![]() | Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM S Pros: Sharpness, Contrast, Good color rendering even at high iso. Cons: Considerable weight, unbalanced forward Opinion: I bought this used lens and at a good price. I had doubts because I was used to the quality and handling of the Canon 300 2.8 IS 1st version, but too short a focal length, I never decided to switch to a zoom. After a few months that I am using this Sigma 150-600 Sport, I must say that I am satisfied, as I found a specimen absolutely free from front/ back focus and on my 5D MK IV it works very well. The lens is made with excellent materials and the feeling is to have in your hands a sturdy and quality lens. Unfortunately I can not express a completely positive judgment about the weight that is felt a lot if you use it freehand, other than everything is strongly unbalanced forward and even the use with monopod or tripod, in my opinion requires the addition of a bracket longer than the original one supplied. The quality of the images is of a good level even at high Iso, colors and contrast are more than appreciable. A negative note in my opinion is this: I find the Lock key of the focal block almost useless for the way it was made; primarily because it can not be blocked on intermediate focal lengths eg: 450 - 550 mm. Etc. and secondly it tends to disengage easily when resting the lens on the side of the hood in an upright position or when doing stray hunting with the lens hooked to the monopod. However, if I have to express my opinion on this lens I think it is completely positive, and the value for money is one of the best. Promoted with flying colors. sent on February 01, 2022 |

![]() | Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Pros: Optical quality and construction, 2 lens hood as standard accessories, weather sealing and AF fast enough, it also works with multipliers Canon Cons: stabilizer 4-stops in close-up photography 1:1, is almost completely nullified or at least in part. Opinion: It 'just that I purchased this goal, and are not yet able to give an appropriate judgment, but I am happy for the great clarity that I found also in TA. also the problem of focus that complain about those who have preceded me, in my example I did not notice, "even blocking the ring at the bottom of the tripod. Moreover, I was positively surprised when I mounted the Canon 1.4x multiplier working with AF and AF with 2x manual but with still image quality really amazing! rnBoh! lucky to be a copy, or at least hope for ora.rnBuona light at all. sent on November 02, 2013 |
