![]() | Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Pros: Image quality, weight and size, autofocus, price quality, colors, focal range Cons: Vignette on FF, chromatic aberrations, sharpness at the edges Opinion: Taken used for less than 80 euros is a lens that is worth every euro spent. Light and compact, you always carry it behind and it is always reliable despite the plastic construction suggests a low quality goal. On my 6D the balance is optimal and it is a handyman who surprised me for the image quality that he can guarantee in all light conditions. Great AF that immediately hooks the subject and is silent. The small flaws it has are a heightened vignette on TA FF that disappears closing at f/8, AC and distortion at 24mm but everything is easily corrected in PP. The drop in sharpness at the edges in such an inexpensive lens can stay there but you only notice zooming in on the photos and it's not a big deal for the success of a shot. sent on October 02, 2020 |
![]() | Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Pros: AF silent and precise, sharpness, lightness. Cons: Brightness, flare. Opinion: The Canon 10-18 STM is a great lens that saved me in various situations where the 17mm was not enough for me. Around the city allows you to photograph anything thanks to its 10mm, it has a good sharpness and thanks to its plastic construction is also very light (but also a bit weak). He's got a few flare problems but it's common to a lot of wide-anglers and given the economics of the lens there is. In my opinion it is the ideal wide-angle to learn to master this type of lenses. sent on July 20, 2019 |
![]() | Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC OS HSM Macro C Pros: Size and weight, good quality handyman, build quality, AF, brightness. Cons: Front lens cap. Opinion: It's the lens that I chose as an all-rounder on my 100D because it has a focal range that allows you to do everything while maintaining a good overall image quality, it is light and very compact, it has a great focus (my model had no front problems/ back focus) and is sharp especially in the center, a little more "pasty" at the edges. At the level of files produced I did not find any particular problems of chromatic aberrations or distortions, in case in a few clicks they are easily eliminated with any post-production program. Ultimately for lighter outputs is the inseparable companion. Only flaw (compared with the build quality of the lens) in my opinion is the front cap that protects the lens, is difficult to hook at the first shot and tends to release too easily, they could do better. sent on July 19, 2019 |
![]() | Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD Pros: Sharpness, lampshade included, price, f2.8 constant. Cons: Construction quality. Opinion: I had for a few months this excellent lens that I changed only for the matter of convenience at the focal level opting for a sigma 17-70C. Combined with my Canon 100D, it churned out crisp rows, nothing to do with the 18-55STM Canon which, in my opinion, had more saturated and pleasant hair colors. The lens is an excellent and inexpensive upgrade of the aforementioned 18-55, the only flaw that I found in my specimen a build quality not quite at the top (various crunches and dial zoom not fluid) that however does not absolutely affect the final result . If you do not need stabilization i recommend it also for its brightness being 2.8 on the whole focal, otherwise there is always the stabilized version that in many say be less sharp than this. sent on July 19, 2019 |
![]() | Canon 100D Pros: Portability, value for money, ease of use, vastness of the screen, AF center point, touchscreen display Cons: ISO high noise Opinion: I will never stop thanking Canon for creating this little gem without which, probably, I would never have approached the world of photography. It is a simple, reliable and discreet machine that in such a small body already has everything it takes to learn the various photographic techniques. And just its portability made me choose, I didn't want anything too bulky and heavy and, if that's what you're looking for, little Canon is the entry level par excellence. Among other things it has the indisputable advantage of having a virtually infinite optical park thanks to the EF attack and has always returned to me excellent images with whatever lens I have tried, including those of compatible brands. Great the AF, especially the center point, personally I use only that and I recompose the framing because doing so is always very precise. After 5 years of happy use I decided to switch to the full frame (but I kept it as the second body for the less demanding exits), only because of the poor sensor tightness at high ISO (photographer often after sunset and over ISO 1600 the noise is clearly visible) , but in my opinion it's really the only flaw. One could also mention the non-excellent battery life, but basically just a few euros to buy a spare one or, at the very least, the lack of wi-fi but this i consider marginally important. Very recommended to those who want to spend little and have in their hands a small but "real" reflex in all respects. sent on July 18, 2019 |
![]() | Tamron AF 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Di II LD Macro Pros: image quality, price, compact and lightweight lens hood included Cons: noisy AF, unregulated, front lens rotation Opinion: This is in my opinion the ideal target for those who want to approach the world of photography canvas. On my 100D fits perfectly thanks to the very small dimensions. The value for money is fantastic (I have found used on eBay spending only € 45, and again you can find for less than € 100), produces excellent images and has a very nice blurred. It 'a little bright but, in his age range, all are so I do not consider myself a real difetto.rnOvvio, has its limitations: it is not stabilized, the AF is noisy and not very fast, the front lens rotates during the focus and zoom, making it difficult to use the polarizing filter, but, despite everything, he shot more and more convincing. When used under the right lighting conditions and in the range from f8 to f10 he is able to provide very satisfactory images. sent on August 17, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Brightness, excellent blurred, light weight and dimensions, colors, quiet autofocusing, excellent value for money Cons: AC and some slight vignetting at f / 2.8, but it is fine! Opinion: I state that I speak from amateur to the first weapons, but what to say .. I bought this pancake finding a ridiculous price on eBay (just over 100 €) and, obviously, I'm delighted! Combined with my EOS 100D offers a high quality image with very minimal size and weight. Ideal as a "training" to learn how to compose well and use their creativity, since it is a fixed lens. Very beautiful macro and portraits. Smoothly and silent focusing. The strategic advice to all !! sent on June 06, 2015 |
