![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 12-24mm f/4 G ED Pros: optics that give excellent results on any sensor you put behind them. It never disappoints! Cons: not knowing its potential, it is used as a limiting one (if it is used only on aps-C sensors) Opinion: often used, repurchased 3 times (first for Nikon D2xs, then for D800, now for Lumix G9. It renders fantastically on DX and even better on FX (in the right focal lengths otherwise it would vignette). Excellent with adapter on micro 4/3 machines (I use it with great satisfaction with Lumix G9 where it is practically like having a 20-35). It holds up well against the light despite 21 years of age, excellent contrast and resolution already at TA. ... Nikon knew how to make lenses once! sent on November 07, 2024 |
![]() | Nikon D810 Pros: All Cons: nothing Opinion: Its limits can only come out if you do not know how to use it. Machines of this type are for experienced people. Great for us everything. Detail, quality, ISO tightness (you can push it very well over 6400 with no loss, like the D800 that churns out excellent files up to 3200 and beyond), operating speed, durability over time, etc ... I come from an infinite number of professional machines and I must say that despite the technical improvements there is always the same fantastic feeling. sent on February 22, 2023 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G Pros: Exceptional! Formidable and excellent blur made already from 1.8 Cons: made in china Opinion: after trying a myriad of 50ini, both vintage AI/AI-S, E series, AF/AF-D, AF-S and all both f1.4 and f1.8 I can draw only one conclusion: STRATOSFERICO! First of all it weighs more than the brother f1.8, has 9 slats and in blurring the difference you see (brother f1.8 in certain situations has a more nervous blur). At 1.4 he detaches the planes in a fabulous way. nl I found very sharp at f 1.4, deadly from f 1.8/ f 2 on D800e (at 36 mpx) the rest are bar chatter and the tests are not worth a stump... only those who do not know how to use a full optics can pull out negative comments. sent on March 19, 2020 |
