![]() | Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S Pros: S-series, good construction, excellent sharpness Cons: Extrudes by increasing the focal length Opinion: Lens that I bought in the kit with the Z7 II that I took advantage of the bare minimum as 90% of my shots are taken with wide angle. I took it as the only lens on my trip to Belgrade and I must say that the shots I got were to my liking. Excellent sharpness over the entire frame, small size and weight, S series. The fact that it extrudes by increasing the focal length requires a bit of attention during the shot but I didn't experience it as a big problem. It does not perform very well in photos in the absence of light. A lens that I would recommend purchased in combo with a camera body but that personally (for the type of shots) I would not take in stand-alone mode. sent on March 28, 2025 |
![]() | 7Artisans 9mm f/5.6 Fullframe Pros: Build Quality, Good Image Quality, "Extreme" Perspective Cons: Flare, Distortion, Absence of a Lens Profile Opinion: I wanted to try this lens on Nikon Z; I kept her for almost a year without ever finding the right feeling with her. The lens suffers quite significantly from flare in backlight/night shots. Distortion is present in a significant way and requires a complex correction in post-production. There is no profile for Camera Raw/Lightroom (I tried to write 7aritsans directly without success). The quality/sharpness of the image is not discussed, it has an excellent rendering considering the price. The "spark" never went off and I decided to deprive myself of it. sent on March 28, 2025 |
![]() | Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S Pros: Sharpness, Small size/weight, blurred, excellent construction workmanship Cons: Price (a bit like all Z lenses) Opinion: It's a lens I've been using for the last two years waiting to find the right opportunity for the 100-400 Z. Doing landscape photography, I found myself very often shooting at 200mm using very little focal lengths between 70 and 100. The lens is a knife already at f 5.6, giving the image a great sharpness even in the corners. The weight and dimensions are contained and in extension to 200 does not take up more space than 70mm. A really fantastic lens, a real blade, but absolutely "wasted"" (pass me the word) in the hands of a landscaper who with a 100/400 has more possibilities from the point of view of focal lengths, working at aperture f9 / f11. In fact, since I have the 100-400 I have not had the opportunity to take it out (and for this reason, reluctantly, I sold it). Indispensable (and will not disappoint you) for photos to people with truly exceptional blurs. sent on September 25, 2023 |
![]() | Voigtlander APO-Lanthar 35mm f/2 Aspherical Pros: Great Sharpness/Versatility/Star Effect Cons: Non-tropicalized/weight Opinion: I had been looking for a 35mm lens for my Nikon Z7 II for a while and I was not fully convinced by the shots of the Nikon Z lens. The lens is compact (a bit heavy) and is totally manual (focus and aperture). I don't consider it a problem, in fact I remembered when I was shooting with the Samyang 14mm manual. The movement of the focus is fluid, not too "soft" and precise. Ditto the ring for the setting of the Diaphragm. Mounting on the machine also fluid that confirms the excellent construction workmanship of the lens. Distortion practically absent (however, after manual selection the correction of the profile in Camera Raw / Lightroom). The only drawback is the absence of tropicalization, and the weight (for its small size, however, it is a nice brick). Excellent flare resistance. Before writing this review I took it with me on three different trips, with three different types of backpack: (Ibiza: Village; Sweden: Fly and Drive with Family; Trekking in the Dolomites). It never let me down. Absolutely highly recommended. ATTENTION TO THE FRONT DIAMETER FILTERS: for Nikon Z it is 52mm (not 49 mm as indicated in this Juza sheet). Always check the specifications on the dealer's website before purchasing filters/adapters and/or polarizers sent on September 09, 2023 |
![]() | Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Pros: Definition/Flare Resistance/Compactness/Different Filter Solution Cons: Price Opinion: I have heard so much criticism from many non-Nikonists about this lens. Personally (for the use I make of it) has never disappointed me in any situation. Sharpness/Versatility/dimensions and above all the possibility of having different solutions for filters / polarizer: - Possible purchase of circular filters to be mounted in the 120mm hood; - You can buy and install Haida rear ND filters; - Possibility to buy the adapter to use the 10x10cm plates - Possibility to purchase the entire S6 NiSi system for circular polarizer + 150mm plate filters Compared to its predecessor for Full Frame SLR it has a truly enviable flare resistance even in really high backlight conditions. The focus is fast and precise, the sharpness really good. The only negative point is certainly the price (a bit like all Z lenses), but now you begin to find some used in excellent condition. To conclude; A choice that certainly does not regret! sent on May 28, 2023 |
![]() | Nikon Z 50mm f/1.8 S Pros: Material/Yield/Focus Cons: Weight, Price Opinion: I was a bit hesitant to buy this lens as I do 99% landscape photography. Instead I immediately changed my mind. The material is robust, the lens is compact (in short, it is not a plasticone). Excellent focusing speed. The thing that struck me most was the sharpness and the level of detail already at f5.6 (in all the shots I never had to close more). For urban photography it was a very valuable ally of my Z7 II. The price is slightly high for the type of lens; Fortunately there are used ones in excellent condition where you can take it home at a reasonable price. sent on May 06, 2023 |
