![]() | Pentax SMC FA* 300mm f/4.5 ED IF Pros: Excellent image quality and reliability Cons: Size and Weight Opinion: Despite being an outdated, 90s lens, it continues to offer excellent performance, especially in combination with the PENTAX-DA HD 1.4x AW AF converter. I bought it used for this very reason, and I can confirm that it is a winning combination. Its reliability is indisputable, and the quality of the images it manages to capture is truly remarkable. Unlike the 55-300 HD PLM, which is significantly lower when used with the same multiplier. While the size and weight can be a minor drawback, anyone who decides to go out for a photo session with a 300mm knows what to expect in terms of portability. Ultimately, a lens that proves to live up to expectations, despite its age sent on August 21, 2024 |
![]() | Pentax HD DA 40mm f/2.8 Limited Pros: Excellent replacement (in my humble opinion) of the HD PENTAX-D FA 50mm F1.4. Very light and very performing Cons: Screw lens cap (size of one tablet) Opinion: It is an exceptional lens for portraits. Starting from the merits, the compact dimensions (almost invisible) are certainly the strong point, in such a little thickness an exceptional quality. It allows you to focus closely on the subject and the thing that convinced me most was the ease in selectivity in focusing at f / 2.8 of the eyes in the portrait keeping the parts blurred on different planes obtaining a wonderful effect that I had not found in other lenses. Bokeh is not the best, but it is not to be used for this feature. A sore point? The screw lens cap looks like a tablet or a button.... easily can be lost :-) sent on September 28, 2021 |
![]() | Pentax SMC DA 15mm f/4 ED AL Limited Pros: Size, Metal barrel, vintage recall screw cap, excellent photo quality. Cons: So far I haven't found "cons" Opinion: Taken used, I was immediately bewitched, I use it on k70 and it's a real novelty to me that I only knew the 18mm of the kit lens as wide angle. Once mounted, hardly replace it, to be honest I also like for portraits, very sharp even at the edges. Maybe only the F/4 limits Me in the scenic with little light... But in this case intervene to help me the high ISO of K70. sent on March 25, 2019 |
![]() | Pentax HD DA 35mm f/2.8 Macro Limited Pros: Weight, construction, sharpness Cons: No Opinion: Purchased used, the build quality is excellent, as in the case of the other lenses of the Pentax Limited range. This is not a heavy lens has a weight of only 215 g despite the use of aluminum in its construction. I'm using it on K70 obtaining wonderful results, I find it very performance also on portraits. As Macro lens is fantastic, maybe the only flaw is that you have to approach almost to touch the subject and focheggiare...ma for me is not a problem... I highly recommend sent on July 11, 2018 |
