![]() | Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 Pros: quality, tropicalized, very fast AF, weight, excellent stabilization, fair price, 5 years warranty Cons: microregulation is not very easy, but of course you have to consider the focal point! Colors not excellent, but manageable in PP. Opinion: I was undecided with the Sigma S (and the 100/400 II L) but the difference in weight and price, made me choose the G2. Certainly the quality of the first 2 will be higher but I do not regret it indeed, I am fully satisfied with it, I use it on 70D and they churn out great photos as far as I am concerned. I can (pre-lockdown) do a few hours without excessive arm fatigue. Precise and fast autofocus gives me great satisfaction! sent on April 09, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Pros: All Cons: if you don't need the 2.8, NONE Opinion: It is lightweight, tropicalized, stabilized (including panning mode), fast and reliable MAF, compact (internal zoom). What more to ask for? Ah yes the price of the used is great! I've been owning it for 5 years now, and it's a marvel from focus to color rendering. I mainly use it to "chase" my 2 monelli (which are never immobile) and it is giving me many satisfactions. With the extension tubes I was able to make even more than satisfactory macros. If you don't need a 2.8 (but watch your weight and pay attention to what you choose!), because you're professional or otherwise, it's your lens! sent on October 30, 2020 |
![]() | Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM II Pros: f2.8, RELIABILITY and SPEED MAF, silent, Sharpness, three-dimensionality, Weight.. ALL (No flaws!) Cons: Some complain about the lack of stabilisation, for me it is a pro, as it saves weight; if you buy such a lens you have to have a minimum of machine body worthy of supporting it (not an entry level for sure), so you work with safety times and raise ISOs. So for me nothing, apart from the cost (but even here, it's all worth it in my opinion and there's no complaining) Opinion: What to say, you mount it on the body and you don't really take it off anymore (try to believe). The pros are a marvel, at 2.8 it is very sharp almost to the corners, at F4 it is a blade on everything. All PRO's are well described by other users and I gladly confirm them without repeating myself! Apart from the BOKEH that does not particularly excite me (I think, however, the subjective thing), the lens is perfect for me! sent on October 30, 2020 |
![]() | Canon 6D Pros: 20 Mpixel, high ISO seal, reliability, battery life, used price Cons: Nothing so burdensome. It doesn't excel at focus speed (but it depends on what you photograph). Opinion: Purchased about a year and a half ago to support the 70d. Focus speed is the only flaw I honestly encounter. However, it seems to me to be precise and reliable; I only use the center point and recompose, so I don't lament the few af dots (just know it). Always comparing the two machines in my possession, perhaps it lacks the adjustable screen that in certain situations is convenient, but even here it is enough to get used to it. Convenient is the WIFI that in some cases compensates for the lack of the posable screen (with mobile phone and APP). The thing that is FANTASTIC is the high ISO seal, it really impressed me: at 3200/6400 (and with the right PP) you clean the noise from the photos excellently. I also find the recovery of shadows very good. We are, of course, talking about an 'old' machine, but still excellent considering the current price of used car; if you want to switch to FF, without fainting and without technological pretensions, I think it is the optimal solution! Highly recommended! sent on October 30, 2020 |
![]() | Kenko Pro 300 DGX 2.0x Pros: Value for money, comfort in travel/excursions, Robustness Cons: Normal sharpness drop but certainly not so marked Opinion: I have had it for years and those who buy it know what to expect as pros and cons. I believe that the people are in favour of choice. I also use it with the 70/200 F4 and outdoors it does not miss a beat despite the loss of stop and, honestly, I did not experience any particular problems of sharpness or anything else. I also used it with the 150/600 G2 with easel to photograph the moon and I cannot complain, despite the actual decrease in sharpness found; I'm going to post a picture soon in order to let the picture itself speak. If you travel a lot, I recommend it for sure! sent on October 30, 2020 |
