Canon 6D Mark II Pros: Screen, battery life, ergonomics, solid in construction, not too heavy Cons: Dynamic range, not very "responsive" in viewing photos and navigating menus Opinion: I purchased the used 6d2 to enter the FF world. A nice jump starting from 50D. The impression was immediately very good, in particular I appreciated the posable screen and the construction. The keys are in place, so also satisfied with the ergonomics. I am not positively impressed with the dynamic range, referring to the files of the 5d4 we are on another level, in particular unsatisfactory shadows. Chapter AF, the points are "few" in absolute numbers, especially in this period when mirrorless are making room (with pros and cons, e.g. EVF). Therefore, as more than one user has written, it is not suitable for very dynamic situations, for landscape and portraiture I would say ok. I haven't thoroughly tested the video side, so I'm not going to go into that. In general a good "last" reflex churned out by Canon, I think is enough for a large slice of users, although there may be a temptation to buy the latest product placed on the market... I found an indispensable occasion, so I exchanged it for an R whose files are great and the autofocus is certainly superior too. Of the REFLEX for now I regret the feeling of the optical viewfinder, especially in situations of strong ambient light. sent on March 08, 2021 |
