle sent on February 11, 2023 |
Panasonic Leica DG 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH OIS Pros: Solid construction, TA clarity, focal range, limited weight, very gentle blur. Cons: Stabilizer coupled with the g80 that I expected most efficient Opinion: It's the first zoom I bought for the g80 and the first absolute zoom for the m4 / 3.rnSolo system remained pleasantly impressed with its quality and since I've taken it has almost always been attached to the machine. With the 5dII + 24-105L combo I had before but less weight, less clutter, and a handful of mm the longer on the long side that never fails. 60nm f4 has a great bokeh and the minimum focusing distance allows Some interesting detail.rn The only minus is the stabilization combined with the g80 that allows you to shoot securely no more than 1/15 sec. And sincerely I was hoping for better sent on August 31, 2017 |
