Pros: Easy to use and consistent results are always obtained and above expectations.

Cons: Considering his age, absolutely nothing

Opinion: The EOS 450D uses a simple and consistent menu system. It allows an impressive choice of eight different image qualities. Use SD memory cards instead of compact flash. The boot time is very fast for about 1 second. The tried-and-tested focusing system is incredibly fast, with 9 wide-coverage points. Focusing is also easy indoors and in low-light situations, especially through the center point. Writing files is fast even for a JPEG at the highest quality setting. The 3-inch LCD screen offers a very good and bright view of images while only having 230,000 pixels. The viewfinder is a pleasure and displays all the key exposure information, including ISO speed. The quality of the RAW is impressive and the writing is just as fast. Adjusting the ISO setting to one of the five positions from 100 to 1600 is more than adequate for most lighting conditions. The choice not to allow ISO higher than 1600 has, however, generated the doubt, in some users, of a poor resistance to high ISO. This is not true at all, as the image quality is excellent and is almost completely noise-free even at ISO 1600, especially when activating NR. Furthermore, working in RAW, you get files with a high processing flexibility which, in post production, allow a further reduction in noise, especially for luminance, so as to make it possible to underexpose up to three stops without even an appreciable loss of definition. This testifies to a great quality of the sensor and a very appreciable noise resistance. In conclusion, the EOS 450D, even in 2025, is a high-performance camera, moreover being at incredibly low prices. I wanted to buy one, just out of curiosity, having found it at a ridiculously low price and I was very favorably impressed. I also had the EOS 30d and 40D but, in my opinion, they were particularly heavy, more complicated, although more professional and did not have the viewfinder, the consistency of behavior or even the noise resistance of the EOS 450D. Highly recommended!!

Pros: Excellent training ship for those who learn, ease of use, battery life, endless optics

Cons: It is an entry level machine and with almost twenty years on its back, the cons are the limits inherent in this definition

Opinion: I am very attached to the 450D because it was my first "serious" digital camera that I had after many years with compacts. Net of the sentimental value, it is obvious that today this car has many limitations related to both the type - it was an entry level - and the age of the project. With all that entails: limited ISO sensitivity, few megapixels (but it's a fairly relative problem, at least you learn to compose without resorting to the evil "art of cropping"), tendency to digital noise already marked at relatively low sensitivities. But, even here, for those who have to learn from scratch, even those who care. On the second-hand market it is really cheap and for those who are taking their very first steps in the world of photography it is still a lot of fun to use and learn without spending a fortune. In addition, the EF mount gives access to an endless amount of lenses of all types, ranges and focal lengths to draw from. The batteries also have a long life. I still have mine, even if I don't use it anymore. There are memories of my first photographic raids in high school and a couple of times I lent it to friends who wanted to experience the thrill of shooting. Highly recommended!

Pros: Lightweight, portability, resistance, battery life.

Cons: Display resolution, noise at low iso.

Opinion: My first SLR, for her I can only spend nice words. It was a bomb, very resistant to everything, I took it with me around the world and it would still be working great if they hadn't stolen it from me. 'Shut up them. In doing the timelapse I had found a second life, the mpx contained allowed me not to overload the memory and still guarantee me 4k video. The files he returned were very nice, with the 10-22 Canon then, they were superb. Infinite battery, I got to 1000 shots and still it was not completely discharged. It suffered from noise at relatively low iso, already at 800 there was grain. If you are a novice, my advice, given the low cost and given the infinite Canon optical park available, is to take it with your eyes closed. It is the right way to learn.

Pros: Lightness, ease of use, large display, used price, compactness

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I state that I bought this used machine for 90 euros with 2000 shots as new and with its original packaging. The machine is very nice and easy to use. It has nothing to envy to other much more expensive bodies in terms of functionality. Maybe at the high ISO it grains a little bit but all in all it is an acceptable situation. Today with 90 euros you can not even buy a compact entry level ...... Those who say that it is plasticona may also be right but it is always a reflex that bought used costs almost nothing. My vote for what was my purchase is full. If I had paid EUR 300 for it, I would have expressed myself differently. Used at the price I paid I take it with my eyes closed.

Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, convenient control arrangement

Cons: For me no cons

Opinion: I am the proud owner of this machine since 2009, he has accompanied me in all my travels and especially during my aeronautical photography sessions (which is my passion), despite having about 130000 shots to his credit the machine still performs excellently well. The original battery still assures me at least 600 shots today. I equipped it some time ago with a battery grip with a second battery (not original) that extends its life and improves its ergonomics. I would say that although it is not performing like the latest models, the machine still assures me a lot of satisfaction. Definitely a great choice at a low price for those approaching photography.
