Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Pros: One of the best zoom lenses on the market in terms of price-to-performance ratio. Cons: It's not quite a true 600mm at close distances, and focus breathing is more noticeable than I'd like. Opinion: I paid €1,250 for a brand-new copy and had the opportunity to choose from several samples, which was definitely worth it as there are noticeable differences between them. Excellent color rendition, fast autofocus, outstanding build quality, and very good performance with the 1.4x teleconverter. The reach this lens provides is incredible, but what impressed me the most is its unique combination of exceptional sharpness and surprisingly smooth, pleasing bokeh—something rarely seen in a zoom lens. Better than the Z 600mm f/6.3 in nearly every way, while being about 2.5 times less expensive. Over the last 5–6 years, I have tested this lens several times, and every single time it put a smile on my face. Sony Bulgaria worked hard to convince me to switch from Nikon, and in the end they succeeded. The combination of this lens and the A7 V finally won me over. sent on 10 Giugno 2026 |

Sony A7 V Pros: Еxcellent 33 MP sensor—the sweet spot in terms of resolution, great dynamic range Dual Gain Output (DGO) technology. Outstanding subject-tracking autofocus, pre-capture, 30 fps continuous shooting, and impressive battery life. Cons: Perhaps the buffer, but considering the class of the camera, it's more than adequate. The biggest drawbacks for me are the viewfinder, Sony's menu system, and the absolutely terrible firmware update process for both the camera and lenses. Opinion: Better than the Z8 for wildlife and sports photography. In my experience, the autofocus tracking is noticeably better and more reliable, especially when tracking birds and fast-moving subjects. Combined with 200-600 pre-capture, excellent battery life, and a lighter overall system, it simply suits my shooting style better. After 16 years with Nikon, no regrets :) sent on 10 Giugno 2026 |

Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM S Pros: The large focal range without converters. Build quality Cons: Weigh and cost. Overall performing is on average stage Opinion: For Nikon bodies the 200-500 is twice better and cheaper than the Sigma.... On the long edge (500mm) the Nikon perform better for me in a terms of sharp and contrast. 600mm on the Sigma vs 700mm on Nikon with TC 1.4 are comparable and very close to each other but with the Nikon you have additional100mm... One more positive point is that the Nikon is far more lighter that the Sigma... On the end I don't not recommend this lens in a terms of weigh, fast focusing and cost... sent on 14 Marzo 2018 |
