Pros: Excellent stabilizer (see my test on my profile), sharpness already at TA, super build quality, speed of focus

Cons: 82 mm filters and weight

Opinion: I have been using this lens for several years now on APS-C. Tested in all situations. Great lens. The sharpness is very good, the exceptional stabilizer with a very fast focus. Occasionally (rarely) I've had back-focus problems. The lens is made of metal alloys, weighs a little but the quality is really good. Too bad for the 82 mm filters. Beautiful big. AF / 8 brings out the best in itself. I feel really good. Comparing it with the cousin Nikon (24-120) the difference in weight is felt (in favor of the Nikkor) but the external quality of the lens does not question itself. It has the reverse rotation of the zoom ring on Nikon, but you get used to it quickly. I recommend it.rn

sigma_10-20_f4-5Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Pros: Focal thrust, sharpness from f11 to f16, colors, ability to mount the screw filters, price, dimensions.

Cons: Dim, bad front cap but I have resolved with an original cap nikon. The rest is really good!

Opinion: My first wide angle for aps-c. What about .. cheaply made so much! Color and sharpness really good. Lightweight and comfortable. The focal thrust I like a lot. To make landscapes is perfect. It suffers when there is little light and six freehand. Then you have to raise the ISO and rely only to the body and its resistance to high ISO. Maximum sharpness is obtained by f11 up: the edges clearly improved. A TA is not too bad. I have it for 3 and a half years and I was tempted to change it, then I never thought about it. Taken anywhere: safari, sea, mountain, city. Robust and very good materials come (not to the current levels sigma ART but still very good). Coupled with the d7000 is exceptional! I recommend it to everybody!
