![]() | Fujifilm GFX100RF Pros: light and portable , image quality, pleasure to use Cons: not the Hasselblad colours Opinion: I bought this camera because I miss my XPAN Hasselblad , the pano mode was just exceptional and that camera was my most used in the analog age¨the new Fuji is absolutely usable as a portable , carry always light camera and the image quality is very good. I use normal an XCD 2 Hasselblad, and I tried to compare. The Hasselblad has the advantage of changing lenses and the new lenses, 45,28 and 55 are very compact, although not the quality of their 80 or 30 or 21 older lenses. I do not like the film simulation in the Fuji, Best used with simple Raw and then adaptive colour in Lightroom, gives me the best results. yes I miss the IBIS , but F4 is no problem as I do mainly Landscape. so I take this Fuji everywhere with me, always in Pano XPAN mode and I do not regret. sent on September 01, 2025 |
![]() | Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8 Pros: it is something different Cons: maybe a little heavy for f2,8 Opinion: I use this lens with Sony mount on my Nikons z (7 and Ff) , adapter Megadap and it works with full satisfaction. It was the choice between the 70-180 , the 70-200 and this one, I own a Zeiss 135 manual f2 and it was the best glass I ever used, now i appreciate AF and finally I decided to give this Batis chance with an adapter. Bought used for half price and I can only say it surpasses my expectations . The Megadap opens Nikon Z for Zeiss AF and the results are impressive, I now look to find the 18 mm used, also from Zeiss. Concerning the results it is difficult to articulate what is the difference between this glass and let's say Nikon . the 80-200 was simply too heavy and Nikon S lenses are perfect , sharp clean etc, but this Zeiss brings in something more something like how I wanted the picture to look when I took it. Maybe this is not objective or in no way a scientific review, but I use Hasselblad XD, Nikon and Olympus systems and this Zeiss lens on Nikon Zf has quickly become one of my favorites, I would compare the results ( if I may say the way a photo speaks to me) with the Hasselblad xd 80mm witch is outstanding and as expensive. my advice to Nikon users: try it sent on January 11, 2025 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M1 III Pros: all you need and more Cons: limits of the small sensor in 1% of the fotos Opinion: I use Nikon ff, Olympus and Hasselblad cameras. The Hasselblad files are miles better then the other, and ideal if you do fotos of 1m x 1m and more, I recently did a Fotobook with pictures of my grand son , I just choose the best from last year and reviewing the book (A3) , I can not tell which one is made with what camera. At this size there is no difference. when I show the book to other people, they practically all find 2 fotos better then others, one done with Nikon ff and a Jupiter 44-1 58mm found on eBay for a few € and the other with a Hasselblad XD 80mm. For the rest, the Olympus does a fantastic job. The first difference in landscape photography is what you are ready to carry around, you can take the Olympus with a 12-40mm, put the extraordinary 8mm in your pocket left and the wonderful 75 mm in the other and you go practically for every situation without needing to find a specialist for reeducation of your back after the trip. Of course, their are limits, described in other posts here , limits in comparing the output by sensor size, but 1. you can compensate a lot of these with software and 2. do you really need that for 99% of your images? It makes me think of a lecture I once heard in business school: "when is enough enough?" . I practically do not use anymore the Nikon Z, which is certainly a very nice camera, I take the Hasselblad for critical landscape work and for the rest I enjoy my Olympus, newly with the outstanding 15-400mm. sent on December 21, 2021 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko 150-400mm f/4.5 TC1.25x IS Pro Pros: light, sharp, quick, a game changer Cons: price Opinion: a fantastic lens ! the combination with the new cameras makes a completely new experience possible, most of the tome you can do pictures handheld, and for the rest you do not need a heavy tripod. what astonishes me most is that I get pictures with the system that are better then before with full frame and lenses whiting 3x times more and costing 2x more- I changed to Olympus because the best camera - lens si the system you have with you, or you can carry, and for a very practical experience when Nikon charge me over 700€ for a service on a 200-400 F4 lens I used all in all just 3 times and in good conditions- I do not regret. sent on September 27, 2021 |
![]() | Hasselblad XCD 120mm f/3.5 Macro Pros: outstanding portrait lens, impressive sharpness Cons: slow to focus Opinion: this is an outstanding portrait lens, fotos give that "wow" effect, the sharpness is wonderful, in macro work it is difficult when I compare with the ease I can take macro pictures with Olympus or Nikon equipment, and it is not 1:1, but I found that I can increase magnification with a 77mm macro app lens. I did not yet use it in this combination, but test images were more then satisfactory. I like this lens as a versatile small tele to walk around in the nature and to do portraits. sent on December 04, 2020 |
