nikon_z7Nikon Z7

Pros: Quality, dynamic range, weight

Cons: If I have to say one, the batteries could last a little longer

Opinion: Then after a year of use I feel I can give my modest opinion on this object. I came from the reflex world of Canon and decided to skip the barricade because I wanted to switch to a lower weight system for my trips to the Dolomites but that gave me more quality than I had before even though I had a very good kit in Canon. And also a bit because I have always been attracted to the nikon brand but this is not a valid motivation. I found what I was looking for, I wanted a few extra megapixels for my landscape photos that I know well that are not everything but the difference anyway in terms of detail do it, I wanted a lighter system and I found it (although the 70-200 is not really light but goes well), I found a better dynamic range, the very comfortable electronic viewfinder that I had always slapped but now I would not do it without because it offers different not recently. I wanted to raise the quality and this was done and the native optics offer a really high standard in quality, in terms of sharpness especially, in pretty much every part of the frame. I am not a professional but after years of hobby and reflex use I feel I can say that the mirrorless system is really level, especially this Z7. I speak for it because it's the only one I've tried. In truth I also tried an EOS rp but without native optics (but they are machines that are on different levels and investments). All this applies to landscape photography that I practice where I believe that this machine is really an excellence, I can not speak for other genres that I do not practice continuously. I really recommend it so much because it has only given me joys and I think it will offer me many more. If we really have to find something that could have gone better here the batteries could last just a little longer. But I can't say I'm dissatisfied, at most I'll have to have three with me instead of two. But otherwise it's really a gem.

nikon_z14-30_f4sNikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S

Pros: Sharpness, yield, lightness

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I used this lens during the summer and I can say I am really satisfied. Great sharpness even at the edges, light and super portable really gives us a fantastic image quality. I am not a professional photographer but I would recommend it because the rendering coupled with the fantastic Z7 gave me great satisfaction. Great range of focals, wide enough. I did not find great distortions, automatic correct in the car, excellent colors, flare content. Really glad I bought it. If we really want to find the hair in the egg it's not f 2.8 but I think in the night can still be able to say its in a more dignified way. But I really struggle to find cons because it really seems like a job well done by nikon overall, as well as the whole Z system.

canon_50_f1-2Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM

Pros: bokeh, image quality, L-series

Cons: I haven't seen any

Opinion: I have owned this lens for a few years now and I find it really exceptional. Before buying it maybe I was a bit reluctant but once I did a first test at the store it was love at first sight. Fantastic for portraits, also used at full opening has a fast and accurate autofocus (i use it together with 5dmark3) and gives a beautiful blur. It won't be the sharpest lens in the world if we use it at f1.2 but it returns a very good level of detail in my opinion. The use mainly for portrait but also for landscape gave joys, after all from f2.8 onwards the lens becomes very sharp. In recent years I have gone to Venice to portray the carnival masks and the lens has performed excellently in all light conditions, even in the early morning when it was almost dark he churned out very good photos and never betrayed them. Perhaps at full openness in the backlight suffers a bit of chromatic aberration that tends to notice but as I see it no one is perfect and the positive things far outweigh this little mole. I bought it used at a price in my opinion very good, about 900, and I consider them really well spent, if you like the genre portrayed rely on this lens and you will be happy with it.
