Pros: Sharpness, contrast, bokeh, color, weather sealing, 1:1 magnification

Cons: A clutch for manual focus would be nice

Opinion: This is not only the sharpest lens I have ever used, but it also is nearly APO (the minimal color fringing is blue/yellow and very hard to detect), and has wonderful rendering. It works well outside of the macro range too. The autofocus is quick and accurate. It is sharper and has better contrast wide open than my other macro lenses do stopped down. The only advantage of the Sony 90G is the manual focus mode. Otherwise this Sigma beats it and every other macro lens I have used.

Pros: Amazing Sharpness , Weight and Size , Well Structure , weather sealing

Cons: AF-C

Opinion: AF-C some times not reliability but better than many macro lenses in marketThe best sharpness I have ever seen from wide aperture corner to corner!I really like this lens, in my opinion it is the best macro lens I have owned in my 13 years of photographyI would have liked the focus ring to be mechanical like DSLR lenses... Because I have a better sense of macro photography than mechanical rings

Pros: Sharpness

Cons: autofocus with sony A7RV in all its sauces even in manual

Opinion: I've been using it for a year now with a Sony A7RV. I would say that the merits of this lens are mostly the sharpness. The AF is not the best and the manual focus ring is not very accurate. To be clear, manual zeiss optics from 15 years ago are a completely different story in terms of precision. Manual aperture ring too soft several times I found myself with the aperture that was not the one I had set. Very clear detachment between subject and blur that can be liked according to taste. I don't know if I would buy it again but as always the sigmas do their homework in a clever way.

Pros: Literally fantastic!!!

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I've had so many lenses both Canon, Nikon, Tamron, Sigma, but this macro lens is great. Until the time of purchase and the first shots with this Sigma lens, I considered the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM the top in terms of sharpness and contrast... well, this surpasses it. I've read someone complaining about AF, but to be a macro, in my view it's perfect. Carefully built, with many function keys and beautiful diaphragm ring, lightweight, but transmitting a feeling of solidity... honestly I highly recommend the purchase, even for areas other than those for which it was made ... I also use it for glimpses of landscapes and for portraits ... but of course it is certainly not suitable for making "very" dynamic sports photos.

Pros: Absolute image quality, construction, precision maf in af-s, cost.

Cons: Autofocus in af-c

Opinion: Configuration: optics with fw 1.1 used on Panasonic S1 body with fw 1.7 (April 2021). The image quality is excellent without the need for any SW correction. Excellent ergonomics: it is perfectly balanced on a body as heavy as the S1. Complete control equipment: from the diaphragm ring with block and decliccable, to the programmable function button, to the switch with the 3 maf ranges. The maf ring while being 'drive by wire' provides a pasty and precise response. Physical construction prioritizes maf accuracy over its speed. Only relevant defect: in af-c it shows not full compatibility with Panasonic DFD, showing those annoying micro fluctuations that also had Pana optics before firmware 1.6 (and later); I do not know how much this problem can be solved by one of the two players of the consortium (Sigma or Pana) with a firmware, but at the moment for some fields of use it can be an operational limit.
