![]() | Nikon AF 20mm f/2.8 D Pros: Economic optics and low weight Cons: Detail loss at the edges Opinion: I confirm the views of the forumers expressed above. The positives are essentially the low cost and especially lightness and clutter for an optics that however closed diaphragms returns a very good result (around f/5.6). Below it loses detail especially on the sides. Good colors very natural and warm but in my opinion less rich than 50 f/1.4D sent on June 16, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR Pros: Large focal excursion that allows you to be very versatile Cons: Absolutely dark Opinion: A lens that attracts for its enormous versatility: you can go from a wide angle 16mm to a almost 85mm canvas, which allows once inserted in the car not to take it off so easily. But in the end, its value becomes its flaw: it does not excel in much, it is more practical than performing, it does not have a particular yield and is decidedly dark. Finally it's quite heavy, which doesn't help. sent on June 05, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF 50mm f/1.4 D Pros: Brightness, lightness Cons: Heavy overexposure at least 2 stops Opinion: A lens that you should have in your kit: affordable price, extreme lightness and small size. All combined with a typical D-series rendering, pasty, warm colors, always rich shades, deep shadows, sense of three-dimensionality. As previously written, it tends to overexpane quite clearly, at least a couple of stops which can be a problem when changing different goals in succession and speed. But the final yield is undoubtedly very good overall: decent up to f2.8 excellent from 5.6 up. sent on June 04, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8G Pros: Brightness Cons: Excess contrast/detail Opinion: Definitely an excellent lens, light, bright, precise. The AF is fast and responds promptly to the stresses. Its downsides actually stick more to the world of taste than to flaws in and of itself: for the final yield I love the objectives of the D series that - certainly less detailed and ultra-contrastated - give a different image pleasantness, softer and close to reality. This lens is sharp especially from 5.6 up but the contrast so sharp, the details so meticulous, the shadows so sharp, give the whole a feeling of great accuracy but little feeling. But these are personal tastes precisely that do not affect the excellent judgment on the technical side. sent on June 04, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF 180mm f/2.8 D ED IF Pros: Detail, colors, content weight Cons: No one in particular Opinion: Amazing optics: warm colors typical of the D series, depth, natural rendering. The detail especially from f5.6 is very defined but without the exaggerations typical of the most modern optics (see G series). Shadows and clear-cut passages that give the shot an atmosphere never trivial. Good brightness that allows you to shoot even freehand. An optics that don't betray. Must have. sent on June 04, 2020 |
