Pros: Incredibly compact, especially on pro bodies (Panasonic G9) the lens is tiny, beautiful colors, ultralinear with insignificant distortions

Cons: At the moment none, let's just say the fact that it does not communicate with the body, but you know when you buy it

Opinion: It's an exceptional lens, period. Tiny and perfectly linear, with lovely colors. At F4 it becomes a razor, at F2 it is slightly soft, and has a tendency to vignette. Also used up to F8 (in extreme light conditions) it has no particular diffraction - better to use it up to 5.6. The fact that you can mount filters is a non-negligible plus, the hood does its duty, even if it really looks like a fake toy. Among other things, to mount the hood you need to remove the front cap, just as you can not put the cap with the hood mounted outwards, not bad, you risk less to forget it and take a beating. It is a particular lens, which can give immense satisfaction to landscapers, as well as those who deal with real estate. If you take it with you on the road, it is difficult to be replaced by other lenses unless they are canvases. Note: the focus peaking in the room is useful, not essential for landscapes of course, but the lens has a minimum focusing distance really close, so if you want to use it for that, better to have a camera with focus peacking

Pros: lightness, compactness, sharpness, price and thread for filters

Cons: they had put "pro" in the name would have been the top

Opinion: I bought this lens for about a month and I never detached it from the car because I love to portray landscapes. That said, the object in question returns a sense of robustness and solidity that is not indifferent. Making landscapes the fact that it is in manual focus is really not important, indeed it makes sense to the focus peaking of our cameras. Coupled with my EM10ii it seems to have toys in my hand. From F2.8 to f8, the lens returns great sharpness. The colors are really pleasant. I didn't notice any particular vignettes. Filters: Initially I bought an ND1000 circular filter, then discovered Nisi's M75 system with built-in polarizer and slab filters. Another story. That said, it's clear that for those with an Olympus body, the comparison is made with the 7-14 Pro. I do not know the reasons that made me choose Laowa are: weight, size, price and above all the ability to mount filters in an easier way. As for which the cost differs by the same brand of 400 euros. Conclusion: a must have for the micro 4/3 system

Pros: Very sharp, good chromatic rendering, compactness and lightness.

Cons: Light vignetting, distortion and Flaire

Opinion: Bought in the store at a lower price from the one shown in the card at the time of the review, you can immediately notice its compactness but also a very good build quality, the only flaw is the lens hood that seems not to be fixed... At the image level creates light Vignetting and Distortion, the first is not a problem the second a little if you photograph cities or palaces, but manageable. Little to do against the Flaire present in backlight but also those just gestirili in composition. For the rest it gives really sharp images with beautiful colors. A great value is the aperture at F2 that helps to make night photography. Also interesting is the minimal focus, which can be creative motion. Very satisfied of the purchase.

Pros: Sharpness, well-contraset images, ridiculous lens dimensions, ability to mount screw filters

Cons: Vignette at F2,0

Opinion: I have read mixed opinions on this lens, even on the net there are reviews of decentrated specimens, despite being supplied directly by the manufacturer. Being a risk lover I wanted to try it and, it will have been a good luck, but my specimen is just perfect. This lens churn out really contraated images in every occasion and beautiful colors. It is also a fun focal to use, so much so that I can no longer do without it. I preferred it to zoom 7-14 because of the aperture, since the lens was to test it with the Northern Lights. The lens has not disappointed at all, although when you stand in front of certain shows even a F2,0 starts to go tight and maybe you want an F1, 4. A great feature is the possibility of mounting screw filters, but being a super-wide angle you need to use filters of type "slim", penalty the inclusion of the filter ring in the image. The size of this lens are tiny, it almost looks like a toy lens. Having made a trip with a professional photographer friend equipped with Canon 5DSR with Samyang 14mm F2,8, we found that the framed field is exactly the same. Putting the Canon with the Sammy 14 next to the Oly with the Laowa 7.5, you get the impression of being in front of a camera with a sort of miniature model alongside. The images that churn out the little Laowa are however really engraved and we must not fear inferiority complexes due to the dimensions. The lens hood is also of a minimal metal type. But we come to the Cons: the vignette at F2,0. The fall of light at the edges at TA amounts to, by eye, a couple of stops compared to the center of the frame. At F5, 6 we can say that the sticker disappears. The impression is that the lens is extremely miniaturised, if they had built it with a larger diameter perhaps it would have vignetted less. That is optimized for 1 "sensors? Anyway, it snaps quietly at F2,0 and, all in all, the vignette to TA is still at manageable levels

Pros: Dimensions, weight, very good construction, minimum distance of MF

Cons: Cost per gram high

Opinion: At the moment it is the widest lens for M4 / 3 that accepts screw filters of only 46 cm and for those who take photos of the landscape the polarizer is sometimes mandatory. There is also the Panasonic 8/16 mm a tighter hair but it costs twice as much (I took it in a shop in Lombardy at 630 euros and at the moment on Amazon costs 200 more). Now with 600 grams the camera no longer weighs on the neck in the long mountain walks (first between SLR and Sigma 10/20 mm I had 1200) rnThe construction is very good all in aluminum even the small removable hood, the focus ring is sufficiently large and with good resistance, only the diaphragms is small attached to the machine and use a little inconvenient if you they have big hands. the diaphragms are 2 2.8 4 5.6 8 11 16 22 snap (not continuous) and the sharpness from the center to the edges and already noticeable at f4. (I did a test at home photographing a bookshelf on the wall and the writing of the stereo on the left all the way down is perfectly legible) .rnStained in bubble all the vertical linesat the side of the frame are perfectly straight, obvious if you tilt the machine a little they widen or tighten but with Lightroom are easily corrected. The minimum distance of MF is only 12 cm with the possibility to make even almost macro photos, and it is only manual but shooting from f 5.6 and up is all clear.rnWhat if you look for the lightness and the possibility of mounting screw filters this Laowa is for you, there is the silver version that mounted on the Olympus EM5 silver makes the its figurarnIf I can be helpful with other news please feel free to contact me rnrnrn
