Due anni dopo ho ricavato in un angolo della cantina di casa la mia prima camera oscura e in quegli anni "analogici" ho sempre prediletto il B&W (anche perché più economico). Il lavoro di Ricercatore che ho intrapreso dopo la laurea mi ha portato per decenni lontano dall'Italia e per tutto quel tempo ho fotografato poco, a causa della frenesia dello studio e del lavoro. Negli ultimi 8-10 anni, rientrato in Italia e sfruttando la saggezza maturata con l'età, ho ricominciato a fotografare ogni volta che ho la possibilità di farlo, usando qualunque apparecchio, dalle punta-e-scatta alla mia EOS 80D, passando per gli smartphones. Nonostante ami molto i colori, ho continuato a convertire una discreta percentuale di foto in B&W, un po' per nostalgia, un po' per devianza mentale... Sono qui per imparare.
I'm not a professional in this field, but a photographer by passion; I started at 12 yrs.and the first camera was my father's Rolleiflex 6x6. Two years later I made up my first darkroom in a corner of the cellar and in those "analog" years I always preferred B&W (also because it was cheaper). The work of Researcher that I started after graduation took me for decades away from Italy, and for all that time I photographed little, due to the frenzy of study and work. In the last 8-10 years, back in Italy and taking advantage of the wisdom gained with age, I started to take pictures every time I have the chance to do it, using any device, from point-and-shoot cameras to my EOS 80D, passing through the smartphones.
