Canon FD 135mm f/3.5 S.C. (II) Pros: Weight, cost, vintage (the charm of) Cons: Manual, vintage (the disadvantages of a dated focal point) Opinion: It is a focal point that I have fallen in love with since its purchase, back in 1983, and when I finally switched to digital the first purchase was an adapter to be able to return to use this gem. 135mm is the length congenial to me but the size and practicality of this lens means that every time I want to be light for a photographic sortie it is the focal point that I first put on the bag. Usage tips: between f3.5 and f5.6 you can take advantage of the (albeit minimal) vignetting; from f5.6 to f11 is where the maximum sharpness is obtained; after f11 I take advantage of the progressive softness (due to diffraction) sent on March 19, 2021 |
Zeiss Milvus 135mm f/2 Pros: Spectacular sharpness, unique contrast, perfect color rendition, three-dimensionality plane break Cons: Heavy weight, high price, MANUAL FOCUS ONLY Opinion: If manual focus is a problem do not continue reading otherwise know that this is a lens to fall in love with. Built entirely of metal, the mechanical movement of the focus to me provides an intense pleasure: constant in movement and the right resistance to reach exactly the desired focus. But it is in the image the point of force majeure: contrast, sharpness and color rendition are for me simply perfection sent on January 04, 2019 |
