![]() | Canon 1Ds Mark III Pros: Indestructible, ergonomic, sumptuous rows, infinite battery. Cons: Heavy, dated, bad screen Opinion: I owned it for two years and I'm a bit nostalgic for the files it produced. Special. A color and a depth never found again. It is a dated and really heavy body, but for some uses such as portraits and landscapes it can still have its say. If you find a used at a bargain price you take home a piece of history. It is a vintage machine for connoisseurs. sent on August 23, 2022 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M1 III Pros: Ergonomics, operating speed, freehand hd shooting, nd filters in the car, pro Capture improved Cons: Viewfinder, high ISO (grain), no animal recognition Opinion: I had the Em-1 mkI, mkII, mkIII and, after a year of heavy use, I can say that the transition from II to III is justified. The machine has a higher overall speed than the II and the Af-C works better. Interesting Nd filters in the car. I used freehand hd shooting a few times and, although with some limitations it works well. I noticed an improvement in the shadows while the noise at high ISO seems to have a coarser grain. In normal light conditions it is a pleasure to use this machine. The pro Capture is improved and usable with Panasonic lenses (only the fixed focus type) and with Olympus optics (also the continuous focus type). Interesting is the Af star for shooting the starry sky. The only bottleneck, the viewfinder that is not up to par. It lacks the recognition of animals which would be quite useful. The purchase is justified if you want a modern, fast and comfortable machine and if you can not afford the OM-1. sent on July 02, 2022 |
![]() | Panasonic Leica 100-400mm f/4.0-6.3 ASPH OIS Pros: Compact, sharp, stabilizer ok, multipurpose Cons: Hard rings, non-constant quality Opinion: I've been using this lens for five years, first on the Olympus em-1 MkI, then MkII and now on the MkIII. It's my favorite work tool. Generally it goes very well, with good sharpness, fast autofocus, stabilizer at the height making defined photos with remarkable colors. Sometimes there are days when he doesn't want to know about pulling out decent photos, with any setting. It is an optics that are not easy to use. I got used to it and, indeed, I must say that with the latest firmware the autofocus on mkIII seems even improved. The lens allowed me to make even small reports for the local newspaper returning photos, even in the foreground, very convincing. The brightness is clearly not top not and with the m4/3 in the woods it is difficult, but I repeat you know and get used to it. It is not bad in macro where, if used well, it also returns very pleasant backgrounds. sent on May 28, 2022 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Pros: Usability, really sharp, construction Cons: Nobody Opinion: In my personal rankings is the best lens I have and I keep happily using it. It's a pleasure to handle it with my em-1 with which you can safely achieve professional results. The focal range is great and can not be excluded as a macro. I would definitely recommend it. sent on September 15, 2017 |
![]() | Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Pros: optical affordable, excellent usability, more than good sharpness, effective stabilizer Cons: useless limiter, some particle of dust of too Opinion: And 'the second copy that purchase. I must say that the last series is different from the first. The stabilizer is improved and it seems that the metal parts are improved (the tripod mount is sverniciava in the first series). Compatibility with the canon 7d mkII is beautiful. Fast and accurate. It should be closed to f8 on 600 mm morbido.rnTrovo slightly because the quality / very high price. The weight (which is why I got a second one) allows a hand held (not all day ..) rnNon is faced with more efficient optics such as L fixed, but it is a goal to have if interested in the long focal . sent on July 19, 2016 |
