Viltrox AF 16mm f/1.8 Pros: Price, excellent image rendering, apertures. Cons: Lens hood, backlit focus, aperture ring. Opinion: On Sunday I finally put the 16mm 1.8 to the test after a long time on my Nikon Z5II using it for portraits in a villa. The rendering of the photos is very good, nice sharp, I am satisfied. I'm not one to look too much at vignetting and hair preciousness. The focus suffered a bit in backlight, with the subject in the dark and a bright background, which the Nikon Z35mm 1.4 did not suffer (same situation, I only changed lenses). The lens hood has a magnetic attachment, it does not have a joint, it comes off more easily than others. The aperture ring put there is aesthetically vintage, but by making a lot of lens changes quickly, you end up turning it every time you mount it. For me it is uncomfortable. All in all I'm very satisfied, also considering that I bought it with black friday at 20% off. sent on 24 Febbraio 2026 |

Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Pros: All-rounder focal range, good sharpness, compactness Cons: It is not f2.8 Opinion: The ideal focal length for travel, with excellent quality, and with the right weight. The aperture at f4 is not a big disadvantage, the only flaw I gave it is not being 2.8 but just to find one. Compared to the AF-S series, it is much superior. I have always been happy with this focal length, both on apsc (18-105) and on full frame. I don't understand why they made the 24/70 f4?!?!! Jokes aside, if you don't go on a safari where a supertelephoto is recommended, it may be the only lens to take on a trip. sent on 26 Gennaio 2026 |

Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S Pros: Small size, excellent sharpness for the product. Cons: It's not a 2.8 Opinion: I call it an excellent all-rounder, ideal for travel, and landscape. It is compact and light, and in my opinion the fact that it extrudes is an advantage rather than a negative aspect. For those who take portraits like me, who often need more aperture because you shoot in low light, the f4s are narrow. The sharpness is still excellent. sent on 27 Ottobre 2025 |

Nikon Z5 II Pros: Features/price ratio, stabilized sensor, autofocus and tracking functions Cons: Viewfinder sensor gives a bit of a nuisance Opinion: I come from a D750, and when I saw the offer of the Z5 II on Nital at 1700€ I didn't wait for anything else and I bought it. For now I'm using all F lenses with adapter and I can't find any loss of quality. The stabilized sensor is a lot of stuff, I gained two stops handheld, the autofocus and subject tracking functions work great (I have almost zero photos out of focus). The only flaw is the viewfinder sensor, which as soon as you pass by it activates, on the tripod it can be annoying (oh god everything is gone, ah no it's back, oh no it's gone again...). For me they have made an excellent product at an exceptional price. sent on 16 Settembre 2025 |
