![]() | Pentax SMC M 50mm f/1.7 Pros: Lightweight and compact, all metal, low price compared to the great quality it offers Cons: It's just a little laborious to use, it's all manual. But you know when you buy it Opinion: Bought a month ago for a few euros a perfect copy arrived The rings are excellent, minimum distance of MaF of 45 cm, depth of field scale for hyperfocal (can be useful) for those interested go to Pentaxforum and will find only excellent reviews It is not a lens framed and shot, it must be used calmly and you have to take into account some photos to throw away, But for a few euros you can take home an excellent product from almost 50 years ago. Recommended for those who want to get nice blurry and have patience sent on May 23, 2024 |
![]() | Pentax M SMC 80-200mm f/4.5 Pros: very sharp from 5.6, very sturdy all metal like the old Pentax projects, constant max aperture at all focal lengths Cons: the minimum distance of MaF of 160 cm Opinion: Found in a flea market and taken a bit for fun, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Excellent maf ferrule makes a half turn and allows you to focus with precision It is an optic with which you need to have patience all manually. with Pentax you can use them only with the ring on M and press the green button to do the exposure reading and then in my opinion it is better to lower the shutter speed a little so as not to have the photo too clear Actually you can also use it in AV but the camera will always shoot at f4, 5 even if you close the apertures in this case, however, you can compensate for the exposure from the camera (so you don't need to press the green button) In short, for an acceptable price, using it on KP I have a 300 mm that at 5.6 gives razor-sharp photos (as long as you center the focus) sent on May 01, 2024 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 R LM OIS WR Pros: Very good at all focal lengths when used within the limits of the optics Cons: N.N. Opinion: I have my say... For its price it's a good lens. Like all zooms with great range, it has its limits and must be considered To get closer to landscapes, objects that do not have particular details is fine, to have a good sharpness the subject must not be too far away otherwise it will not be able to make it to its maximum, especially if it is used at its upper limit but this depends on the level of sharpness that each photographer requires, for some it will be fine, for others it will not The most demanding will have to spend more a greeting to all sent on February 05, 2024 |
![]() | Pentax HD FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited Pros: three-dimensionality, blurred, construction, lightness, dimensions Cons: some AC in strong contrast, for purists AF a bit noisy Opinion: I have owned it for about a month after having long wanted it, I took few photos in the field but many tests in the house and garden and I feel like doing a first analysis. The three-dimensionality is already good at f1.8 but at f4 it is excellent, the AF has always hooked well (static subjects), for the AC I deliberately tried to photograph in very strong contrast. These are my observations: a whole photo is not noticeable but enlarging a lot, appear at f1.8 and f2.5 and disappear at f4 for the blurred depends a lot on the background (this is already known) but above all from the distance from the subject. In my opinion you should not exceed 3/4 meters otherwise a little distorts the lens Use the aperture ring is not easy, you need to put the camera in M, the desired aperture and press the green button of the exposure reading, focus and then shoot, in short, a job. But it is the Limited impeccable construction, all aluminum also the integrated hood, the ring of the MF is a pleasure to use and then it is nice only to have, indeed I would not exaggerate but it is the most beautiful fixed (among the Japanese) on the market For now it is all a greeting to the Pentaxians and also not .... ![]() | Fujifilm X-E4 Pros: Compact, excellent for frequent use, adjustable LCD for me perfect, viewfinder presence Cons: Read below Opinion: I state that I am an amateur photographer and not a professional and I bought this camera for a not too specialized use and to have small dimensions. I noticed a really interesting shadow recovery, it has a few customizable keys but once you understand your photographic interests I think they are enough Now the sore point, frankly I do not understand how in 2021 a camera of such performance does not have the possibility to make bkt depth of field. One of my Reflex of a brand very mistreated already 6 years ago had this function and also that of shutter speeds. I find this lack unacceptable, especially since I tried to remove the lens from the camera body turn the aperture ring and no aperture opens or closes So it means that the movement of the diaphragm is controlled electronically so this function could be safely put even using lenses with the diaphragm ring I speak at least of the 27 sold in Kit (if I am wrong someone will correct me') Apart from this recommended camera A greeting sent on June 03, 2022 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix G X PZ 45-175mm f/4.0-5.6 ASPH OIS Pros: Minimal size and weight , stabilization, sharp already at full opening, zooming does not extend ,diameter filters from 46 Cons: for its price none(to be fussy a minimum distance of MaF a little high) Opinion: Bought used because I wanted a travel zoom to be flanked by the Oly 12 40 and I'm excited about it .high performance price ratio( inside it has a motorized zoom that is activated by a button on the barrel). I did some comparison tests with an even focal zoom (for apsc)but f 4 constant that weighs 5 times as much and costs triple and does not disfigure at all. It just loses a little bit on the blurring that is a little harder and on the detachment of the plans but really little. In my opinion, the quality of the photos is also almost identical, going from wide to canvas. it is not a handyman, it is missing from the wide-angle side, but maybe it is also why it maintains a very good image quality on all focal. It is stabilized and combined with the stabilization of the G9 I made test shots at 175mm and 1/10 on the back of books and the writing was perfectly readable without motion This lens is then of the X series which means more care on the part of Panasonic in the construction of barrels and lenses (so says Pan). The engine that drives the zoom is not felt at all, and zooming remains of the initial dimensions In conclusion for those looking for a 90 350 equivalent without wanting to faint will be satisfied. ![]() | Pentax SMC DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL WR Pros: Well done, tropicalized ,light, minimum MaF distance of 25 cm Cons: At 55 AF sometimes it's a mischief Opinion: I picked up this 18/55 after almost 10 years (purchased with the K7) and then put it in a drawer to use a Tamron 18/200 as everything do . Out of curiosity I took it back to use it a bit and it stunned me . Compared to Tamron there is no history, with others I do not. Only precaution if you use for close-up images ,portraits etc close a little the diaphragm the sharpness improves a lot (at 18 mm even at 5.6 ... rather raise the iso) A greeting to all Piero sent on April 05, 2019 |
![]() | Pentax KP Pros: Very Cons: little Opinion: I sold the K5II for the kp and I think I did well. I do not want to talk about the quality of the files, the sensor or anything else that is all easily available on various sites where they write much more competent people. I limit myself to describing the remarkable improvements that the pentax has introduced. From the bracketing side have been inserted both for the depth of field (the camera takes 3 photos at different openings so you can choose the most suitable) and the shutter speed ( they are always 3 frames with different times to get the best blur effect). Autofocus seems to have improved especially in the live view function where the tracking function of the subject seems to work well (provided you do not move the machine too quickly because you can lose it), the focus points have gone from 11 to 27 but according to me they cover the scene a little, only within the rectangle of the MF frame. The shutter speed with the electronic shutter reaches 1/24000 sec but con steps a little wide (1/8000, 1/12000, 1/16000, 1/24000) rnThere are then 3 dials, 2 classic SLR and one that performs the variations that can be set by a further wheel near the button shooting with different possibilities. The wifi function is then welcome, you can set from the phone all the parameters that we are interested in changing leaving the KP on a tripod, even the ability to touch the phone screen at a desired point and the machine does the autofocus and shoot (certainly not as immediate as with the shutter button). The screen is finally adjustable, as I like it in line with the machine. For me a flaw is that there is no possibility to use the remote control that I used on the small and light K5 certainly more practical than a phone, but you can use one with the wire that fits into the microphone (bought on the net one Chinese from € 11 that works well) rnVisto that the battery is declared for about 400 shots (definitely less than the K5) I took for 20euro Patona battery and in the package there is also the cable to recharge from the car cigarette lighter (can be useful). The HDR function that was unusable in K5 has now been significantly improved. There are 5 shooting possibilities, but in my opinion that called ADV turns out to be the most balanced, and you can vary the scissor from 1a2a3 EV of difference between the shots that then the KP processes. The results with the dedicated programs are much better but for those who want to approach this type of processing to begin is more than satisfenternIn conclusion I think a good product for the price you can hardly find better (tropicalized and stabilized sensor) Greetings to all rnPiero sent on April 06, 2018 |
![]() | Venus Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT Pros: Dimensions, weight, very good construction, minimum distance of MF Cons: Cost per gram high Opinion: At the moment it is the widest lens for M4 / 3 that accepts screw filters of only 46 cm and for those who take photos of the landscape the polarizer is sometimes mandatory. There is also the Panasonic 8/16 mm a tighter hair but it costs twice as much (I took it in a shop in Lombardy at 630 euros and at the moment on Amazon costs 200 more). Now with 600 grams the camera no longer weighs on the neck in the long mountain walks (first between SLR and Sigma 10/20 mm I had 1200) rnThe construction is very good all in aluminum even the small removable hood, the focus ring is sufficiently large and with good resistance, only the diaphragms is small attached to the machine and use a little inconvenient if you they have big hands. the diaphragms are 2 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16 22 snap (not continuous) and the sharpness from the center to the edges and already noticeable at f4. (I did a test at home photographing a bookshelf on the wall and the writing of the stereo on the left all the way down is perfectly legible) .rnStained in bubble all the vertical linesat the side of the frame are perfectly straight, obvious if you tilt the machine a little they widen or tighten but with Lightroom are easily corrected. The minimum distance of MF is only 12 cm with the possibility to make even almost macro photos, and it is only manual but shooting from f 5.6 and up is all clear.rnWhat if you look for the lightness and the possibility of mounting screw filters this Laowa is for you, there is the silver version that mounted on the Olympus EM5 silver makes the its figurarnIf I can be helpful with other news please feel free to contact me rnrnrn sent on January 29, 2018 |
![]() | Fujifilm X30 Pros: Aesthetics, quality jpeg images, excellent viewfinder, battery life Cons: few. only 3 images recorded in exposure bracketing, shutter 1/1000 max at full aperture Opinion: For me the best compromise between a real and a mirrorless compact. jpeg files are great and the editing program is downloadable Fuji completissimo.rnin hand feels solid, the flash pictures are a beautiful full color, in my beautiful opening system and the choice of doing a manual zoom (is more accurate and does not consume the battery) is interesting, I do not know why to f2 only snaps to 1/1000 sec. but it arrives at 1/4000 to smaller apertures. The lens is threaded to accept filters that perhaps other machines hanno.insomma not a complete machine equipped with a sensor maybe a little small but really beautiful colors. Finally you can adjust the white balance finely fairly veloce.rnun Greetings to all sent on August 01, 2015 |
