Pros: Blurred, precision and ergonomics of the dials, construction, sharpness, price. The well-made lens hood is included.

Cons: Evident chromatic aberrations, autofocus and stabilization are missing but you know it from the beginning.

Opinion: An old-fashioned lens that takes advantage of focus peaking and returns an excellent result from full aperture. My sample is sharp, solid, well built, with precise and correctly frictioned rings. Unfortunately, the chromatic aberrations are evident, but they help to create a vintage mood in portraiture. The shallow depth of field at full aperture requires a steady hand and the ability to think about the shot. The ridiculous price at which I bought it, new, from a German shop during Black Friday sweeps away any hesitation about its defects. 105€ and a few cents. One of the funniest lenses I've ever tried, perfect for escaping from the too many automatisms of contemporary photography.

canon_rf100-400_f8isCanon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM

Pros: Lightness, compactness and sharpness of subjects at short distances. Discreet stabilization. Interesting potential as semi-macro.

Cons: Rather dark, but you know it from the beginning. Only enough sharpness with distant subjects, just beyond a certain distance.

Opinion: Great hiking zoom, perfect for landscaping and more. It combines compactness, lightness and ease of swinging. He does not disdain some shots in birdlife but as soon as you exceed a certain distance from the subject the fine detail is lost. The stabilization is decent but the good old rule of maintaining shutter speeds according to the focal length chosen remains valid. It is particularly comfortable and fun to use, despite the variable aperture. Advised!

canon_rf15-30stmCanon RF 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM

Pros: Compact and at the same time solid lens despite the cheap construction, rather versatile focal range, good sharpness. Super stabilization for video makers.

Cons: Software-corrected distortion, unsaturated colors in RAW, variable aperture rather closed. Not very suitable for night photography.

Opinion: Purchased almost as a joke because I use focal lengths below 24mm very little, it has instead become very pleasant to use when you want to change perspective. It is true that the sharpness is not exceptional and that the colors are a bit flat, but the final result clearly depends on post-production as well. For the price paid it is a beautiful glass without too many frills, ideal for those genres where the relatively closed opening is not a limit. I'm using it for landscaping, architecture, interiors.
