![]() | Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS Pros: Compactness, Image Quality, AF Speed Cons: A few flares and moiré effect at very high ISO on a6600 Opinion: Taken in place of the 55-210, the lens is well built and exceptionally compact when compared with the new SIGMA 100-400mm with which it does not disfigure at all, but rather... The AF on a6600 is very responsive and accurate, the images are surprisingly sharp. Some flare effects in certain situations and a certain moirè effect, at very high iso have been found. For the rest a surprising lens, with AF/MF keys, On/OF Stabilizer and the programmable G key on the barrel that allow a light setup freeing the other programmable keys of the body. The stabilizer works very well, I managed to take freehand a photo of THURSDAY at 350mm with a time of 1/15s in which it was possible to solve the 4 Galilean satellites with a relatively firm image. I had also tried the Sigma 100-400mm, but on APS-C there is no history for usability (it weighs almost twice as much as it has a much more generous size) and for the quality shown on all comparable focal points. sent on July 28, 2020 |
![]() | Manfrotto XPRO 3W Pros: Very robust, pleasant to the touch, rather precise, very useful bubbles. Cons: Some finish can be improved, some limitation on Zenith tilt. Opinion: Bought in bundle to the excellent tripoide MT055XPRO3, on balance is coming about €100. It does not have the mobility of a ball head or the precision of a 3-way rack, but it fits exactly in the middle. Use it with profit and satisfaction and the knobs do their job without presenting the flaws complained in the other reviews. Goodness is observed with very heavy equipment, what matters most. ![]() | Sony E 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS Pros: Lightweight, compact, stabilized, Autofocus, unrivalled price-quality ratio, good construction Cons: All the limits of an economical tele, not motorized. Opinion: I do not understand the judgements too strict for a tele with these characteristics considering that you take it home to about €220 with warranty Sony Italy. What would be the alternative in that price range? I had a a6000 (recently reworked with a 6300) and the lens was part of the kit together with the 16-50mm. I can affirm that it represented the main objective by detecting almost a handyman... At 210mm the full moon test discreetly exceeds it, as are discrete portraits with focal lengths around 100mm with a good yield also of the blurred. Unnecessary comparisons with lenses that cost 5 or 10 times as much, we talk about other things. In good light conditions returns good satisfactions once learned what are its obvious limits, maybe you have to consider that a Sony alpha 6000/6300 push it to 1000 ISO, which in certain conditions are many, without introducing any noise and that The fact that it's stabilized makes you go up, just as long as shutter time.
