![]() | Fujifilm X-S10 Pros: All those of a fujifilm mirrorless + stabilized sensor, adjustable screen, usb C charging and ergonomics Cons: loss of vintage look (and convenience of rings, but maybe it's just a matter of habit) and shooting type selector Opinion: Summing up my humble judgment in one sentence: this is the perfect camera for the photoadamator (and a great second body for professionals) The new look winks at non-fuji users who are scared of manual rings and want to get closer to this world. It is not bad, on the contrary, but it loses some of that charm that the X-t2 (from which I come) and similaria give you. For ghiere lovers like me, however, you do not remain totally dry-mouthed because there are 3 customizable "anonymous" rings (unfortunately not 100%); for example the sx ring has become my iso ring (although unfortunately, activating it, as well as modifying the iso, and this is good, makes the list of iso values appear that then go to clog the image field until you click something, and this is bad, because it wastes time and in any case seems a useless step) The stabilization of the sensor and ergonomics were the highlights that made me abandon t2; stabilization is the real plus, shots without moving at previously unimaginable times. The ergonomics, on the other hand, I do not find it who knows how much better, the ring finger and the little finger remain floating and therefore the grip is not as exceptional as I had hoped, the usability to one hand remains limited but I think it is perfect for a hand of "normal" size. It still remains more comfortable than the others, both t2 and t20, but something is still missing (this is a very personal opinion). The image quality, the AF, and everything else remains of excellent quality. Battery life is satisfactory. The evf is in line with those of the small x-t20, t30 etc (a nice viewfinder on this s10 would have given her praise). I do not know if it is my limit but I would like to be able to reverse the functionality of the right rings (the front with the rear), to date in the various modes the rear ring is always dedicated to the comp exposure while the front adjusts opening or shooting speed (I would prefer the opposite and I can not change it). I disabled the touch in terms of focus and shooting but it is useful for gestures (yes, they can also be used with touch shooting options disabled, which is a great thing) In conclusion: the "touch and feel" loses something compared to a flagship, but gains weight and general comfort. It is very customizable, but not 100%. The picture quality is excellent. Personal request to Fujifilm: the next one would you make me look like this but with vintage rings and a little bigger viewfinder? That would be perfection, at least for me. ![]() | Fujifilm XF 18mm f/2 R Pros: Compactness, price, yield Cons: Nobody Opinion: I had already had it two years ago, sold to try other lenses such as 16mm 2.8 and 27mm, but also standard zooms, a week ago I bought it back and this time it is forever. It will be my everyday and also travel lens, excellent optical rendering, not negligible depth for an 18mm, I will never abandon it again sent on November 18, 2020 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR Pros: Weight, wr, construction Cons: Nothing specific but a little shabby, maybe the cost of the new Opinion: I write this review the moment I decided to sell the lens after a month and a half of use and the only thing I can say is that it is a normal lens, without glaring flaws and without tips of enthusiasm. He does his and nothing more. Sharpness and colors in the norm, little magic but not necessarily bad, is that fuji has accustomed me too well with other lenses and this by comparison seems precisely "too normal", I think at this point I will take either the 14mm or a zoom like the 16-80 or even the 16-50 that from the reviews does not seem too much worse than this fixed 16mm 16mm sent on August 17, 2020 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T2 Pros: Aesthetics, dial-hand controls, image quality, cost, autofocus Cons: Ergonomics (totally personal, I was better with the X-T1), held high iso in difficult circumstances but ignorable if you do not have to make large prints Opinion: I'm not a professional, I'm a photoamateur and passionate, I had the x-t10, x-t1, x-t20 and I can say that the X-T2 is the right final evolution of my personal growth in the fujifilm system. Perfect on every occasion, now irreplaceable (the x-t3 does not interest me, I think it is more suitable for video makers), I am totally satisfied and happy every time I take it in my hands, even without shooting; She just misses the meow, but it's total love. sent on August 31, 2019 |
![]() | Panasonic Lumix LX100 Pros: Aesthetics, lightness, versatility, battery, price, viewfinder, connectivity. Cons: Non-touch and non-swivel Display, all too small for a large hand. Opinion: I state that I bought it in mid 2018 and I am satisfied. My biggest gripe is the size, too big for one hand and too small for two, I would have preferred a more full-bodied grip. For the rest is a fantastic machine, the ring nuts make you take a dip in the fascinating world of analogue, they make you feel one with the machine and give a pleasant sensation to the touch and to the hearing. Recommended to anyone, for newbies (has a completely automatic mode ready to take over in times of difficulty) and for experts. The 24-72mm lends itself well to several occasions. sent on June 18, 2018 |
