![]() | Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art Pros: Sharpness Cons: autofocus with sony A7RV in all its sauces even in manual Opinion: I've been using it for a year now with a Sony A7RV. I would say that the merits of this lens are mostly the sharpness. The AF is not the best and the manual focus ring is not very accurate. To be clear, manual zeiss optics from 15 years ago are a completely different story in terms of precision. Manual aperture ring too soft several times I found myself with the aperture that was not the one I had set. Very clear detachment between subject and blur that can be liked according to taste. I don't know if I would buy it again but as always the sigmas do their homework in a clever way. sent on April 03, 2024 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T3 Pros: Construction, fujifilm philosophy, menu, functions, sensor, film simulations Cons: Battery life, non-backlit buttons Opinion: The use for landscape and portrait photography. Immediately despite always being used to having FF machines I realized that the x-trans apsc sensor has an extra gear in terms of color fidelity and grain type very similar to film. Also excellent dynamic range despite the format. Accustomed to another system I immediately see how well Fujifilm has worked for menus, user interface, film simulations (fantastic), totally external rings / controls without the need to complicate life, as lately happens to come across other competitors, for some mental of some engineer who probably had a difficult childhood. Summing up a camera designed by photographers. sent on November 01, 2020 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Pros: construction, autofocus, tropicalized. Cons: MAF ring a little too soft. Opinion: Honest optics but still kit not to be stabilized and built really well. sticker a little, I recommend leaving the corrections active in the car if it is annoying. I see it as a handyman's lens suitable for amateur photos who want to take it on the road or for even mountain trips. Combined with xt3 for portrait I see it a little too soft despite the stabilizer and af are excellent. sent on November 01, 2020 |
![]() | Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: spectacular already at f1.4, quality and general yield, sharpness, excellent construction Cons: lid and paraluce outrageous goal Opinion: I've been using it on Sony A7RIII in the studio for about 6 months. I think it's the ultimate portrait lens, disarming sharpness already at full aperture, zero flare, zero chromatic trees, spectacular MAF dial. Af on Sony very good thanks also to firmware updates from Sigma! One of those lenses that I would buy with my eyes closed, if I can give advice to Sigma; The next version I would like to conder diaframmi on the lens as the 35mm f1.2 ART sent on May 09, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon D500 Pros: AF, Gust, external and backlit controls, buffer, Body Robustness, menu. Cons: Support of updates from the parent company, bayo attack "playful", touch screen not compete, AF in Live View panic, Italian price, WB, consistent loss over 1600 iso, optimization sw, live view drinks like an aircraft carrier. Opinion: Honestly after owning it for more than a year I thought better given the name... Good machine in the aspect of technical features, intended for a very sporty lens and for photo hunting... Live view slow, outrageous that sucks battery like an aircraft carrier! It could do much more if only there had been a more adequate optimization between machine/lens and sensor sw. From the best of itself with lenses equal to or greater than the 300mm f2.8 nikon, at the bottom staying at home the game is not worth the candle very often even with third-party lenses. Its main strengths are AF, XQD, Buffer. sent on May 04, 2020 |
![]() | Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Pros: Sharpness, AF, image quality, stabilizer, three-dimensionality Cons: Moped af sometimes mosquito Opinion: One of the best canvases I've ever bought! I waited a long time in making it hesitant after the bad experience with the competition! I can say that if I could buy it back 10 times... Fantastic lens under the sharpness, AF speed, versatility and image quality... Nothing to do with the 70-200 f2.8 of a well-known historical "yellow" brand that compares it to Sony seems embarrassing even in the price aspect. 100% satisfied sent on January 02, 2020 |
![]() | Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8 Pros: Sharp, compact, light, AF, distortion, Zeiss colors, the classic lens that will stay for life Cons: a soft coat at TA, there is some lag between lens and machine on the values displayed when you go to manual AF, a little difraction after f11 Opinion: I was looking for a wide optics for my A7RIII and in the end after evaluating a lot, I bought this... I was immediately impressed to feel the lightness and to see its fantastic sharpness. It occupies a small space inside any backpack favored even by its weight practically compared to zero, in my opinion an extraordinary lens even for all these factors. This does not detract from the fact that on A7RIII the image takes a fantastic mood typically zeiss. I don't feel like taking it off anymore! sent on September 08, 2019 |
![]() | Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Pros: Construction, sharpness, bokeh, price Cons: AF that sometimes struggles Opinion: Macro optics very beautiful especially for its sharpness and bokeh... Quality construction, cute the case that comes along with the lens! On A7RIII the AF dances and fatigues very in low light situations and even in normal conditions sometimes from some boredom... What anyway that Sony could fix with a firmware update... Otherwise nothing to say! Perhaps the most underrated lens of the Sony kit along with the 100mm always sony, really great even for portraits! sent on September 08, 2019 |
![]() | Sony A7r III Pros: Iso hold, fantastic sensor, Sw 3.0, command customization, Af, 10FPS, Double SD slots (not discounted these days). Cons: lack of illuminated back buttons, lack of internal program for focus bracketing, lack external controls as on A9, thought by engineers and not photographers and this those who grind us notice. Opinion: I've been using this machine with satisfaction for a few months, top portability, top third-party lenses, awesome dynamic range. I was really surprised by its excellent sensor that despite being very dense with mpx is extremely excellent even at high sensitivity. The Afc works really well, a little slow the AFS. Fully customizable keys which makes up for some shortcomings in its own way. The battery life is also very good. sent on April 12, 2019 |
