fujifilm_16-55_f2-8wrFujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR

Pros: Robust, crisp and great AF

Cons: 16 mm distortion, plastic lampshed

Opinion: I use it mainly for work, on the go I prefer the 18-55 because it is lighter and more comfortable even if it is not comparable. For concerts and events I use it constantly and it is very reliable, it is one of those optics that gives you safety. The AF is quiet and it's very good even on x-t1 on x-t2 and x-t3 on single AF is a sniper. I also like the chromatic rendering and when I have to photograph the actors during make up it also makes a great blur so it makes it a lens on which a professional can rely for a moment and for the price it costs it is a bargain. I come from nikon's 24-70 2.8 which is a fantastic lens, and that doesn't make me regret it. In fact, since it weighs almost half, I'd say I'd never go back. I also like how it makes at 2.8 I don't see visible flaws on the image. The only thing is that it's not an optics to do architecture because it distorts exactly like nikon's 24-70, but they're optics born to do something else and so a professional knows it. I personally always carry with me the 14 2.8 because for the photos where I want the straight lines I mount on the 14th which is a show! Ultimately, professional optics in every respect, a tank, mounted on an x-t2 with grip you can really go to war.

fujifilm_16-50ois_iiFujifilm XC 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS II

Pros: Lightweight, fast, crisp AF in standard light situations. Used price gifted

Cons: Made of plastic like toy cameras. Bad plastic bayonet to handle with care.

Opinion: If you overcome the rock of construction in bad plastic, for what it costs it is a real bargain. It's really sharp between f5.6 and f11. It has a very fast and quiet autofocus. It weighs so little that you feel like you haven't attached anything to the car. With light sources in the frame or just outside the edges it's bad, with crazy flares. They are so intrusive that if you want you can use them to compose surreal photos. The absence of the diaphragm ring is not a problem because you manage it with the wheel. It is fantastic to take on holiday, coupled with the 50-230 you are very light and bring home good photos. Paired with the xt-10 I also had some landscape photos selected for public exhibitions, in the middle of most of the photos taken with nikon, canon and sony flagships. This testifies that the beautiful photos are in the photographer's head and not in the metrics and cameras. Having said that, I normally prefer to go out with 18-55 because it's a little brighter and contruded well. Let's say that to take him on the exits of several days when you are already overloaded with other things I highly recommend it. I hold it tight and if it were to break I would buy it back right away

nikon_24-70g_f2-8Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED

Pros: Sharpness, colors, AF

Cons: Weight

Opinion: After years of using Fujifilm for total use, I took this aim from my father's kit since he was undoing it. I attached it to my D610 that I had not yet sold and I was impressed by the optical quality. I can't find a real flaw. Maybe the only thing I don't like is the intrusive flare in the backlight photos even without having the sun directly in the frame. The vividness of the colors is magnificent and very natural. You have to pay a little attention to 24mm if you have architectural components in the image I have the impression that it distorts a bit but clearly it is not a defect since it is not born for that. The moral is that now I can't help it in the exits and after years of light outings with Fuji I put the big backpack on my shoulders to carry this jewel, as long as my shoulders hold. Although The 16-55 Fuji is an accelerating lens, this nikon lens in my opinion on a full frame sensor does a little bit more that makes me prefer in general for travel photos or reportage. Going home and looking at the photos taken with this optics is really a pleasure. On the wide angular side I'll like the 20mm f1.8 (even he hadn't had the courage to sell it yet) to have more field and for all those cases where the photos need strictly straight lines

fujifilm_xt1Fujifilm X-T1

Pros: Great electronic viewfinder. Great jpeg and raw files. Great iso estate up to 3200. Good ergonomics of the commands and very useful quick menu. Many customizable function keys

Cons: Battery life, bad. Gust and insufficient buffer. Good focus but insufficient for scopes with fast moving subjects, sport type. At 6400 ISO the yield is bad and the files difficult to use.

Opinion: I had bought it as a second machine to accompany the Nikon D610, especially for the compactness and for the electronic shutter. In fact, it immediately became the first choice for almost all activities. Particularly when I work for classical music concerts where working conditions are very difficult, for little light and need to be silent it turned out to be an excellent instrument. I shoot quietly up to 3200 ISO which with proper exposure makes excellent photos with well-controlled noise and above all fantastic colors. The automatic white balance is not foolproof but good and in case easily corrected in Post. The greatest value for those who work on events where you take hundreds of photos is that the jpgs are already almost ready and the post-production work is reduced to a few corrections directly on the JPGs. The use a lot also for street and urban photos and works great even if it is a bit slow and sometimes if you do not anticipate the photo you risk losing it. Coupled with the 50-140 and the 16-55 can also be used in some professional areas, the photos are very popular with customers and I often deliver directly the jpg that has churned out the machine with two touches on tones and color. Definitely from the X-T2 onwards all aspects have been improved but for my work on the concerts the X-T1 I prefer because at 3200 iso contains better noise, the files are still three-dimensional and the colors are still of excellent paste, and therefore I continue to use it. For landscape photos, however, I continue to use the D610 because the files are much more detailed and especially the yield on the greens and blue I prefer it much to Fuji. At the end of six years of its release I still can't completely separate it from it.
