![]() | Sigma SD Quattro H Pros: Foveon Sensor Cons: High ISO Opinion: I will be very brief. The sensor is something incredible. And this is enough and advances to understand what we are talking about. If you are looking for the best autofocus in the world, look elsewhere; if the lens is to photograph in low light, it's not for you. But if you try it, you risk falling in love with it because the sharpness of the image is extraordinary. Fairytale black and white. sent on September 13, 2022 |
![]() | Sony A6000 Pros: Price, image quality, autofocus, weight Cons: Display not fully adjustable (no Vlog), battery, high ISO, Poorly defined histogram Opinion: I took this machine in 2022, exclusively for the street and also to try the mirrorless system, given the cost of 500 euros absolutely contained. Immediately abandoned the improbable kit 16-50 (I wonder why they provide it supplied ...), I mounted the 50 mm f / 1.8 sony (which I still find inferior to the canon counterpart) and, once I understood the menu quite complicated, I realized that for the street the mirrorless has no comparison. Of course, the display is not completely adjustable so, in conditions of strong brightness, it is a bit complicated to use it, but beyond this it is an extraordinary camera, with an autofocus that left me speechless. Very important, if taken in RAW, is to disable DRO / Auto HDR, otherwise the photos will be underexposed, unlike what you see on the preview of the screen. I do not know other mirrorless to make comparisons, but surely the battery has a limited duration (I recommend two more spare), the noise at 800 ISO is well present and on the Histogram there would be a lot to say (it is really skimpy), although probably those who have a mirrorless tend to look at it little, relying on what they see on the display. The weight is really feather, which makes it a wonderful travel companion especially in a crowded city. sent on September 01, 2022 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: Price, sharpness Cons: Nobody Opinion: It is the lens with which we usually start, given the price. Yet the sharpness, already at maximum aperture, is splendid. Obviously suitable for portraits, but beyond closed spaces in which obviously the focal length (which in APS-C reaches 75-80 mm depending on the brands) struggles, you can do anything. For me, especially considering the price, it deserves 10. sent on August 23, 2022 |

![]() | Canon 2000D Pros: Weight, price, ease of use, understandable menu Cons: AF, too few focus points, lack of SPOT measurement, exposure lock button Opinion: This is an entry level, so we cannot expect excellence. The price, currently about 500 euros (at 559 if including a bag), is captivating for those who want to approach the world of photography. To tell the truth the quality of the photos, if you soon abandon the 18-55 kit lens, and use very cheap lenses such as the 24 mm pancake (which I do not love but does its job) or the 50 mm Canon, is not bad at all and manages to offer great satisfaction to newbies. The menu of immediate understanding allows, to those who for the first time turn on a camera, not to waste a lot of time to understand how it works. And this is a great merit because to learn to photograph you simply have to photograph and not go crazy to understand all the infinite options. The limits, beyond a not very fast AF, lie in the few points of focus and in the lack of SPOT measurement of exposure (there are the evaluative one, weighed in the center and partial). The lack of SPOT measurement is something that, especially in an SLR, I struggle to understand and that prevents, in my opinion, a fundamental moment of a photographer's learning, especially against the light with the relative need to compensate for the exposure. The exposure lock lasts too little and it is better to hold down the button (which is a bit uncomfortable). So the ISO (extendable up to 12800 through the customization function). In summary, the 2000d is recommended for those who approach the world of photography and want a decent camera at a low price and easy to use; it is not suitable for those who discover that they are passionate about photography, because after a short time they will feel the need for a camera with a higher quality. sent on August 21, 2022 |
