sony_a7iiiSony A7 III

Pros: AF compartment, speed and coverage with 693 points, dynamic range, sharpness, file quality, quality/price ratio, 5 years warranty coverage also for accidental damage

Cons: None in qualitative terms; Only flaws the charger sold separately.

Opinion: I state that this is the first Sony body I purchase, and I wanted to choose just this product because its specifications were in line with my needs. The body of the A7 III, albeit contained in size and weight, is appreciated for the sturdiness and quality of the materials used. The ergonomics a little sacrificed especially for me, "I have big hands and I was still conscious of this", probably for those who come from a reflex this aspect can be a gap. Point of strength surely are the multiple buttons present, all programmable, that make easy the controls and access to the many functions of the machine. I found a little awkward the front bezel and I have difficulty moving it as it falls in the second phalanx of the index (probably my problem, I would have preferred it to be moved to the inside). Adjustable Monitor and touch screen, electronic viewfinder in the standard and in any case of quality, coming from reflex where they were not present, I consider them an appreciable upgrade. I believe that especially the monitor is appreciable for users who prefer landscapes and macros. I don't use the touch screen much but it's very useful in the video. The Core of this machine is really exceptional, the sensor returns quality files, has an excellent GD and an outstanding ISO seal, for a body that is considered by many to be entry-level, but I must say that it is not so at all. Analyzing the files I was impressed by the sharpness that is returned, also complicit in the AF system that is highly evolved compared to a reflex. My search for crisp files has finally found an answer, "Goodbye soft effect in photos". The only doubt that arose to me, compared to canon that I owned before, is the colour science, in fact the colors of the canon are more saturated and return a pleasant skin tone, the Sony has a neutral aspect, which in PP can be improved. I've got to check that there are systems on the network that allow you to simulate the canon colors on Sony. The AF is lightning-fast and accurate, even in low light conditions really a godsend and eye-AF recognition. I would say that these aspects could be greatly appreciated by portraits and matrimonialisti, as precision is surgical. Definitely two strengths tools, however the coverage with 693 points is no less. In the menu there are several adjustment parameters (which in other bodies of the same category is present in a small part). The menu as reported by different users is really a maze, but I would look at the positive aspects, ie the possibility and the amount of parameters adjustable, of course with My menu you can avoid the maze by programming the most used functions. The silent Shot (electronic curtain) is really appreciable even if in particular situations returns of the bands according to the Conditions of light (neon, artificial lights) and anyway there is always the shot with mechanical curtain, personally I appreciate Very sound of this. The gust is another strong point that for a body of this category is a remarkable step forward, just think that 6 years ago only professional bodies had this feature. I have to say that I don't use this function very much and anyway the evidence that I could make some mistake in focusing can happen with this mode. Video compartment also full of menus and aspects that I will have to verify. Personally I gave 10 to this body, as although there are some aspects that can be improved, "well come because this allows the evolution of machine bodies", I must say that the characteristics and the quality/price outclass every problem also the choice Commercial not to include the battery charger. My opinion I believe that Sony has made a targeted commercial choice, proposing an entry-level body with PRO features.

sony_fe85_f1-8Sony FE 85mm f/1.8

Pros: Sharpness, precise and fast AF, build quality

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Following the migration in Sony I was undecided which optics to buy, daring I wanted to experience this fixed and affordable price, having never owned an 85mm. I must say that never chance was ever better! Obviously I can not make other comparisons being the only optics I have however as first impression the build quality is remarkable and to the touch is a nice pleasure, weight content and well balanced with body ML. Exceptional the button on the barrel that allows you to execute programmable commands, of course in other brands this option is located exclusively on Elite D-lenses. L found it helpful and I really enjoyed his presence. Outstanding sharpness already at TA, I also deserve the AF system of SONY that really amazed me positively, closing the diaphragm further becomes very incisive, I honestly was not accustomed to all this sharpness (however sought!). My impression the AF speed is good even in unfavorable conditions of light, as I say is not based on a technical assessment. For the bokeh I must say that it is not bad, although the shape of the light points is almond (obviously for better results you have to spend much more). I gave 10 as a vote because quality/price for this lens are really top for an amateur photographer.

canon_5d3Canon 5D Mark III

Pros: AF fast and accurate, even good outliers, availability of high iso without much visible grain, however, be eliminated with little PP, ergonomics and convenience buttons, strength and sealing of the body.

Cons: SD card & Price

Opinion: I was very excited about this technological jewel, in all respects. It 'a great machine that can be defined handyman, because its characteristics are suitable for every photographic genre that also with a sporty however, we must be very careful to seize the moment, is in fact its 6fps in some cases are few. I use it as a second body and I can say it is the most uncomfortable this role, as it has really all the characteristics to be a prima donna! Improvements on AF and ISO are impressive and perhaps may be the only reason for a cost high. Among its advantages is the tropicalization, really good, brought to the track by Cross, the dust did not cause any problems. I recommend this body to all users who are looking for quality in their photos.

canon_24-70_v2Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM II

Pros: Sharpness, optical quality and construction

Cons: Distortion moderate price

Opinion: I took a few days and I must say this point I was immediately impressed by the build quality external materials are excellent and mounted on the camera body is a further confirmation, Af quiet and lightning. I think the real strength of this zoom lens is the sharpness and optical quality really amazing, already CT images are very sharp images with true color and contrast to the scene, the moderate distortion that has certainly passes in the background. Returns a definitely excellent bokeh that completes this light handyman. The only drawback the price certainly for the maniacs of perfection and the pros certainly will not be an obstacle. I think it is a perspective that should not be missing in a kit.

canon_70-200_f2-8_v2Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM

Pros: Sharpness, AF Speed, Quality, Reliability IS, Tropicalization

Cons: Weight

Opinion: Excellent zoom, reliable in all situations street, portrait, but especially in sport from the best, thanks to its speed and stability. A truly exceptional optical although the exorbitant price (for an amateur), but I have to say that it's worth it all the euro. Multipliers is a different matter, with 1.4 x II AF keeps a good speed, I'd still acceptable, taking with regard to the use sports photos, but lost a little sharpness. With 2 x III would say that you totally lose the concept of 'excellence in this light, the AF is slow and often difficult to engage the subject, sharpness loses further with unsatisfactory results. For those wanting a 400mm recommend a fixed lens, and in terms of speed and clarity is unmatched.
