olympus_e-pl1Olympus PEN E-PL1

Pros: Solidity, stabilization

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I state that I have been a Nikonist for decades and I also own many Canon bodies and lenses. I felt like a mirrorless and I found this camera used with the Nikon F lens adapter. The whole thing cost me 80 euros ...... A nonsense considering that I use (in manual focus) my Nikon lenses of the highest quality. As soon as you take the machine out of the box, the body immediately provides a feeling of robustness and reassuring solidity. I immediately mounted the adapter and my nikon 28-85. The only difficulty I found was the focus through the screen because it is difficult to find the right fire..... Some photos have been blurred but as an 'old' I made double or triple and the wrong ones I obviously threw them. For the rest the machine has everything, including the stabilizer that works very well. In the conditions in which I found myself (all manual) I had a lot of fun and I took some beautiful photos. It seems to photograph as it once was (I returned the kid of when I had Vitoret) when everything was in the hands of the photographer. Attention photos not of action and still subjects nothing else but for a landscape photo without haste is a lot of fun. Forget the Nikon and Canon 'guns'. I can't say how 'his' focus goes with proprietary optics but I've seen that the choice of optics is a bit scarce. Very easy and intuitive menu ....... It is used without instructions. It's a machine to try and you won't be disappointed if you buy it with the right spirit. It is located little in spite of today's mirrorless prices that are all the rage. Olympus on compact bodies has always been a benchmark. In the end I vote 8. Good Olympus pen to all and have fun..... Ah: it fits in your pocket like a mobile phone.... It's a sole

nikon_85_f1-8dNikon AF 85mm f/1.8 D

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, substance

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Surgeon's goal: you have a scalpel in your hand. I have owned this timeless milestone for 20 years and I assure you that it will be with me for quite a while. A f2 already has a devastating sharpness at the edges and a dizzying blurry. The feeling you have is to have in your hand pure quality that from the touch passes straight to the graphic result. If you then mount it on an APS C you have an abundant 120 that from portrait is fabulous. Attention: superior a hundred times to its brother f 1.4bin terms of distortion and vignetting....... Happy 85 to all and do not sell it: you will regret it bitterly

nikon_d3100Nikon D3100

Pros: Simplicity and lightness

Cons: No POS for old nikon lenses

Opinion: I state that I own several Nikon cameras being a collector and a friend of mine gave me his D3100 because he no longer used it instead of throwing it away. Not to do the phenomenon that I am absolutely not but to say that I did not expect anything from this body. You never throw away an object and being practically new I put it in the middle of my racing cars. With my head still attached to my D2 D3 D4 and D5 I put on the 85 f 1.8 in manual focus and went for a ride. The machine is lightweight and cute to use with a large display that informs you about everything. To start taking pictures is a nice start and you have fun. The sensor is Aps C and still releases good memories as long as you do not push too much up with the ISO. What I want to tell you is to frame it in the correct panorama and you will be happy to have it. I am one who comes from film and I always shoot at 100 or 200 ISO, of the two I look if a camera has 50 ISO instead of 1600 but this is my way of taking photos preferring landscapes and subjects mostly static. I recommend a small portable tripod that also serves to support the car and have fun in the evening at the beach or in the city ............ You will have fun in lightness. The only mechanical drawback is the lack of power take-out for AF. Happy 3100 to everyone and young guys I say to use a 3100 and not the I Phone ..... Other emotion and observation

canon_50_f1-8_v1Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 (1987 version)

Pros: Robust, well made with metal bayonet

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I bought this used 'thirty-year-old' for 70 euros as new. I'm a Nikon man and I started using Canon because my friends were talking about it. Starting a new kit I did not want to exaggerate immediately and I bought the 24 EF S and this 50. Mounted on the EOS 1 mark2 I started taking pictures of my son with burst shutter. The focus is not lightning....... here you can feel the 30 years of age. Sometimes some shots come out of focus. But the object is worth its money and churns out excellent results between f4 and f11 with excellent sharpness and a very particular blurred and very different from the nikon parity that I own. The behavior is however in full line with this type of objectives. I would like to share a reflection with you: I thought a lot about whether to buy this or the new 50 STM and then after various thoughts I opted for this, believe me not to save 30 euros ....... But because I wanted to savor again those objects of the past that maybe were not super performing but were qualitatively excellent. I tried again that feeling of when the kit was made by the 28, the 50 and the 135 remember you remember???? So if you want to go back give yourself this 50 a few pennies if you find it and you will return children or young people ............ Speaks one class 1973. Happy 50 to all

canon_1d2Canon 1D Mark II

Pros: Solidity, speed, impact as soon as you take it in hand

Cons: Small screen and controls to study, can not mount EF S optics

Opinion: I bought this used body as new for 380 euros. Fundamental premise because today some compacts cost more. As soon as you pick it up you realize that you have a racing car on you and the feeling it gives you is of robustness and safety in the job that this object must perform. It does not have many megapixels but I assure you that the photos it pulls out are devastating with unparalleled quality. Don't look at the screen!!!!!!!!! Put a WiFi card in it and you're good to go (Paolo Catalucci below me is right). The machine weighs but its mass is worth as much gold as it weighs, you will be rewarded by a super quality. Do not use the burst.......... In this mode it becomes a machine gun and fill 8 GB in a very short time. Ovvmente I'm joking ........ the gust is lightning. The only note is to use non-bulky lenses...... I was used to 'standard' machines..... this is larger than the others and with bulky lenses can be difficult to transport. I speak as an experienced amateur photo evolved not as a professional. I use it with 50 1.8 or with 100 f2 and it is very balanced. From a new incomparable era today it is very accessible and gives great satisfaction ........ Finally, I tell you that I am considering the purchase of a second body equal as much as I like. Even compared to today's machines it keeps up great. Good mark ll to all of you

canon_450dCanon 450D

Pros: Lightness, ease of use, large display, used price, compactness

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I state that I bought this used machine for 90 euros with 2000 shots as new and with its original packaging. The machine is very nice and easy to use. It has nothing to envy to other much more expensive bodies in terms of functionality. Maybe at the high ISO it grains a little bit but all in all it is an acceptable situation. Today with 90 euros you can not even buy a compact entry level ...... Those who say that it is plasticona may also be right but it is always a reflex that bought used costs almost nothing. My vote for what was my purchase is full. If I had paid EUR 300 for it, I would have expressed myself differently. Used at the price I paid I take it with my eyes closed.

canon_efs24stmCanon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM

Pros: Size,optical quality

Cons: nobody

Opinion: I bought this lens because after years of heavy and bulky SLRs I wanted to mount on an eos100d a lens that created an excessively compact set. I did not expect miracles from a compact lens with few lenses but not even a disaster since it is a fixed lens. I have to say that I was very much fought between the 24th and the 40th then I opted for the 24th which I have to admit is a 'smart' focal length. On a dx sensor that is with a factor of 1.6x it is an actual 38mm (perfect focal for Street use) while on the full frame it is 24 'true'. That said, it behaves like a good wide angle and the vignette almost immediately stops at f4. It goes like a missile in terms of AF also having the step engine that gives silence and just precision. Very low aberrations and the 'filter' dimension make it disappear under the nose of the machines. Full vote and a recommendation..... Used you pay half and have fun......... Perfect optics to take to the sea or in situations of extreme agility. A final comment: if you have two bodies, one right and one FF with 24 and 40 you have a high-end pairing and you do pretty much everything because the multiplication ratio of the focals allows you to go from 24 to a 64.

canon_70-210f4Canon EF 70-210mm f/4

Pros: Color saturation, blurry, robust mechanical construction

Cons: Sharpening to 210, autofocus not very fast

Opinion: I purchased used this lens as new at 40 euros. The premise is fundamental because I didn't expect anything exaggerated from this object other than a good feature. Instead I had to think again and enjoyed the weight money. Up to 150 focal goes to the great with a sharpness even at a really good opening. The blurry is splendid and you make really quality portraits. One thing I love about this lens is color saturation. The definition is of the details is excellent and the only flaw is the loss of sharpness towards the maximum focals that is improved by diaphragm towards 8 or 11. Behaviors however typical of this type of objectives. I did not perceive flare effects in backlights and chromatic aberrations. Let me say that if you have to take pictures of subjects in strong movement or sports scenes it is not the right article but if you take it to the mountains or take portraits of your child it is instead what is right for you because it does not weigh a lot and is sufficiently manageable. In the end the vote is full and if you happen used put well buy it because you will not have disappointments for 40 or 50 euros ......

canon_10dCanon 10D

Pros: Used price, as essential as the machines of the past

Cons: Small screen, incompatibility with EF-S optics

Opinion: I jokingly bought this used body at 100 Euros more out of desire and curiosity than anything else. I mounted the 70-210 f4 and started taking pictures of my son in the yard setting 100ISO and burst shutter. I was immediately impressed by the reaction of the machine, the saturation of colors and the 'handling' and simplicity of operation. The 6mpx sensor goes great and if you don't have the obsession with having super dense sensors you get excellent photos with a beautiful blurry effect. The colors are full and the contrast marked. If you find it as new buy it because for 80 or 100 euros it is a really nice toy. Ahhhhh: it is so easy to use that you do not need instructions and this is not trivial...... I have machines that before using them you have to study whole evenings
