![]() | Nikon AF 60mm f/2.8 D Micro Pros: Image Detail, Colors, Black and White Yield, Fast Focus for My Needs, Value for Money Cons: Frankly, no one at the moment Opinion: I tested this lens in combination with my initially skeptical D750 as I love lenses with openings such as to allow blurry of a certain type since portraiture is my main passion. Immediately I was impressed by the sharpness and colors that this lens returns and, as a icing on the cake, in Black and White makes a lot. The blurry also proved very pleasant despite the maximum opening of 2.8. Another aspect that convinced me is in fact the focal point in fact I tried the 80mm, typical of the portrait, but it limited me a lot in use because it was too narrow. The 60mm is for my perfect taste. In the end, as you can imagine from a test it turned into a purchase by eventually replacing the classic 50mm in the bag. I consider it an excellent lens for those who have machines that allow to motorize their autofocus, unfortunately the recent Z do not allow to do so so it would work exclusively in manual and the speech changes them. sent on April 14, 2021 |
![]() | Canon 5D Mark III Pros: Robust to the far-fetched, Picture Quality, Ergonomics, Value for Money Cons: So far, no one, but I've had it relatively little. Opinion: I started from a decidedly different idea from how it then evolved or to support the Leica M9, which I deeply love, an autofocus with low expenditure but high quality for some jobs. That's why I took an interest in the second-hand market on a much smaller budget than things went. Initially I took a 5DmkII dedicating my attentions especially to optics, a spectacular 24/70 f.2.8 USM. The problem though is that the moment I started using it I immediately realized that from there I would soon look for a newer machine body to be able to stop as happened with M9 without regrets so I immediately made the 5DmkII and put the difference for a practically perfect 5DmkIII, with 21000 shots. I have always had an attraction to solid objects, done well, without many frills and here of substance I find a lot of them. I didn't want tiltable monitors or touch or other features that somehow, in my view, weaken the structure. I don't care about the videos I don't do, I didn't do and I guess I won't... It must be said that I come from NIKON which I have always liked very much and here I have to say that on ergonomics I made a little effort but... everything is solved and now I handle it quietly without problems. On the images, the first photographs were exhilarating especially compared to the 5DmkII... I found an improvement on equal terms quite important. After that what is missing from a camera with a few years on its shoulders does not frighten me since the substance that the Canon 5DmkIII returns to those who own it goes above all the rest. I'll definitely do an Edit later with impressions of longer usage. sent on March 15, 2021 |
![]() | Leica M9 / M9-P Pros: Constructive Quality, File Yield, Simplicity of Use, M Optical Quality, Bella crazy in Black Paint. Cons: Maybe the display but I don't use it Opinion: I arrived at the Leica M9 passing by the M8 with a lot of qualms having read of some experiences in black and white less exhilarating than the M8. Since I hardly use the color profile I found an opportunity to buy it and I caught it. I've never regretted it since. Describing its build quality might be superfluous, it would be like boasting that a Roll's Royce is built well... and we'd also miss it. It is heavy but at the same time very balanced, the viewfinder I find second only to the M3, had in the past, but we are perfect. The quality of the photos... I can only say that I am always excited. Mind you, we always talk about black and white. Infinite shades of gray (other than 50...), deep blacks and that feeling in whites that only the film could return me. On everything, however, the approach wins. A way of living photography more "thought", without the kind of anxiety from a thousand shots that I have always tried with other systems. The display may be the only weak point because certainly much less performing than the current ones but I don't care because I never use it in fact I keep it covered using a leather back cover that give it an amazing vintage look, from old film machine. Another detail that makes a difference to me... material. Brass painted in black that reappears in the beading and in the places where it is most handled... Wow!!! It's a machine that I don't recommend at all, actually... it has to like the telemeter and a certain approach to photography and the only risk factor as far as I'm concerned is the Monochrom CCD. But she can hardly be ousted from her throne. sent on January 23, 2020 |
![]() | Benro iT15 Pros: Small, light, very versatile, converts into a monopod Cons: Currently nothing Opinion: I was given by my partner as a complement to my first equipment cannot be said to have meters of comparison with other products like that but I'm meeting a lot. Much light to carry is a breeze to place thanks to the setting of the feet. I use it with a Nikon D90 with a battery grip, second battery and, at most, the 18/105 of the kit for which a setup of medium weight. In one minute turns into a monopod which is very convenient. Frankly, you may not find faults my younger accomplice experience, especially considering the price. But I can testify that several friends who take long have enjoyed far more famous and expensive although easels. Highly recommended for those who want to be light while having everything. sent on April 16, 2018 |
