Photography (wildlife, landscape, aerial, portraiture)
Traditional music (especially Irish, Greek, bluegrass)
I am a 63 year old Irishman who has moved through the photographic timeline since owning an Agfa Silette in the 1960s. I have wide interests and love music. I used to play the Uilleann pipes and still play the tin whistle. My health has not been great for the past two decades and I had a liver transplant in January. It was successful and I am now feeling great - I have a new life!!
I travelled widely in my younger years and lived in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malta. I worked for the UN in Micronesia for a time in the 1980s.
I continue my ecological consultancy work, specialising in birds, but also take in mammals, amphibians, habitat survey and assessment and aquaculture. I carry out commercial aerial photography for wind farm companies. I have an apartment in Tenerife and am working on a wildlife guide to Tenerife.
