nikon_z8Nikon Z8

Pros: Ergonomics, customization possibilities, autofocus and image quality at not too high ISO.

Cons: Quite annoying noise from 3600 iso upwards. Precapture in jpg only. The closure of the card compartment could be equipped with a safety hook.... it never opened but still it doesn't seem to me to be made up to the rest of the car.

Opinion: I have owned it since last October. Coming from the Z6ii (which I absolutely don't want to sell anyway) I found a great step forward on the autofocus side for fast moving subjects. It is not infallible but returns a large number of shots in focus even with very fast subjects. Lately I have had the opportunity to photograph the dipper with many shots even in flight where the af has behaved very well. I got it used for 3300 € with 3 original batteries and I am very satisfied with the purchase

nikon_z2-0xNikon Z TC-2.0x

Pros: Turn my 400 f4.5 into an appreciable 800 f9

Cons: I'd say none but the cost

Opinion: I've waited a while to buy it and it will represent, at least for quite a while, my last purchase related to the transition to mirrorless. I got it mainly to match it with my 400 f4.5 to photograph wary subjects. Since many animals in nature, even if quite confident, change their attitude when approached, I prefer to keep a sufficient distance in these cases to have the most natural attitudes possible. This is true in good light where the 2x still returns good images. Sooner or later I'll be testing with 2x on the 70-180 f2.8 and update the review. For the moment, however, I am satisfied with the purchase, knowing in advance the limits in the case of shots at excessive distances.

nikon_z70-180Nikon Z 70-180mm f/2.8

Pros: Size, weight, brightness and image quality.

Cons: It bothers me a bit that I have to lock the zoom after use and unlock it before use. It's nonsense, but it's the only thing that didn't convince me too much.

Opinion: As I often write, my equipment is almost always in my backpack and I take it for a walk in the mountains. Thanks also to this lens with practically only the weight of my old 200-400f4 I can bring Z6ii, 14-30 f4, 24-70 f4, 70-180 f2.8, 400f4.5, 1.4x and 2x. I practically cover almost from focal length 14 to 800. It is therefore understandable that lenses like these, which one carries around without thinking too much about it and which, if necessary, prove to be able to cope very well can make the difference. I've never tried the 70-200 f2.8 and I can also expect it to be superior in quality, but I think because of the portability it would often stay at home. Summing up, I would recommend this lens to which I give a nice 9 only because I think the 10 belongs to the 70-200 f2.8.

nikon_z14-30_f4sNikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S

Pros: Excellent optical performance, lightness and compactness

Cons: I have no criticism against this lens

Opinion: My equipment often accompanies me in my backpack during my long walks in the mountains mainly for the purpose of photographing wild animals. Being also a lover of mountain scenery, I almost always carry a wide-angle lens with me. Given the weight and size of this 14-30 it hardly doesn't fit in my backpack. This lens allows me to take home some great shots so I can only appreciate it.

nikon_z1-4xNikon Z TC-1.4x

Pros: Great companion for the 400f4.5 with minimal performance drop

Cons: I would say no cons

Opinion: I bought it to use it with the 400 f4.5 and I can only be satisfied with the purchase. The drop in performance side sharpness and speed af is really minimal and I still find myself only 1/3 of a stop darker than my 80-400. From my experience I can say that the 400 f4.5 with 1.4x is a span above the 80-400 smooth in every respect. The next purchase I think will be the 2x always to be used on the 400f4.5

nikon_z400_f4-5vrNikon Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S

Pros: Weight, sharpness, small size and stabilization.

Cons: Only a measly piece bag is provided to guard the objective.... Already my 80-400 had a case much more suitable for the purpose.

Opinion: I have now used it sufficiently to be able to pass judgment. Having already owned the 200-400f4 and the 80-400 the first thing I did was do some comparison tests. It is true that they are dated optics in comparison but still the result was this: The blur of the 400 is very similar to that of the 200-400 but the sharpness on the areas in focus is much higher. At short focusing distances the magnification ratio of the two is practically equal. The af of the 400 is much faster and quieter. In summary, the 400 weighs 2 kg less but has much higher performance. The 200-400 has from its that is a zoom but you can not have everything. The comparison with the 80-400 was very merciless for the latter. The 80-400 af often has hesitations while the 400 always goes on target. At close up I was able to verify that the 400 at 3.5mt enlarges about the same as the 80-400 at 2.5mt. The file quality and sharpness on the subject with the 400 is incredibly superior. If I want to express an opinion thinking back to the 300 f2.8 that I owned for a long time I would say that I can say that it reminds me a lot. From the shots taken with the 1.4x multiplier I can say that it is also excellent at full aperture and very usable in all situations. Next year I will make my evaluations but I think I will also take the 2x for the less confident subjects and when the light is not a problem. The only flaw is the case provided to protect the lens which is a piece sewn like an envelope that is nothing short of ridiculous. In summary, I am really satisfied with this little gem and I am convinced that Nikon with the Z nettles has worked great. As a vote I would give a nice 9.5 because the 10 is not species with a € 2 envelope as a protective case.

nikon_z24-70_f4sNikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S

Pros: Excellent sharpness of the file, low weight, good construction and I like that the lens when not used is further shortened.

Cons: I took it in kit with the Z6ii and given the behavior I can not talk about cons

Opinion: Taken in kit with the Z6ii.Il first comparison I made was with the D4 and 24-120 f4 that I used before and I find that the new pair has a much better yield while saving about 1kg of weight. If it had been 24-120 I probably would have preferred but I don't think I'll make the change since I'm really fine with it. I happen to go out at high altitude with the tent to photograph sunrises and sunsets and z6ii + 24-70 are a great way to make excellent shots limiting the weight to just over 1 kg

nikon_z6iiNikon Z6 II

Pros: For shots of wild animals the first advantage is the silent shot. Very comfortable body and with great possibility to customize the various keys. Af very accurate and fast enough to meet my needs. Very high file quality.

Cons: Door of the board that a couple of times is opened handling the machine.

Opinion: I come from D50-D300-D3 and D4 and now I've switched to mirrorless with the Z6ii. I found myself saving more than half a kg of weight for the car compared to my previous situation and, since I walk a lot in the mountains in the company of photographic equipment, I travel much lighter and more comfortable. I immediately found myself comfortable with the car and I was amazed at the precision of the af. Currently for photos of animals in nature I use it with the 80-400 that I used before and I am fine even if probably the dedicated lenses will make it better. I took it in kit with the 24-70 f4 and I must say that the pairing is amazing. The yield compared to D4 with 24-120 is significantly higher with one kg less. Now I am considering the purchase of the 400 f4.5 because of the weight, quality and brightness. I'm glad that Nikon, unlike Canon, didn't take the path of dark lenses. If I have to give it a rating I would say 9.5. With some improvements to the af department I would give 10.

nikon_tc2_v3Nikon TC-20E III

Pros: Great image quality coupled with Nikon AF-S 300mm f/2.8 G ED VR.rnL 'f remains excellent with conditions favorable light and still very good with light scarsa.rnSe subjects are not too far away is already in utilizzabilissimo full aperture.

Cons: Small thing, but I would have preferred not to hear the sound of the latch to the aperture when it is detached from the machine.

Opinion: I've always been super happy with the duplicator in questione.rnDa then when I switched from D300 to D3 my satisfaction is further aumentata.rnCon the D300 worked fine in good light conditions, with the D3 is almost always used with great risultati.rnVisto the weighs practically nothing and I never do without taking him out with me.

nikon_70-200_f4vrNikon AF-S 70-200mm f/4 G ED VR

Pros: I put the pro in what I consider my order of importance: rnAutofocus very high performance, very pleasant blur, minimum distance of focus, stabilizer layer, light weight and versatility.

Cons: With regard to the use it was unsuccessful for now but I think I would not have complained if the collar to the stand was "standard". RnL'unico against maybe the price high enough.

Opinion: I chose this lens to cover a range of focal scoperto.rnDalle earliest evidence I have just been impressed by the results. It 's the first time I find myself so excited about a lens that goes around without even hearing the collo.rnNonostante its limited weight gives a picture quality unexpected from the point of view of definition of what sfocato.rnAltra amazing is the stabilizer. I possess the 300 F/2.8 with the stabilizer of the first generation that is almost ridiculous in comparison to that of the new 70/200.rnRiassumendo can say that they are happy the scelta.rn
